Worth the Investment for Long Term Convenience
I hate the idea of always having to remember to turn off the bathroom fan after a shower. I did my research & the Enerlites are the simplest in design and operation. It is also easy to install if you have some basic electrical knowledge and you have changed receptacles in the past. You just push the big button if you want to run the fan using the last used time setting or push one of the smaller buttons to run the fan at a different time setting - SIMPLE to use! I can now let my fan run after a shower and go to bed or leave the house. The fan will shut off by itself when the set time is up. The LED lights on the switch stay on even if the switch is off. While this is a nuisance to some, I considered it a plus. It helps me to see in the dark bathroom and get rid of my night light. My only installation issue is that the timer is a bit bigger than a standard switch. So you really have to push all the wires hard into the electrical box to make this switch fit. Now that I have tried this switch in one of my bathrooms, I plan to put them in all the bathrooms in my house. It is a small but significant upgrade to your house and every day living. Highly recommended!

Love the HET06-R version of this timer switch
I have had 10 of these timer switches on lights or exhaust fans, throughout my home, for the last three years, with none failing to work. I like the version that illuminates the last selected time's LED, and the LED under the power on/off button, when the light (load) turns off. This makes it easy to locate the buttons on this switch at night, and provides enough illumination to navigate around the room. There are different version of this switch, which look the same on the front. If you want the version that leaves the two LEDs on, as mentioned above, you need to order HET06-R. Some of the reviews here talk about the night light feature, so I assumed that would be the version I would receive when ordering from this seller, but that was not the case. Instead I received the HET06-A-R-W, which does not leave the LEDs on when the light turns off. In other words, it will not also function as a night light. Hopefully, this difference will be pointed out in a revised ad. I returned this version, and reordered from another amazon seller, the HET06-R.

it had good reviews and was priced well
I purchased this switch because I wanted one with only 30 minutes for my powder room, it had good reviews and was priced well. I was a little concerned about the reviews about the blue lights being bright enough for a night light and didn't really want a night light since it is right off our great room but took a chance it might be the version without the blue lights always on. I did receive the one with the blue lights always on but they didn't bother me at all. If you close the door without the room light it does provide a soft blue night light effect but when the tv or other lights are on in the great room you don't notice the blue lights on the powder room. I just hope guests find the correct switch for the lights and don't try to turn the lights on with this switch. I almost returned this switch because I thought I didn't have the white neutral wire since I didn't see it attached to my old switch. After reading reviews for other digital switches I found one that said the white wire is often pushed to the back of the box, which, indeed, is where I found mine! Thought I would mention this in case anyone else ran into this.

Exactly as advertised.
Quick and painless installation. Works exactly as supposed to. LED lights are bright, but it's in the 'toilet alcove' in my master bathroom, so it's actually quite handy in negating the need for turning on a light in the middle of the night. I could see this being a problem if you were installing it in a bedroom, which the seller clearly advises against. On a side note, it's a good idea to plan ahead when installing. If your putting this in a bathroom with a window, I'd recommend to do it during the day so you have the natural light aiding you once you cut the power to that bathroom. Other wise, you might end up asking your six-year old to hold the flashlight while you struggle to not teach him/her new words in the dark with the light swinging around the other walls, mirror, ceiling and floor when you need it right where you're working...or maybe that's just me.

Great once you figure it out!
I use this timer to activate a Panasonic bathroom ventilator. It works well but is a bit counter-intuitive. You activate it by turning OFF the big bottom lighted button. That is, the switch comes on when the little blue light on the big bottom button goes out, and it turns off when the big button is pushed and the blue light comes back on. You can leave it regularly set to one of the smaller time period buttons, and just turn the big bottom button on and off to activate that period. Or you can activate it by switching to a different small-button time setting. You have to play around with it to really understand it. Once you do, it will make sense and you’ll be happy with the options and operations. The photo shows the timer in the off position with the 10-minute time ready to go once the bottom button is pressed and the bottom blue light goes out.

Great at controlling the bathroom vent on-for-hours issue!
I like the ease of use and the fact that it works so far completely reliably and solved my problem of members of my family leaving the bathroom vent on for hours! I give easy to install three stars because it was difficult for a non-electrician (me!) to install and make work properly. I gave the instructions four stars - but then I an NOT an electrician. Not all houses are wired the same and the directions did not work for me - BUT my wall switches typically control two lights, a vent fan and a heater fan - so wiring was a bit complicated for me. I suggest that if you have my issue hire an electrician to install. But once I installed it, it has done exactly what I wanted it to do - the selection of times is great - 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 20 min, 25 min and 30 min. That should cover every scenario you have. It has totally stopped the vent fan running for hours in our house - has to save on the power bill although I have not studied that. Thus far, about a year now, there have been no issues with this timer switch. PapaEv

Excellent Wall timer!
Excellent wall timer, reasonably priced, and excellent customer service as well! I installed these switches in all 3 of my bathrooms. I wanted the option of leaving the fan running after getting out of the shower and exiting the bathroom, without worrying about having to return to the bathroom to turn the exhaust fan off. This greatly helps in reducing mold and mildew in the shower! The switch does have little blue LED's that remain on at all times. I initially didn't think I would like this and thought it may pose a problem. I actually really like the fact that these blue LED's stay on! I even removed the night light out of my master bath, because these blue LED's are enough to illuminate the bathroom in the middle of the night. Yet they're not bright enough where they would keep me awake all night, you actually barely notice they're on. But in the middle of the night, when it's pitch-black they do provide just enough light to use the facilities without having to turn on any bright lights. I absolutely love these wall timers! Would highly recommend these.

Nice product.
Works great! The blue lights serve as a sort of always-on night light, which I like. Others maybe not. Easy installation.

Neat and modern exhaust fan timer switch.
Ordered 4 of these HET06A-R to control bathroom fans. They arrived in great shape and were straight forward in installation. They work perfectly and look quite nice, modern and functional. The blue LED lights are fine. One review had mentioned he thought the unit felt warmer than a regular switch so I used a thermal scan reader and found the unit is a few degrees warmer as compared to a switch with no LEDs. The slight heat is being generated by the LEDs and is normal. If you haven't done a lot of switch replacements in your home you should be aware that this unit has 4 wires you need to connect for it to work properly. In most cases the switch you are replacing will only have had 3 wires: a ground, hot and load (the wire carries the switched power that goes to the fan unit). This switch has a 4th wire that is white and must be connected to a common neutral wire. Newer homes will have a common neutral wire or common neutral wire bundle in the switch box. Just look for it and then connect the white wire from the new timer switch to that, the green to the (copper) ground, the black to the hot incoming line, and the red to the line going to the fan.

a great timer switch
I am notorious for leaving the bathroom fan running and forgetting to go back to shut it off! Recently, while staying in a vacation property, I found the answer to my problem; they had a timer on the fan similar to this one. I ordered it from Amazon and I love it (and so does my wife, now that she doesn't have to go behind me to shut the fan off!) Seriously, this is a great product ... easy to install and works like a charm with settings from one minute to 30 minutes. A great feature is that the switch keeps the last setting in "memory" until you change it. Also the blue lights for power on and the time setting are helpful. Now, as for installation, this switch requires a neutral wire, but keep in mind most home electrical (as far as I know) have the required neutral and usually, they are bundled and pushed in the back of the box. I am getting ready to order another! This might sound "corny" but this company emailed me to make sure I was happy and to let me know, with a phone number, they were there to help if needed, and as usual, I am always pleased to buy from Amazon for quality and service! I trust good reviews and that is why I like to write them. I hope this helps someone else.
