Best adult aquatic turtle food I've found

I like the smaller turtle kibble - with the bigger sizes, most just falls out of their mouth when they chomp down, which leads to even filthier. Often I find the smaller kibble are for small turtles' growth. I really don't want to encourage growth of our 8"+ red slider. I tried another brand of small kibble that turtle doesn't really like. This one works great, turtle likes it, and provides convenient variety. I will purchase again.

There are some Red Eared Sliders that live under a bridge by my house. When I walk past overhead, they swim closer to see if I have food, so I decided I would finally bring them some. They love this stuff. They always fall over each other to get to it. It's lasted me a few feedings and it's hardly dented the amount in the jar. This would last a while if you have just one. If wild turtles love it, I'm sure yours will too.

Our two little aquatic turtles love this stuff, but so does our dog, who chewed through the bottle and ate a bunch of turtle food . I'm going to have to buy a new bottle and remember to keep it away from the dog.

The smaller turtles really seem to love it

I have a pond in my neighborhood, with fish and about a dozen large aquatic turtles. I know that feeding them bread is bad, so I wanted to find something else they might enjoy. This mixture seems to be quite a hit, especially with the smaller (younger?) ones. And a little bit goes a long way! I saw on some other reviews for this product that they said there didn't seem to be may of the "worm" things in their mixture. The jar I got had plenty. And "my" turtles seem to prefer the pellets anyway!

This Stuff must be Good!

We have two red eared sliders and I've been giving them turtle and tetra food for the last year and a half. A few months ago I tried this Buffet Blend and all I can say is it must taste great because when they see me coming to the tank they literally jump to the window. They finish it in one sitting, and thank God there's a generous amount of shrimp because they love it!

My turtles like this and when they're happy, I'm happy. They do not like the meal worms but they're so small, that could be why. I'm saving them for when they get larger. They do like the pellets and the shrimp but I'm not giving them a lot of pellets each day because they make the water cloudy. For pond turtles, I think this would be better received than turtles indoors in an aquarium. Unless they gobble them down right away.

Addictive/Use as a treat

My turtle is already more energetic than most, after eating this food she got an extreme boost of energy. She began to splash loudly in her aquarium to get our attention to give her more, sometimes at 3 or 4 AM. Generally when fed she gets more if she's finished within 5 minutes. With this food she'd splash for more after about 3 minutes. She tends to over eat this food, once she continued to splash after 5 helpings I had to cut her off. I think my turtle is addicted to this food. I see similar reviews I suggest you use this as a treat and not food.

Happy turtle, happy life

My musk turtle wasn't eating his green pellets from the pet store, only eating the shrimp. I felt like he needed more nutrients so decided to order this. While there seems to be a lot more pellets than the freeze dried insects, my turtle loves these pellets!!! At first, he seemed confused or scared by them but after a day or two, he gobbled them up! I don't know if there is a taste difference but he always eats the red ones first. It makes me happy to see him happy. When I take out the jar, he starts swimming like crazy and presses up to the glad to get closer!

Not for juveniles. Drastically improved mealworm/shrimp content.

UPDATE: After 4 purchases, I have come to realize that the "mealworm/shrimp vs. pellets ratio has improved dramatically! I see tons of negative reviews resulting from the lack of mealworm/shrimp composition, and I wonder if Fluker's took notice and decreased the pellets content Unable to feed my juvenile painteds these yet, too big.For adults only. Recommend feeding in separate container if you value a clean living environ.
