I write a lot of reviews and I like to think I am very honest in my appraisal of the products I write about. After all, when I read reviews I appreciate honesty as it helps me make my purchasing decisions. I've noticed that lately I've given just about everything 5 stars which is usually not the case. But the fact is that my recent purchases DESERVE 5 stars and this garlic press is no exception. I bought this press after my other press started leaching off weird colors onto my hands and onto the garlic. I shopped around and ultimately ended up with this good grips version because of my experience with other good grips products along with the good reviews this had. I am thrilled with it... - very easy to use and very easy to extract the garlic - LOVE that the handles swings in reverse to push out the little holes which keeps the holes from clogging - LOVE that you really don't have to peel the garlic at all.... it will effortlessly press the garlic out past the skin - if your hands are sore or achy this is still easy to use. - love how much garlic it can press at one time.... it has a large area for the cloves - cleanup is a breeze. If you rinse it off right away it will take you seconds to clean. If you wait and let the garlic dry onto the press it will take you a little longer but not very long BOTTOM LINE: this is one great garlic press. I can't recommend it highly enough. I should have bought it years ago rather than waiting for my other one to die

This item works well at pressing the garlic. I have recently opted to using this item when a recipe calls for minced onions. I like the red rubber pad that pushes the remnants of the skin out after having pressed the garlic through the holes. The rubber on the handles seem well made as I've washed it several times and it had held quite well. I can see having this item in my kitchen essentials for years to come.

For years I used el cheapo garlic press, which pressed terribly + made my hands ache. It was some cruddy material, not stainless and I seriously don't even remember where I got it from. I think I threw it away. Utterly useless. I just got this OXO Soft Handled Garlic Press + now I am just looking for reasons to press garlic! I love the quality + construction of this garlic press; it is a pleasure to use. Clean up is a breeze. What an easy way to get a lot of garlic into one's diet!

These are such a time-saver! We put garlic in almost everything we cook. No more chopping and dicing! We simply smash the garlic with the back side of a knife, peel away the paper and stick them in the press! One squeeze and we have 3 cloves of garlic going into the pot! They are VERY durable and made from high quality materials. Also, if you flip them inside out, the red, rubber part pushes any remnants back out of the holes. So easy to clean!

The best garlic press. I've bought several for friends and family as well. It is super easy to clean as you just put it under water and flip it so that the little rubber nubs push out the leftover peel. You don't even have to peel the garlic to use it, just pop it in and squeeze.

Got this to replace my old garlic press which had a separate little rubber thing to press the excess bits out with. We lost the extra piece and the press became impossible to keep clean. This is much, much better. The opening is wide enough for multiple medium cloves, it cleans much more easily- and you can’t lose the cleaner bit!- and its heft makes it easy to press the garlic through. Very happy.

I did a lesson at school on simple machines: levers, and lost my wife's garlic press. She wasn't too pleased. I bought the OXO Good Grips Soft-Handled Garlic Press to replace the lost one and ended up getting extra brownie points with my wife because she likes it so much. The OXO Good Grips Soft-Handled Garlic Press is heavy duty and durable. It feels good in the hands, cleans easy, and makes the job of pressing garlic simple.

This does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It crushes the heck out of some garlic. I can usually fit about two cloves in there and then it’s go time. The handle makes it easy and comfortable to turn big garlic into small garlic. Whether I’m crushing garlic to make a delicious meal or simply for the stress relief I get from smashing garlic cloves with one hand, this is the right tool to do it with. I don’t know what all those other haters are saying about the finish chipping off when they clean it. Maybe they are using a wire brush like a crazy person. I just rinse it off, chuck it in the dish washer and in about an hour I’m ready to crush more garlic! I would purchase it again, but I probably won’t have to.

I have crushed so much garlic since my new garlic press arrived that I don't think I'll be seeing any vampires again any time soon. I love this thing. Pop in a peeled clove and, presto! - crushed garlic. It's heavy-duty and easy to clean and, really, I have no complaints. This is the second one I've owned - the first one broke after years of use so I can't fault the quality. It just got overworked from an abundance of vampires that swarmed somewhere around the 2016 election. Not sure why. But - bottom line - I would recommend this garlic press to anyone!

This is the third garlic press we bought. I was shopping for the easiest to clean because let's face it, they all press garlic, that's a given. Garlic is pretty soft so it doesn't take much to press it. The hard part is making a kitchen utensil that is easy to clean. This one is very easy. I basically just threw away the other two we bought, even though they cost about the same. You see the red pad on the back side of the press, it has nubs that stand proud of the surface, and you just flip the handle all the way backwards and the pad fits into the metal holes and pushes the leftover garlic out of the holes. Rinse while you're doing it and you're done.
