As others have said taste and texture is excellent. Called Applegate help line and they could not have been more helpful regarding questions on additives, No carageenans! Moving rapidly toward vegan regarding inhumane treatment oas well as health issues. This is tremendously hampered by veggie products which are still processed foods containing MSG, food additives, fat etc. High in protein minimal fat, excellent for weight loss. Eat couple pieces on slice of sourdough, veggies and mustard or straight from the package for a fabulous way to lose or maintain weight, especially at work with immediate protein energy boost. Eliminates sugar cravings, at lest for me.
