Essential tool for felting projects.

As a beginning felter, I want sure if I really needed, or would use this tool, but decided to take a chance on adding it to my set of tools. I'm so glad I did, because it has made my projects go much quicker, & been very helpful in producing a more consistent felt across the project. It works very well, & I've had no problems with either the tool, or with user errors I've read about, where some have broken needles soon after attempting to use it. My understanding, is that keeping the needles going straight into the wool at a 90°/perpendicular angle, is the key, which I have followed strictly with great results.

Use it A LOT!!!

GREAT for larger areas! I use mine on ALMOST every project that I do! I am a complete beginner to this wonderful craft, but have found this tool VERY useful. The ONLY thing I dislike is the "safety" feature of the plastic surrounding the needles. They need to make two different versions, one with the plastic and one without.

Have already used this for 3 felting projects. Works very well for felting large areas as well as making the project a bit more firm at the finish. It can tend to shape the project, which can be a good or bad thing depending (I think it's because of the plastic that's pushing on the wool as you use the tool). Very content with this tool. With this it's key to be careful and stab the wool straight in, not at an angle. I'm a newbie but haven't broken a single needle because I was careful about this.

I love this little thing. The needles are easy to change out and it fits well in the hand.

Easy to use

I used this on my second felting project. It was so much easier to use and the project felted up nicely in less time. I especially like the protective receding plastic ring around the pins!
