My husband loves to BBQ and a friend of ours recently told us that they were looking for pink Himalayan rock salt to use while grilling. Specifically, they wanted to pack their tri tip in it before throwing it on the grill. This got my hubbys interest immediately, as he loves to experiment on the grill. We My started looking around for Himalayan rock salt and found it at a large discount store, but in a very small quantity. When we found this my husband was in heaven! We've packed the tri-tip and used it as a coating with olive oil on the outside of our bakers. I have to tell you, this stuff is addicting!! Up next will be to pack a prime rib in it. Once cooked, it just flakes off, but the seasoning it gives the meat is delicious! It also helps keep the meat really moist! This bag is definitely gives you the bang for your buck. We are excited to be able to have found it at a more reasonable cost, because I don't know that we will grill beef without it again, definitely the new staple in our house! Can't wait to look up other uses for it or other meals to prep with it. Try it, you won't regret it!!

I use this in my salt grinder to get it even more fine. I didn't want to order a big back of fine salt because of fear it would cake plus with the grinder you get a more controlled amount of salt out. I tasted this side by side to another salt I was getting from local co-op and this was way better flavor. I have trouble with regular table salt and heart rate. I found that this salt has the mineral I need and salt was not the issue it was the processed table salt lacking minerals and the anti caking agent.

Love this stuff. We only use whole salts in our household. I usually buy this one on amazon, but last time I bought 5lbs of another brand at costco (I was there anyway). After using that and then coming back to this, there's just no comparison. I rate by the pinch test - take a very small pinch and sprinkle it in your mouth. This one is so damn good. Best I know of.

My mom takes a bath every single night. And she falls asleep in the tub every night as well. She has a whole load of wrinkled up books that have taken the inevitable plunge. She's a fan of bubbles and Epsom Salts, like many avid bathers. I realized how beneficial pink Himalayan salts are to our health, and decided to get this. After this big bag arrived, I poured out a big jar of the Himalayan Salt for my mom and asked her to try it, and report back to me.... Knowing its true benefits will help me for when I use it in diy blends. She fell asleep. No, I wasn't surprised. But yes, she loved it. She suffers from ostheoarthritis and other aches and pains in her hip/thigh area. When she works too hard, she always comes home limping. But after bathing with a cup of the Himalayan salt, she feels super relaxed and her pain is virtually gone by the next morning... you know, until she comes home limping again. Poor thing. Next I'm gonna try this salt on some food. People say it's delicious. I'm also curious if it might dye some diy lip balm a very faint pink. If I used just a bit of it. I'll find out soon enough. Most importantly, I have a nasty sinus staph infection. I'm on week 10 or 11 now, and antibiotics are totally useless and harmful. After 2 rounds, it was pretty obvious. I had to try another solution. The natural way. So I'm going to make a DIY antibacterial nasal inhaler. Here is the recipe: Ingredients: 1 cup of Dead Sea salt (+ Himalayan salt) 5 ml eucalyptus 5 ml lavender essential oil 3 ml tea tree essential oil 20 drops rosemary essential oil 10 drops cajuput essential oil 10 drops marjoram essential oil Directions: Mix essential oils and Dead Sea salt thoroughly in a bowl. Place ½ tsp of the mixture into glass chamber of inhaler or into the plastic chamber of a disposable inhaler. Jiggle the salt gently and add more salt until no more salt can be added. Place the plug firmly into the bottom of the plastic inhaler to hold salt in place or place cap on the glass inhaler and insert the glass chamber into the protective steel base. Cap both inhalers tightly and label the plastic inhaler “for sinus congestion”. I have faith that with this inhaler, and the Kiva Manuka Honey 20+ I just purchased, I have a good chance at slowing down the staph infection. Manuka oil and honey are incredible for your health in many ways. People report all sorts of chronic conditions fading away, and flus going as soon as they come. IF you take/eat the honey right at the onset of symptoms and take it every day. For more serious issues like my infection, I will use UMF 20+... (Watch out, there are companies that will try to fool you with other numbers with less health benefit.) For everyday immune upkeep, people often prefer UMF 10+ or UMF 15+. Look it up on your own to learn more. I just ordered my first bottle, and Kiva looks reputable. And incredible. Himalayan salt lamps are big now. They supposedly help clean and purify the air and your body, so many people keep the salt lamps around in different rooms of their house. There are even small ones that just plug directly into the outlet like a night light. They are affordable. The manuka honey? That stuff is expensive! But I have no doubt that it's worth every penny. I've spent 20 years fooling with western modern medicine and doctors. I've only gotten to the point of allover chronic pain, fatigue and chronic illness now. And I'm only 30. I've spent 2 years in bed. So I'm doing whatever I can to try to naturally heal my ravaged body. I've wasted tens of thousands at least on useless medical bills. Utterly useless. I'm taking control of my own health now. I've tried it their way long enough. And now I have to reverse the damage they've done on my own. .....and Sherpa Pink Himalayan Gourmet Salt is currently on the top of my arsenal, along with essential oils and other supplements. Here I go.. Good luck to all of you! UPDATE: I did not use the exact recipe I found above for my nasal inhalers. I call them Sinus Sniffers and I could never have imagined how awesome they would be. I used both Dead Sea Salt and Pink Himalayan Salt, and over 15 different essential oils. After I mixed it all together, I packed them into plastic nasal inhalers from Amazon. They turned out better than I could've possibly imagined. These Sinus Sniffers have cured 3 different people's chronic congestion with everyday use. I post my natural creations and remedies on my fb and instagram sites, emi K. Wellness. I love helping people and supporting them through life struggles, so this has been awesome for me. I used the same recipe as the Sinus Sniffer, plus Vitamin E and aloe vera, plus lavender flowers and a few rose buds and petals. These Immunity Bath Salts came out incredible as well. They literally erase your muscle and joint pain after a half hour soak. I gained a pound from my bath with them which is a great thing! That means I soaked up all the healthy minerals, and I felt like I was floating afterwards. Also, I ended up trying the Manuka Honey UMF 20+ (UMF=unique manuka factor, all the parts of the honey that give it its effective characteristics) from Kiva. It was delicious and it seemed to be helping my sinus staph infection and my health overall. Because of the price, I bought a second bottle, but UMF 15+ this time. The honey tasted more mellow and I prefer it over the more potent one. After the end of this second bottle, my 5 month long sinus staph infection finally drifted away. I'm shocked that i accomplished exactly what i set out to do. The thing that killed my grandfather did not kill me. Instead, I killed IT myself, finally out of the useless clutches of my Western doctors. They won't mention anything as natural as honey and sea salt. But if you're smart, you will try them and see for yourself how beneficial these natural products are.

