I'm giving it five stars because it fills me with joy every time I use it. I love sea creatures and I'm happy to add an adorable manta ray to my arsenal. It's made of sturdy, thick plastic/rubber and is bigger than you would expect. It does have a minor design flaw, which is that I have to hold it down for a few seconds, allowing the water to cover it almost completely, before it suctions down. This is a pain due to my mobility issues. Overall, though, I am very pleased.

I decided to take a chance on this product because I needed something to cover the drain and keep my rambunctious 8 month old from slamming his toes into the drain and cutting himself. I read the reviews that said it didn't stay down on the drain but I have found that this works wonderfully. I don't stopper the drain so that the drain cover gets a good suction to the tub. No leaks. My son thinks this new "toy" is the coolest and plays with it throughout his entire bath and hasn't once pulled it up or caused any drainage from the tub. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This works great! If you have a slow leak then you need to use this AFTERNOON the tub is filled and push it down slightly so it auctions with the air pocket. Our tub is old and makes an annoying gurgle noise from a very slow leak when plugged. This totally eliminated that! I would 100% buy this again.

Our tub is older, and the stopper leaks. When my son takes a bath, I normally have to add more water before he’s done. We’re waiting to remodel the bathroom, so I went looking for a temporary solution. I was hesitant that this would work when I ordered. Based on reviews, I chose the blue stingray. It arrived today, and we immediately gave it a try. It worked perfectly. I held it in place until there was a little water in the tub. It didn’t move, and we didn’t loose any water from the tub other than what my son splashed out. The only downside is that it is really easy to remove. So if you have a younger child who would want to play with it, you may have an issue keeping it in place.

I love this product!! To those of you that claim it won't stick and is useless, you're not using it correctly. THIS IS THE KEY: The starfish will only stick well when you DON'T close the drain. You MUST LEAVE THE DRAIN OPEN. An open drain will cause suction and this is what keeps the starfish in place. Also you should wait for the bath water to fill just a bit so the weight of the water holds it down. This is exactly what I was looking for; I need a drain cover that is raised in the center since I have a tub that has one of those pop-up/twist to open and close type drains. I even performed a leak test in which I left the water in the tub over night to see if it would leak and It didn't budge. I'm so happy with this purchase! Its super cute too and makes me smile.

I love to take a bath when the weather gets cold - so relaxing - that is until I start to hear the trickle of water leaking through the drain. I bought this star shaped drain cover to see if that would fix the leak. I had trouble initially getting a good seal. Some reviewers suggested having it in place while tub filled. I tried that and the force of the water made it move, BUT here's the solution that worked for me: engage your tub's drain stopper and fill tub as you normally would. Then place this cover over drain hole and release your tub's drain stopper. The suction from water trying to drain will pull cover tight for a perfect seal. you can then re-engage tub drain stopper if you want. This method, naturally wouldnt work for a tub with a rubber stopper, but for tubs with the lever type stopper below the spout it worked perfectly. I get a nice deep bath with no water loss when paired the Bottomless bath overflow drain cover: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00314WHW6/ref=sxts_bia_sr_1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=3182441022&pd_rd_wg=oy5gO&pf_rd_r=414BSVB59BTCDE0YF7PH&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-top-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B00314WHW6&pd_rd_w=Z2rMd&pf_rd_i=bottomless+bath+overflow+drain+cover+-+recyclable&pd_rd_r=44459ASHSRZPZYZAHSN0&ie=UTF8&qid=1505220587&sr=1

I agonized over this purchase. I have tried several sizes and shapes of drain covers without success. Would the BOON work to keep the water in my long baths without water loss? Was it another cover that allowed slow leaks? It sounds like a small problem, but my baths are very important to me. I didn't need to waste any time on negativity. This product covered my apartment bath drain like a pro! The shape was perfect, with the smaller lip up front. My previous problem was that regular drain covers were too wide to tightly cover the smallish drain that was pushed up close to the side. This does the trick with no problems whatsoever. I just cover the drain with the Boon, flip the drain to open, and start running my bath water. The water and the drain cause a tight seal. VOILA!!!

Some of the reviewers stated that it doesn't form suction. It does, as long as you place it over the drain BEFORE you start running water in the tub. It also stores well (with suction) on smooth shower tiles. We have a TubShroom, which requires you to remove the original shower drain, so I needed a way to fill the tub with the TubShroom in when we give the dog a bath. The dome shape of this cover is perfect for sitting atop the TubShroom.

My tub leaks badly (water drains out of it, because the stopper no longer seals properly), but it's the kind of drain that's attached from underneath the tub and sticks up. This fits over the drain perfectly, and NO WATER LEAKS OUT! Some reviews say it won't stay over the drain. That's true, unless you first run at least a little water to get the floor of the tub wet before putting this over the drain. It'll create just enough suction to stay in place. If your faucet's water comes out forcefully, you might need to wait until there's enough water to cover the blue stingray, then the weight of the water above it will keep it down, in place. I love it, because now I can linger in the bathtub as long as I want without the water level going down.

Works perfect! Our bathtub has a push down plug that pops open easily when the kids accidentally nudge it so their bath was constantlyngetting drained. It also never fully plugged and the water would slowly leak taking it forever to fill and keep full. This was the easiest fix. It seals seamlessly over the drain. You just place it on and it holds in place, no pushing or suction cup needed. The material just grabs well and it doesn't move. The kids can't accidentally pop the drain open anymore. I filled a full bath the other night and realized when I went to drain it I never even closed the actual plug. The bath filled and stayed full using only this product and no other plug in play. It's an awesome and inexpensive fix to our problem!
