I bought these pans after a lot of research because I wanted the quality of stainless steel, but I was not quite ready for the price tag of all-clad cookware. This set has exceeded my expectations! First, I was hesitant about this set due to the comments about food sticking and the pans getting a weird residue over time. I have cooked with this set for almost 5 months now and I can cook scrambled eggs (with cheese mind you) AND with a rubber spatula and not have them stick (see photo for what the pan looked like after the eggs). On the other hand, I have had scrambled eggs stick horribly on the same pan. The difference has been letting the pan preheat to the correct temperature. I cannot emphasize that enough. These pans are very efficient at retaining heat and thus transferring heat evenly. I let it preheat with oil for about 5-7 minutes on the 2 setting (see picture of stove for reference) before putting food in the pan. If I am too impatient and don't let it preheat all the way, the food sticks. You run the risk of warping the pan by using too high of heat, not to mention burning your food. However, with that being said boiling a pot of water on high heat is ok because the water absorbs the heat and protects the pan from warping. Once you find the sweet spot for your own stove, these pans are awesome. About the residue, yes I have gotten that a few times. I purchased Bar keepers friend and scratch free scrubbies and it comes off in seconds. I do that before putting them in the dishwasher and it is not an issue. The residue seems to come only after certain foods or burning things, so I don't need to do it every time I wash them, but it makes me feel good inside so I still do it. Also, the pouring feature legitimately makes a huge difference. No more drips.

I love these pans! Well made and were a great price. For those who complained about the handles, I don't get it. The handles have a brushed steel look and stay pretty cool to the touch while you cook. The spouts and lids with the built in colander holes are just awesome! To keep things from sticking, avoid getting your pan too hot and don't put ice cold meat into the pan. I haven't had any problem searing my meat since I've followed the instructions listing on the description page (medium high heat, meat almost to room temperature, use a teaspoon of butter to judge when the pan is hot enough for the first few times you cook to get a feel for the pan. Butter should just start to foam, not fizz and turn brown. If this happens, start over). Hope that helps. I'm buying another set of these for my daughter and her fiance.

The pans are beautiful. They are well balanced and sturdy. If you dont follow the preheating and oil instructions, food will stick. You need metal utensils, too. Plastic will not work well. If food sticks, a breif soak followed by steel wool and powder cleanser cleans them up quickly and good as new. I have had mine a month or so and I use them everyday. Still gorgeous.

Have been using this for 6 months now and we love it. Each piece in the set has a nice heavy feel to it. We had looked all over department stores for something like this but everything we saw was either cheap and flimsy or way beyond our budget. This is a high quality set at a very reasonable price compared to similar sets we have seen at stores like Macy's for example. The covers are also durable and have a nice heavy feel.I have dropped a couple of the covers quite hard on the floor and so far no breaks yet. I have read on how some brands are too heavy for some with arthritis. This, I believe, is a happy medium. Not as heavy as some, but super high quality. I would expect this set to last us at leas 20 years.

There was a learning curve going from t fal non stick pans to these , if this is your first set of stainless steel pans I highly recommend doing some research and learning how to cook in them , with that being said after a couple burnt chicken breasts and a small amount of frustration this is by far the best pan set I’ve ever owned and my food cooks more evenly along with tasting better ! I’d suggest getting some bar keepers secret cleaner to clean them with so they stay nice and shiney! Was a great buy !!!

I recommend this set of pots and pans to any chef for home use. If you maintain these pots and pans they will last for at least your short life. No warping under high oven heat. Easy to clean even if you use the sauce pan to braise with. Impeccable heat distribution allowing for superior searing. I use these guys on a glass top and they distribute the well enough to seat four chick breasts, 10 scallops, two strips,etc.... I’d use them in my restaurant but let’s get real what am I eleven Madison park lol

I've used every pan several times since I got them and I use at least one daily. I read the reviews and decided some were either too picky or don't know how to care for SS cookware. I've never used SS before, but you'll have no problems if you follow the rules and tips. I use Bar Keeper's liquid once a week on any given pan for the residue/tarnish. They shine right up and look new again in one minute, see the pics. I love the strainer lids for the obvious reason, but it acts as a steam vent to. The edge of each pan has a curved lip, which I didn't think much of until I realized it prevents the spillage of the food down the side of the pan when pouring!

Love the pans. Alittle hard getting used to them from having nonstick pan . But heat and hold it well. The heat plate on the bottom is great. Cook in low or med ,never higher. Clean great and stay looking good.

I’ve been using Calphalon pots and pans for at least 15yrs since my mom has had the same set forever. I finally invested in my own and still love them. My husband, who had never used stainless, tried the first frying pan and burned just the butter he was preheating on medium heat (first picture) If you own a glass stove top I suggest using your lowest setting to preheat instead of the recommended medium, with butter or oil on a paper towel wipe around the pan once heated and slowly raise the temp until you find the pans sweet spot. You’ll get a beautiful even cook :) (picture 2) hand wash/ follow care instructions and I’m sure yours will last just as long as my mamas

My husband and I use these every day. Almost a year after buying them he still comments about how much he loves these pans - definitely worth it. They clean up so easy it's unbelievable.