I have a skin condition and I found an article which stated that bathing in a good quality salt water with minerals would be helpful. Himalayan Salt was mentioned and I was happily surprised to find it on Amazon! Well, I have put 1/2 cup in my bath now 3 tiimes and the condition is greatly relieved. I don't know if everyone would have the same result, but certainly I am abundantly happy that I gave this a chance to heal my skin. I just ordered another 5 pounds because it has a $3 discount and since I also like it very much in the kitchen I will now have a bag for both bathroom and kitchen!

This salt tastes great and has a perfect texture. I've been using it daily since it arrived and love the taste along with the benefits of all the trace minerals. I have no idea if we are actually eating enough of it to make a difference in that area, but it just feels better to know that the salt we are using is healthier than regular table salt. This is also priced VERY well. The same type of salt at the grocery store is $4-$5 for a small bottle, making this a fantastic value.

Not your ho-hum, every day salt! My mother never cooked with salt due to Dad"s medical conditions, so I never liked salt ....until I tried this brand. It makes EVERYTHING TASTE FANTASTIC! Even my 12 year old grandson, Mr. Picky, loved it and went home raving about it. He loved it so much, he talked his mother into buying it! Same reaction. The whole family loved it! I wish I could tell you what makes it so special. None of us can figure it out, but it makes everything you put it on taste better. This should be a real boon to you if you have to eat food cooked by somebody who can't cook. Try it. You will love it. Totally YUM!

Perfect for my homemade soups! A little goes a long way. If you'd like to make a mineralized water for health benefits, place one (1) teaspoon of this pink Himalayan salt into one (1) gallon of distilled water. Shake, let the crystals dissolve, and have a cup. Better then the Gatorades and PowerAde drinks out there which contain sugar (various sugars). Now yes, I have a few PowerAde drinks on hand, but if I've been outside for sometime in the heat and need to replenish my system with good fluids quicker, I swig on the mineralized water I made. Next to the Pedialyte drinks, this is best. You'll notice a similarity in the salt flavor that's in the Pedialyte drinks minus the fruit flavor. Hope this info helps!

Personally, I don't pay a ton of attention to salt intake....I am not hyper "low sodium" as is sometimes popular in the media. Don't get my wrong, I eat an extremely healthy diet, but it is the salt we get in *processed* foods (and the over-processed cheap "white" salt) that is bad for you. However, if you use a decent salt with trace minerals (in moderation), I think it is helpful. Our bodies do need salt. I have actually struggled with low blood pressure much of my life, so I have never had a doctor to tell me to limit salt - in fact, some have suggested I make sure to get *enough* sodium. I use Pink Himalayan salt - it actually tastes so much better, and it is much better for you than table salt - my kids love it too. This is the brand I use and the best price I have found. Commercial refined (table) salt is inferior because not only is it stripped of almost all its minerals, but is also chemically cleaned, bleached and heated at unnecessary high temperatures. It is treated with anti-caking agents which prevent salt from mixing with water in the salt container. These agents also prevent dissolving within our system leading to build up and then deposit in organs and tissue, causing health problems. Finally, the iodine that is added into salt is usually synthetic which is difficult for your body to process properly Pink Himalayan salt packs a hearty 80+ minerals and elements- Himalayan salts are mineral packed crystals which formed naturally within the earth made up of 85.62% sodium chloride and 14.38% other trace minerals such as: sulphate, magnesium, calcium, potassium, bicarbonate, bromide, borate, and strontium. And, natural salts are rich in iodine, so it doesn’t need to be artificially added in.

This salt has changed mine and my family's life!! I researched a lot about himalayan pink salt, and what I discovered was nothing short of amazing! Thus salt will heal adrenal glands, when taken in water. A glass of water, and about tsp of himalayan pink. A flush... 2tsp to a glass of water! It will totally clear you out! It changes the flavor in your food! Definitely made a gourmet cook out of me! I love this salt, and cannot live without it! It is high quality stuff!! Highly recommend!!! Thank you, San Francisco Salt company! You guys are family to me!!!!
