Having readily accessible 1" acid-free artist's tape makes matting and a variety of other tasks a bit less hassle. You can certainly work without a dispenser, it's just easier when the tape is handy and I can't imagine how you could improve this dispenser!

I love these InLine tape dispensers - I have quite a few of them in different sizes. These work perfect for holding a couple of different sizes of cellophane tape. The blade is nice and sharp, sharp enough to slice you finger on easily if you aren't careful! Makes for an easy job of pulling off pieces of tape to the size you want though.

I was looking for a way to get tape one-handed. This product works great. Heavy base. Some reviewers said it was not stable enough and would move when getting the tape. It may move a bit, but if you are careful and put the right angle pressure, it works great. I'd say if you are getting a very long piece of tape it would be hard to get the right angle of pressure to do it without moving the base. Great product, has increased my efficiency greatly.

I work in professional pyrotechnics on a semi-regular basis. I am also a hobbyist pyrotechnician, and this tape dispenser has been a lifesaver to say the least. I've used small handheld masking tape dispensers, and they work ok... This however is perfect for the heavier grade 1" kraft paper tape that I prefer over masking tape. The tape I use holds stronger than masking tape, and you need a heavier grade dispenser to hold it down, with a good blade to cut through it. This has both. I can create fuse joints, seal handmade shells, affix small fountains to boards, and repair shell leaders with this heavier tape and the dispenser makes it a one man job, instead of having someone else dispense tape. I'll probably be buying more of these in the future, or maybe a bigger dispenser so I can have more than one type of tape that I use readily available. Quality of manufacture is top notch, I highly recommend this product.

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED - came out of the box quality built item. I was impressed by the fully padded/foam lined bottom which you cannot see in the image, item stays put where you put it. This saves so much time: finding the 1" roll, trying to peel up where you left off. This was best solution. I put 2 types of different tape, so even more time saved.

I use it to dispense masking tape for bindings. Don't know how I lived without this thing for so long. One inch max width on the tape. Solidly constructed with a good, non-slip base. It's all steel so it's got some mass to it but I wish it was a little heavier as it lifts up a little when pulling the 1 inch tape. To be expected though, much more resistance than 3/4" wide tape so I'll just mount it to a heavy steel plate or something. Highly recommended if you use a lot of short lenghts.

I was using masking tape to hold pieces of wood in place until the glue dried. I was tearing the tape off by hand and it was a struggle. The tape would rip off to one side as I was peeling it and my finger nails were taking a beating scraping it up again. With the dispenser I eliminated all those issues. The weight of the dispenser make this a one hand operation. It was a long production run and this dispenser saved me hours of work. Excellent.

I am no longer searching for where I put my tape or where the end of the tape is. I think I'm saving many hours in the week with this one little tool. It is fairly sturdy so that I can pull with one hand (it isn't 100% slide proof, but it is sufficient for me). Super happy that I got this.

Can hold three 1" rolls of tape. Great for Christmas package wrapping. Never lose track of that tiny tape dispenser again! And after the holidays, it's great for the garage. I tape everything. When I have a project, I build a cardboard prototype first with lots of tape. This dispenser makes it easy to do with one hand!

Way beefier than I expected. I had to bend one side in a little bit though for the tape roll to stay in place. Also I don't know why the tape guide doesn't go all the way across. Trying to put a 2" and a 1" roll in there doesn't quite work unless you don't use the tape guide for one of the rolls. The guides are just M4 threaded spacer rods so I'm just going to replace it with a standoff that is longer than what came with it. I didn't know how much I needed a tape dispenser until I got this. I watched Adam Savage spend an entire episode building one which is how I ended up searching Amazon for this. You really need to mount it to something for wider tape. It's burly enough to dispense 2" wide duct tape but you will pull it right off the workbench if it's not screwed down.
