Coconut oil for dry facial skin

I ordered the Viva Labs Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to use with a combination of Jamican Black Castor Oil and Rosemary Oil to use on my hair that was getting thin. I made a hot oil treatment that I have used a few times I noticed an immediate difference in less hair falling out. But in the process I found that when I wiped the coconut oil off my face my face became less dry. So now I clean my face every day with the coconut oil. Good for my dogs

I give coconut oil treats to my dogs every day, so it was important to me to have a good, quality coconut oil. This does the trick. I melt it, pour it back into bite size ice cube trays, add a couple blueberries and freeze them. My boys get one every day with their meal, and they love them. I've read, in more than one place, that it's important to use organic coconut oil when feeding your pets, so that's another plus. I've also used it a few times to rub directly into their coats for dry skin relief. I've also used it on my feet at night and then covered with a pair of cotton socks to help alleviate dry heels, and rubbed some through my hair for dry hair issues. Great product.

I love this coconut oil

I love this coconut oil! When I do my ratings I like to start every review with 5 Stars ★★★★★ then if there is some problem or quality control issue I will subtract a Star -★, in rare cases I will +★ give a bonus point and explain why the subtraction or addition occurred. In this way it gives reasoning to the ratings system. By the way there are never any deductions for things I consider whims or wants on my part. The ★ Results: No stars removed,Viva Labs Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is priced very fair and quality control is working well for this product. It seems to be a little harder in its solid state compared to other coconut oils I have used in the past but as I use this tub solely for beauty purposes, I only need a small amount as it goes a long way once it has been warmed up by placing it on ones skin. As I have not used this for cooking purposes, I cannot speaking to its quality and taste in food preparation; however, what I can say is that I never complain when I lick my lips after using it for lip moisturizer :) Do I like this product? YES! Would I buy this again? YES! Would I tell a friends, family, or co-workers about this item? YES I will this cable is like I say awesome! If you only want it for cooking, it's still worth the price.

You don't have to buy into 'the miraculous qualities' of coconut oil to use it. I don't, and give it five stars for being a good product at a good price. I use cocoa butter on my hands, and dairy butter when I cook. After reading an article about coconut oil sweetening the taste of kale and other slightly bitter greens; adding a nice taste to eggs, salmon, shrimp, pork, et al.; how it's a good moisturizer; I figured it wouldn't cost any more than the butters. It's excellent on all three counts, and if the price remains fairly reasonable I'll buy it again and again. I alternate with butter for its particular qualities -- my personal wisdom for life: Everything's Better with Butter -- but this is a nice flavor addition. I'll probably still use cocoa butter on my hands in the winter because the coconut oil is too light for the kind of cold & dryness we get here. Years ago, when I constantly highlighted & permed my hair, I applied hot oil treatments to keep it in good condition. I don't need to do that anymore, but this would work as well as any when heated, inasmuch as people have been putting all kinds of oil combinations in their hair for many centuries. The hot oil treatments I used were specifically formulated for hair, and rinsed out easily with shampoo. Because this is 100% OIL I have to wonder what one has to use to get it out of her hair afterward, inasmuch as it takes dish detergent to get it out of the skillet, and if all that after-washing reduces it to a pointless exercise. It smells really nice, though, in the pan or on your skin. If the hype about lauric acid is true, so much the better. I'm not knocking those who believe everything they read about coconut oil, as we all believe what we choose to believe, myself included. But being a bit of a natural skeptic, I find over-the-top reviews kind of a turn-off, leaving me not wanting to even try what's being reviewed. Basically this review is for people like me: Don't be put off by the hype - it's a good, useful product.

This is the only one that doesn't smell like cooking oil

I have used several different brands of coconut oil. This is the only one that doesn't smell like cooking oil. The other types of coconut oil I have used for my hair and skin have smelled like fried food to me and doesn't moisturize my skin as much as sit on top of it. I use this oil for everything! It has done wonders on my hair, I use it as makeup remover, I mix it with lotion for my skin, and have even used it to help repair the cracks in my heels. Can't say enough about it.

