I use this camcorder primarily to record youth football games from the press box. I was worried at first about the quality of the videos because of my need to use the zoom feature so frequently. I was more than satisfied when I took the camera home after the first game and plugged it into my tv. The picture was clear and I unlike some reviews on here I was not unsatisfied with the sound. The battery that comes with this bundle lasts me a little over 2 hours which is exactly what I needed. More than satisfied with the purchase.

Amazon delivers like there's no tomorrow, it came so fast omg. The camera is great if you want to use it outdoors, out door it's the king. The zoom on this camera is outstanding!!!! This is definitely worth the money guys! And don't forget to buy a tripod because the one that came with it is as big as my hand. And yes it's easy to transfer from camera to PC

Great Basic Camcorder and Accessories

Great camcorder for average user (i.e. my wife). Got it for her as a Christmas gift and she really enjoys using it as compared to our older Sony mini-DVD camcorder. The technology advance is clear and appreciated by her. Easy to use and set up. The kit from Focus Camera has a good balance of gear for us. The additional batteries and the multi-source charger is great as we often need more power when we travel to another grandson's sporting event. The disk and wallet for safekeeping are great. Tripods allow for versatile shooting. For our use, this was a great deal and right choice of support items. Camera arrived two days ahead of scheduled delivery date. Great value all around.

great handy cam for the price.

This camera works great,the only negative i can say about it is the fact that there is no manual focus.You use a depth of field focus setting.3 settings ,up close, mid range and infinity.where ever its set ever thing in that range will be in focus.It works ok but true manual focus would be better.I guess for the price you can't expect to have all the bells and whistles.For the money this is a great product,Sony products are hard to beat.

Very impressed with Sony video camera & equipment

So far I'm very impressed with the camera, batteries, case all cords. Arrived on time, directions and started shooting the next day. Now we are off to Alaska and will use the camera everyday. Size of the camera is great, 9.1 mega pixel, seems to be great for a first video camera, I will let you know when I playback my recordings and when I get home and review everything I recorded on my desktop and start editing w/ i-movie. Very impressed so far.

Worth the price

I use it to shoot the halftime shows of the local high school marching band. Both the audio and video performance are great for such a small camera, with no noticeable lag in the auto focus when zooming and panning. Low light performance is OK- but the bright lights at the stadium probably don't help. Battery life is great, and I've yet to use the two extra batteries included in the kit. Although the description included a 64GB SD card, the kit came with a 64 GB Micro-SD- which is what the camera takes. Overall I'm quite satisfied for the price and would buy it again

i love taking photos and video, and i previously had a sony camcorder. and missed it dearly. i paid $350 for my old sony camcorder well over 10 years ago. it still works. the only reason i got another camera, was my old sony camcorder driver would no longer be recognized on newer laptops, so i was forced to get something else. i got a pocket camera with dslr capabilities. the camera was another brand. i was always pleased with video, photos, and loved the dlsr capabilities for the $130 price i paid rather than $1300 or higher for that type of performance. but with that being said, it was not a sony camcorder. i am glad i purchased this sony bundle. camera alone is well worth the price! everything else i consider free. but we all know how much a battery can be, let alone a sony battery, we all know how much a camera bag can be, we all know how much an extra sd card can be let alone a sony, and we all know how much a mini tri-pod can be, and all of the following were included: extra battery, love the bag, came with sony sd card, mini tripod, everything else is throw in. knew right away out of the bag and started recording, that i really missed my sony! for the price, this takes tremendous video and photos. the timing was great because i was able to test photos and video on the very rare blue moon that appeared 7/30/15. as far as the comments on "focus", i have had no trouble, everything came as stated in description. i am including a photo maybe not the most professional, but this was taken right out of the box on thursday night 7/30/15. if you are still not sure about the purchase, look up this sony on youtube reviews and this made my decision easy. and if you need instructions how to use it, once again, use youtube as a guide.

An awesome and amazing little video camera!

Previously I owned a video camera out of date and terrible for the audio quality, the Zoom Q3HD. I read a few reviews on the Sony HDRCX405, and even watched a few youtube videos on what the camera can do. Amazed at what I saw, I bought it and wished I would have had this camera years ago; its perfect for my needs. I use it to upload videos to youtube, and the video quality is really good, with good audio. This thing is no bigger than a soda can and weights very little. Its amazing for the package you get. I'm not looking for pristine video quality because I would have bought a camera for $700 +. This is ideal for any situation, on a family vacation, or a school field trip, or for youtube footage (which is what I use it for). For more information on what this camera can do, type in the name of the camera on youtube, and see for yourself how powerful the Sony HDRCX405 really is. This is a great purchase for many many many reasons. I use it every day and would recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic buy, well worth the money

It was received way ahead of schedule. Everything advertised was in the package. It was well packed, and no damage. This camera is so light you can barely feel it in your hand. I purchased it to film my Great-Grand daughters softball games, and it worked perfectly. I highly recommend this camera. You will not find it any cheaper elsewhere, with all the included accessories.

The zoom is amazing and it picks up great deatails I love taking pictures of nature and this captures it just look at the beauty of the picture I took with it
