good value for money
I purchased this charger for $12.99 in october 2014. I already have a couple of other similar chargers that I use in various rooms of my house. I like having multiple chargers for the convenience they offer since I can charge my tablets or phones without carrying the charger from one room to another. This one is the latest addition to my wall charger fleet. Compared to the other chargers I have including AnkerĀ® 40W 5-Port High Speed Desktop USB Charger with PowerIQ(tm) Technology for iPhone, iPad Air 2, Samsung Galaxy, Nexus, HTC, Nokia and More (Black) and POWERGEN Dual USB Wall Charger, 12-Watt, WhiteThis ranks average in terms of the maximum power it can provide. (Anker gives 40W and powergen gives 10W while this is 20W). Anker is my main charger and is also an expensive one but a lot more powerful too. That is good if you have more than 2 mobile devices that you need to charge at the same time. However that charger comes with a long power cord which makes it bulkier compared to this one. I like the fact that this is cord free (directly plugged in) and also has a power light so that I know whether it is up and running or not (Anker's high end device lacks both). Normally, a tablet requires 2.1A for fast charging (depends on the model but that is the most common I guess) So, if you have two tablets, using ports 3 and 4 you can get around 2A per tablet which is pretty OK. However if you add a mobile phone or a third tablet, then all will be undercharging since the max you can get is 4A from this device. But don't forget that the charging cable you use is another factor that determines the power you would be able to transfer from the charger to your device and most of the cables in the market come with the speed limitation. Another problem with this device is that you have to remember the capacities of each port or may be put a sticker on them. Each port has different capacities ranging from 1 to 2.1 A and if you don't remember the most powerful port you may still be undercharging your tablet even if there is no other tablet connected. Those capacities should have been written on the device. After all, despite some weaknesses like not being very powerful and design flaws like not having an indication of the better ports, this is still a stylish and handy device especially for the price tag and I am happy for the purchase...

Great travel charger.
A small charger with 4 usb ports that are "smart" to charge your devices all at the same time, Not sure how smart they are, but they works flawlessly. The plug doesn't have a large prong on one side so you probably can use it in any country around the world. For its tiny size and convenient design it is great for traveling

I have one of these my my seat on the couch and one by my bedside table - I can plug in all of my devices at once and still have a traditional plug for non USB devices like a lamp
Have found with all of the various devices that we have in the house that we never have enough USB plugs. This has solved the problem. We no longer have to fight over plugs and USB cords. I have one of these my my seat on the couch and one by my bedside table - I can plug in all of my devices at once and still have a traditional plug for non USB devices like a lamp. Does a great job of charging multiple objects at once.

Best Travel Hack for Electronics
Bought two of these for my husband and myself to use at home and when we travel. In conjunction with a small Belkin (3-plug) power bar/surge protector and an adapter when traveling overseas, we have more than enough outlets to charge all of our devices. My only beef is that by the time we stack this on the power bar and the adapter, we need to fashion some kind of support to keep the wall plug from falling out. If we weren't using the power bar this USB wall charger is light enough that it wouldn't cause those issues. We now can travel with this and our USB cords alone now and save ourselves the grief of trying to find two or more outlets in a hotel room. We also use them when we are at home, although I am considering a desktop version with a longer power cord as some the device USB cords are short and the devices don't reach a firm surface when being powered up.

Great for many types of electronics!
This charger is a great way to get multiple ports out of one plug. I tested it on lots of my smaller electronic devices as well as my Google Pixel XL and Samsung Galaxy S8 and it charged them just fine. It does not have quick charge tech in it (from Qualcomm) but it charges non-quickcharge devices fairly quickly. I like the indicator light so I know what it is doing, I read some of the reviews that people didn't like that, I prefer it. I will probably use this to charge my myriad of electronics (not including phones) and leave the phones to the quick chargers I have. Overall a great product though!

Just the prongs.update.
Original review was 3 stars with this review:It does work well, but of the prongs were facing the other way (90 degrees from whet they are) it wouldn't cover 3 empty outlets in the outlt strip. The full width of this is 2 7/8. There is 1 1/16" on one side of the prong and 1 9/16" on the other side. Maybe that will help give you an idea. Update: Totally my bad. Sometimes outlet strips have the prongs perpendicular to the strip, sometimes they don't. My strip was such that it did cover many outlets while plugged into it. Just something to keep in mind. The company was nice enough to reach out to me to help with the issue in an email, but it really was an issue which had nothing to do with the quality of the charger itself. I bought 2, and i use them both. Thanks.

Gets warm; avoid plugging in 4 things at once; good for travel
Charged an iPad well; unit got warm to the touch. Probably shouldn't charge more than one iPad at a time to avoid fire. Also, don't use it overnight. But other than that, it will work great for my trip coming up, where the hotel has few plug ins. I need it to charge 3 cell phones or 1 iPad at a time, thou not necessarily both. But having 4 slots is still very helpful. I can just leave the iPad and cell phones cords in, instead of plugging things in and out of the power source all the time. Convenient. This unit is much better priced than other models, is light weight, and has receding prongs, so easy to pack for travel. I am overall very pleased. Update: noticed that when the iPad is charged full, the unit is no longer warm. So it must have stopped charging -- it is smart!

Excellent USB charger
I took a chance on this product and I'm glad I did. It's the perfect size for continual home use or travel and easily keeps all our miscellaneous items charged (Kindle, AirPods, FitBit, etc.). Some similar devices I've tried are cheaply manufactured, but not this one. It seems very durable and so far functions perfectly, having more than sufficient power to power all the connected devices without any overheating.

Dichotomy of review opinions
This multi-port charging device sounded like a pleasant dream when I read the product's description. It proved to be just as good as advertised. Over the past two weeks on a trip to Boston, I was able to charge two tablets and two iPhones simultaneously every night, each receiving the correct amount of charging current to quickly renew the device without heating the batteries. While my experience with this charging unit has been good so far, there are a number of reviews predating mine with claims of faulty units, too many to discount. There are also a number of raving reviews. I can only surmise based on this dichotomy that the manufacturer is having quality control problems. The quality control problem is further exacerbated by poor customer service mentioned in the negative reviews. Hopefully, the manufacturer takes note of the complaints and does something about it. I'm sure sales are being lost as a result of the negative reviews.

Works well after every day use 6 month after purchase
I was running out of outlets to charge the 3 ipads, 2 iPhones and other various devices to I puchased this charger. Unlike a variety of charging cables and chargers I've purchased that stopped working shortly after purchase, this one is still going strong after everyday use and charging multiple devices at a time. I've never timed it so not sure what the individual charging time should be, but the fact that it's still working is what's important. We leave it in the kitchen so the light does not play a role for us. The only disadvantage is maybe the long / narrow design. It still takes a bit of space but this is really a very small price to pay compared to the benefit. I hope I'm not jinxing myself and it won't stop working tomorrow, lol.