I struggled w severe hair loss after my pregnancy and just plain didnt know what to do. I cried every time i brushed my hair. So having gone to a hair salon w an intention of having them chop all my hair off, i was comforted by the women there who told me not to worry. Yes there is no magic remedy that will fix the issue but they said to try coconut oil masks. I ordered a big thing of it and started using it like crazy. My hair has always been thin, and i wish i knew about coconut oil sooner. I did go overboard some would say but i love the results. It took about 3 months. I have a lot of new hair growth (a lot) and the texture of my hair has changed too, not only i have more hair but i also feel that it got thicker. I put coconut oil all over the roots and all over my hair about twice a week before i went to bed (i had a big towel on my pillow), and then washed it all out in the morning. Ladies at the salon just told me to do a hair mask for an hr but i felt like an hr wouldnt do anything. My mom now uses it too and she loves it. She also told me she didnt realise she was rubbing the leftovers of the oil on her face and noticed a lot of facial hair growth, so be careful about that haha In the pictures you see the shortest hair? it's all grown in the past three months and started growing at a crazy speed when I started using the oil

Great tasting coconut oil.

I am a huge fan of Viva Labs, now Viva Naturals, because their products are truly top notch. I have purchased almost a dozen different products from Viva Naturals and I have never been disappointed. Cocnut oil is a big part of my daily menu, so I decided to give it a shot; again outstanding product with quality; I have tried dozens different coconut oils from all over the places and this one is definitely top three. The only thing I would prefer, is a glass container, not a plastic.

Taste GREAT and is also a great lubricant!

This stuff is really flavorful and taste great! I was initially on the fence regarding this product as, depending on what article you just read, it might be hard for one to determine if this product is a good-for-you item or a bad-for-you item. Just like with eggs, the story or prevailing thought can often flip-flop many a times over the course of years of research. That being said, from my research, it seems the most recent thinking is that coconut oil is a good guy again. However, when I ran this (and the other things I was taking for my health) by my doctor, there was only one thing I was doing that he was absolutely convinced was doing me good... taking a table spoon of olive oil each night (specifically: Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil... which is also available here on Amazon... but I buy mine at Kroger). While I'm not eating this coconut oil by the bucket full, I do enjoy adding about one-half to two-thirds of a table spoon to my morning cup of coffee. Really good. One other thing I discovered about this coconut oil... this stuff is SLICK! While what you do in the bedroom is your own business, I'd guess this product could also be used as a natural substitute to any of those other types of oils or lubricants designed for such activities. Heck, it would probably even fix a squeaky door jamb for that matter.

Why anyone would give this product less than 5 stars is beyond me!! nice product good quality and quantity. thank you Update: my skin after a month is amazing!! My elbows are no longer darker and tough feeling. I rub my elbows in habit now due to shock!! Buy this ignore what few bad reviews of people getting the product not knowing how to store it or yes I think maybe someone got a bad batch. It happens RETURN it and have it replaced. UPDATE: 08/11/2016 I just purchased another one of 54oz to save money. This product has now become a daily go to in our home! We have been oil pulling every day. My breath is amazing in the mornings. My sons brown tooth discoloring has disappeared ( we noticed a difference with his teeth with in 3 days to be honest WHITER and no we did not change our toothpaste at all. 20 mins of swooshing each morning on an empty tummy then brushing after. Wait at least 15mins prior to eating or drinking anything ) Also during the day I feel LESS build up on my teeth, its almost as if the oil coats your teeth!! My breathe has no smell to it in the morning. This stuff is amazing guys!! Plus its great for cooking also. I also use it for my hair I purchased a small dispenser bottle and I mix this coconut oil in with organic usda jobo oil and argon oil. My hair loves it! Not to mention my lower legs always look dry and cracked NOT anymore!! *** LADIES *** darker skin between your legs or buttock area! This does the charm but LIGHTLY spread in these area, VERY lightly its oil after all. FACE USE: using this daily and again lightly on the face, my skin is smoother and over all a clear complexion. I am 32 and I must say this product has been a blessing to my skin! Its the real deal! :) BABIES: Its PURE organic coconut oil, we use it on our newborn son also. All these products that say they are for babies, have you read the ingredients in them? Do you understand their meaning, some having drying agents alcohols included. UPDATE: 09/15/2016 - I am still purchasing this oil, and now actually using it in my soap making products!

Great Quality Coconut Oil Better Than Kirkland

I have used many different coconut oils and this one by Viva Naturals is by far the best one I have used. It has so many uses with amazing results. I can use this internally & externally and all in-between. I use it for my hair and scalp to moisturize, eliminated dandruff, smooth frizz and add shine. I put in on my face and body to moisturize, soften skin and smooth wrinkles. I put a teaspoon in my coffee, use it for cooking and baking (butter substitute) to help with digestion and boosting metabolism. I also use this as a carrier oil to mix with essential oils to make my own lotions and perfumes. I have noticed this brand works way better than the Kirkland brand with long lasting moisturizing on my body and overall price. Highly recommend!
