The top throws nice light all over the room
Unpacked and put together in less than 10min. Added Amazon LED bulbs 75w equivalent in the top, and 45w equiv in the bottom. The top throws nice light all over the room, and the snakey adjustable bottom is perfect for spot work/reading, or just adding extra light to the room. For the price, it was exactly what I needed without breaking into the absurd cost zone. The only downside is that I wish it had an in-line floor button as a secondary on/off switch, so I can just step on it to turn on.

Read this if you're worried about assembly/wires not fitting...
I never write reviews, but I'm making an exception. I almost didn't buy this lamp because of all the reviews saying the wires didn't fit, and/or the tubes wouldn't screw together. I figured for the price I'd give it a shot and would just return it if I had similar problems. I had the lamp assembled in 2 minutes...no issues. However, I see where people may have gotten tripped up. When you screw the rods together you have to pull the excess wire through the base so there is no slack. This isn't mentioned in the instructions but seemed pretty straightforward to me. I understand that assembly might not be everyone's strong suit, but that isn't the products fault. As far as the lamp goes, it's exactly what I expected, a good cheap lamp. I know a review like this would have been helpful to me in making a decision, so I figured maybe it'd be helpful to you.

Great for appartment living rooms without lights
Works great. A lot people were worried about the plastic shades but they barely get warm. Some also said that the base was unstable but I don't see how, I have it on carpet and even if I bump into it lightly it will wobble back into place.

Loved the lamp
Loved the lamp. It was just what I needed in a dark area. Service from manufacturer was wonderful. Had problems with two items on the lamp. Within three days the parts were replaced. Lamp is just what I wanted to illuminate a dark area in my living room. There was a problem with two parts of the lamp. After notifying the company, the parts were replaced within three days. Fantastic service.

The Good, the Bad, and the Honest.
I'm giving this lamp 5 stars, not because it doesn't have potentially negative points, but because for the price it's perfect. The lamp itself works great. The lower light is adjustable and bendy, and uses a 60 watt bulb. The higher lamp does not move and uses a 150 watt bulb. Together it adds an immense amount of light to the room, and the lamp allows you to only use one lamp or the other if you need less light. The lamp shades are plastic, which for our home is perfect because we have kids. Is it unstable? Yes and no. The base is sturdy, but like most lamps with this design, it is top heavy. It can be tipped over if bumped, so the best idea is to put it in an area that is low traffic and free from easy bumps. But again... plastic lamp shades. Definitely a plus. Assembly was very easy and took approximately 5-8 minutes. The look is sheek/modern. You can dress it up like someone else did in the photos, or you can leave it as is. It's not ugly. It's functional and attractive in almost any decor setting. Overall, you can't beat the price. The lamp works great.

Perfect light for my sewing room!
I needed a lamp for my sewing room and this definitely fit the bill! The uplight provides very adequate lighting via a 3 way bulb, allowing you to adjust the light brightness to your preference. The reading lamp was a bonus as I can aim it towards my sewing machine when additional light is needed or just turn it off as both lights work independently.

No frills lights. Zero complaints.
These are really good for their price. They aren't 'fancy' by any definition, and they're not super sturdy. But for this price I would call the quality excellent. Packaging was minimal, but sufficient for protection. They assembled quickly and with no tools. The mother light takes a 3-way bulb (100W max). The daughter light takes a standard bulb (60W max). I used LEDs in mine, so they are nowhere near the maximum wattage. 11 watts in the daughter light provides as much light as a standard 60. And for the mother light I went with a 8/16/24, which is the equivalent of a 50/100/150. Each light has its own switch and they must be operated independently. However, it is possible to leave them both in the 'on' position and then control the whole thing from the outlet. Perfect for timers or remote controls or just switched outlets. They definitely provide more light than a standard torchiere.

Very sturdy base.
This lamp is very attractive, has a very sturdy base and really lights up a room. Info not in description: 6ft cord, ungrounded cord, takes a 3-way (50-100-150) bulb. It did not state and I did not want to assume so after much looking I found a plain 150w bulb. I know for next time.

Good lighting option.
I got a Phillips 3 way LED bulb for this lamp. It adds a tremendous amount of light to a dark area in my kitchen. That's what I was after. It was easy to put together. The wires run through the lamp sections. You start at the bottom and start screwing them together. The gooseneck lamp part is pre-attached. I don't think you can make a mistake (or I would have). I am old enough to remember the hefty floor lamps of yester year. This is not one. The base is weighted of course but the rest has been downsized to a ridiculous degree. I'd say the upright pipe is half inch, maybe 5/8". I tipped it to screw in the bulb and it was noticeably bent. It straightened out right away when I stood it up. I'm sure its strong enough for what I need but kids and dogs could cause a problem. I got it for a bargain price and it is a bargain lamp. It makes my house much better though and for that I am happy.

Simple and Perfect
Simple and perfect! Simple clean lines with all metal pole and weighted stable base. The goose neck adjustable reading lamp is great. Perfect additional lighting for our place. Love the 3 way bulb feature.
