I made great tasty coffee yet without burning bitter taste.
I long to roast my own drinking coffee and I final did. The taste was great. From washing green beans, roasting in wok, grinding in stone grinder and Brewing in enamel kettle, a lot of work but the final result was quite enjoyable. By the way I have it grinded in electrical grinder with metal blades and brewed in French press with metal filter the result was different. I always avoid my green tea to contact metal (taste changed). Apparently the same rule applys to the coffee as well. Also wok is the best for roasting any kind of beans or rice for even roasting result. The picture is shown after roasted coffee.

Great bean, just work on your technique
Roasted a few times and still working to get just the right profile. One of the key articles I've read specifically on wet procssed Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is to get more energy up front (higher temperature) so you don't get an ongoing 1st crack that seems to not end. That can cause fruit notes initially followed by a muddy flavor w/o the high temperatures upfront. What I've made so far I've really enjoyed. Just need to perfect my roasting for this bean. I'm using the whirley pop method and it's been amazing.

Best deal for coffee lovers!
As a home roaster, I've been looking for a source of affordable green coffee beans. Fortunately, I found this! At the time of purchase, it worked out to be just over $7/lb. Ethiopian Yirgachafee and Costa Rica LaManita Tarazu are two of my favorite varieties, and were spot on what I got. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Yirgecheffe! Best Amazon Coffee Order to date!
We have ordered several Lavassa green coffees and have been reasonably satisfied given the price point. However, where Yirgacheffe is concerned, they don't even come close to the FRC green coffee! I'm surprised the reviews for the other varietals offered by FRC are all mixed together in one review pool. I've only found one other review for Yirge. After having gone through a LOT of different green Yirgees from different distributors, this is the second best I've ever had and it is by far the most affordable! Or at least it was... it appears to have fallen off the Amazon Prime lists since I ordered it and received it... It was the equivalent of $6 per pound. They advertise the beans as Grade 2. I'm not sure what the limit is on quakers in grade 2. In roasting two cups of beans I found maybe 7 or so beans to reject before roasting (bug damage, discoloration or under ripe). After roasting them I probably found 10-12 quakers. That seems a bit high for Grade 2 to my inexperienced self, but that was far fewer than other "good quality" Yirgees I've roasted, especially Lavassa. We like our roast a light as possible while still achieving full bean flavor. 1:20 after first crack has yielded marvelous results with this bean! I've only roasted one Yirge that was better. Floral and citrusy notes abound. The Lavassa Yirge we had to roast quite a bit more just to get any flavor out of it, and we were never happy with the result. So this was cheaper, better quality beans and a much livelier and enjoyable cup than Lavassa. Thank you (ironically named) Fresh Roasted Coffee for such wonderful unroasted coffee! Hopefully by the time we're out, this will be back on Prime at the lower price point. Even if it wasn't (depending on price) I certainly consider ordering it again anyway.

Beautiful Taste
If you get the roast just right, medium to dark roast, you can really taste the blueberries. I roast in a simple cast iron skillet over a propane camping stove.

Great flavor with medium and dark roasts
This coffee will become a staple for me. It has excellent flavor and allows for multiple roasts while keeping flavorful.

It is the real deal, love this coffee!!!
I was looking for more Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Kochere Coffee, this stuff hit the spot. Exactly what I was looking for. Coffee is like everything else that involves the subjective nature of taste. Add to that the fact that this is green coffee being roasted individually I don't understand how anyone can rate this product a one star product.

Ethiopian yirgacheffe is My favorite bean. The price went up by 20% since I bought it last time while I did not get a raise. Life is getting tuffer every year. But what can you do. I could not switch to other bean. Love this bean. No traces of bitterness and acidity. Good body after you let it sit for two to three days.
