Great little cylinder...
This is a very nice cylinder. Perfect size for my 7 gallon nano tank. It arrived with no scratches and the date on the tank was only 2 months old. I had it filled at a local supplier for $21.00, he checked it for leaks, no leaks, and he said that when the date on the tank expired, he could run some kind of pressure test and stamp a new date on it. Everything was delivered as promised.

Quality Tank
Nice tank. I have C02 filled at a welding supply that also supplies all the C02 for restaurants and bars in the area. The quick way is to give them your brand new tank and they give you a filled tank that may not be so new. The slow method is to drop off your tank and return in a few days to pick it up. I found the welding supply store sells their tanks filled for around 99 so this is a good way to save some bucks. I will be using the tank for the DIY Carbonated Water system.

Works great
I bought this tank to carbonate drinks at home and was able to fill it at a fire extinguisher company not too far from where I live. There is only one producer of CO2 here so there is no "food grade" CO2. By buying my own tank I can have it refilled and returned to me vs. swapping it out with a larger gas company who would give me a full tank from their inventory. Have had no issues with my tank and expect a lifetime of use.

Beautiful, lightweight and shiny!
Looked beautiful for the 6 minutes I had it in my possession, then the CO2 guy swapped it out for an ugly ass one. Oh well! I need CO2, not a new empty canister. But this was super light and fit inside a consumer kegerator with plenty of room to spare for my double CO2 regulator for two different kegs.

Great Tank.
Like a lot of reviews say this CO2 tank no longer comes with that metal handle. It is now a black plastic. This does not matter to me due to the fact that it is still durable and will be out of sight when in use (well... it'll be out of sight when not in use too.). Great tank good quality. I bought this in August time frame and had a hydro date of Jan 2016, so the tank was only 8 months old when I got. With a five your Hydro life that is cool with me. Pro tip: Get this tank filled locally for the life of the hydro. Once you get to near the end of life of the tank take it to a local welding store (PRAXair, Liquide,...) and exchange it. The exchange will be slightly more expensive than getting it refilled, but usually you will get an almost new tank.

Perfect!
I bought this tank to exchange at my local Airgas, they wanted me to pay $100 for a tank! So they weren't very excited to see me when I brought this in to exchange and they were hesitant at first. They inspected the tank and found the DOT stamp so they allowed me to exchange it. I did like the look and weight of this tank though so it was a shame to just exchange it for an old steel tank but I have to save money on my hobby or my wife will kill me!

Good Tank for your CO2 Needs.
First, this is my first time owning a gas cylinder but not my first time using one. As a chemist and certified SCUBA diver I have used a fair share of beat up old steel tanks full of various gases. This tank puts all those others to shame. The shinny brushed aluminum cylinder is a perfect companion for my fully planted aquarium. My tank arrived with a two month old hydro date, stamped with the dot necessities, and a plastic mesh sleeve to cover the exterior. The only thing missing on this cylinder would be the hazard communication standard sticker label with pictogram warning users that this is a gas cylinder containing a non-flammable carbon dioxide gas under pressure. Some places require these labels before they will fill your tanks. Upon receiving I immediately took it to my local fire extinguisher supplier and had it filled up for about $13. They had no problems with the tank. As far as the build quality goes for the price paid it is perfect. My only qualm is the plastic stem valve handle (my handle is black and not silver as shown in the picture). I am use to metal handles usually supplied with the bigger gas tanks. However, if necessary this could be changed out down the road, but by that time they hydro will be due and I will probably just end up swapping the tank out at a local gas supplier. Overall, I would rate this as a good buy regardless if you fill it or swap it out to fill your carbon dioxide. I called around and priced tanks at my local gas/welding suppliers and all of them quoted me $85 or more for a used tank. You do the math...

We're happy with it
Slightly higher price than what you can find these online for, but with free Prime shipping in two days the extra dollar or two was worth it to me. The bottle has a very recent "born on" date, so you have even more time before you have to get it hydrostatically tested. Has remained leak free since being filled. No complaints!

RESEARCH!!!
***GREAT BOTTLE BUT!*** Most places swap your empty bottle with a filled one, meaning you don't keep the one you purchased here! ALSO: Most placed that FILL instead of SWAP require the bottles to be inspected regularly, and that COSTS! Best to just pay a little more at the location that fills them for the first bottle and then continue to use their bottles.

Accurate but do your research
- Five-month old tank, which was acceptable. - Tank is robust and is date stamped - Valve is decent quality (not super high-end according to the filler). - I like the brushed, aluminum finish. Before I purchased this tank, I made sure suppliers here filled co2 tanks, not just exchanged tanks. - Cost me $9 to fill up. - The technician filler liked the tank, and with care believes it will last for five for sure. - He said if the valve starts leaking at the threads, immediately bring it in. I'd call and ask if I should drain it, first. - He said a Sherwood-branded valve would be the highest quality (I won't be changing the valve unless required).
