Chicken-Sundried Tomato Pasta Salad

Boil 2 cups of this pasta in salted water for 7-8 minutes until it is al dente. Drain pasta and pour into a large bowl. Add a 1/2 cup of sundried tomatoes packed in oil, 3 oz of goat cheese and 2 cut up grilled chicken breasts. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the sundried tomato oil to moisten the entire salad and toss until combined. Serve warm or cold. Can be made 2 days ahead of time. It is pretty fantastic. This pasta holds up wonderfully in the hardy salad.

Versatile pasta goes with almost any sauce

I discovered the Barilla Three Cheese Tortellini pasta a few years ago at an Italian Deli,and then at my local grocery. Problem: price was way too steep for my tiny income. Then I found it here on Amazon much more reasonably priced, and I can resume my love affair with the best tortellini I've ever had. I'm now buying most of my groceries from Amazon and I'm eating healthier without breaking the bank to do it. I'm buying my produce at our local farmers market and some dairy at our local grocery. Amazon has a lot of variety of whole foods and rare goodies so I don't feel deprived at all.

Great product, lousy vendor

These tender and flavorful tortellini are a staple in our house, served with just freshly ground black pepper, sea salt and good quality grated parmigiano cheese, however the current vendor selling the four pack is dishonest and plays a bait and switch game, advertising the item for one price but not delivering it at that price. I believe they go by the name, "❤100%SATISFIED❤ look for these delicious tortellini elsewhere.

Love this pasta shape

Casarecce is my favorite shape of pasta for Bolognese sauce as the thickness of the noodle holds up to the richness of the sauce very well. It requires close attention when cooking because I find that the line between al dente and over cooked can be crossed very quickly. When cooked well, they are terrific!!

a weakness these are so delish

I am a sucker for these little Tortellini, and of course, I serve them with Bertoli alfredo sauce, broccoli and a salad--I am not a doctor, but I am going to suggest this is not super heart healthy lol. But, it IS super delish as a treat from time to time. The cheese filling is very tasty, not overpowering at all. Blends well with pasta sauces. As long as they stay priced below WM's price, I will order from Amazon.

Versatile. Great for unexpected company.

These tortellini are an absolute MUST HAVE pantry item in our house. You can make them and stretch all kinds of dinner items when unexpected young people (AKA bottomless pits) drop in unexpectedly. You can mix them with Chili, Alfredo, or Spaghetti Sauce. You can pan wilt some spinach leaves in olive oil and sautéed garlic and mix these in. You can make a warm salad with oil and vinegar and roasted pepper and eggplant and tomato and tortellini. You can make a cold salad with fresh tomato, basil, garlic, onion and capers with a vinaigrette dressing. You can use them as a side dish with butter and parsley and garlic. Oh don't get me started.

What a surprise!

I've never been much on items like this until now. WOW! This will be a staple in our pantry from now on. I'm a great cook as long as I've a receipe. Our kids are "refrigerator" cooks....and to all of you out there that can do this, my hat is off to you. Until one day I had to come up with a lunch in the middle of our remodel and I had one of those "burners" to use like those on stoves. I had to go through trunks to find items that I thought would go "okay" with this. Well, lunch was fantastic. I even got a heads up from hubby who normally just grunts. I nade it aain the following week and it was even better. Thanks Barilla for a great product and for saving my "lunch"

Amazon Pantry Rocks!

This was my first time trying Amazon Pantry. I am impressed! The convenience of having staples dropped securely at my door is something I could get used to! What was in my box? Barilla Tortellini and a huge 64 ounce bottle of Prego Traditional marinara sauce. Also included were canned soups and my favorite snacking chips. The Barilla Tortellini was so easy to make. I cooked it according to the package instructions and served it smothered in Prego. The combo made for a satisfying lunch. The texture of the tortellini was just right and the cheese was delicious. I thought the Prego complemented the cheese in the tortellini. Next time I will this boiled in broth or topped with butter-- both are serving suggestions from the Barilla package. I can't wait to fill my next box! I will make sure to purchase more Barilla Tortellini.

Barilla is Best!

It is strange-- what Amazon seems to have done is combine reviews for different varieties of products from the same brand. This creates confusion when reading the comments about the product. In this case, I purchased Orecchiette (small flying saucer shaped pastas) and that is what I received. But the link to my purchase now shows a photo & reviews for Casarecce (longer, twisted tube like noodles). Both are Barilla brand boxed pastas, but they are very different in how they cook and how they should be used. That said, my review is for the Orecchiette because that is what I purchased. I prefer buying my pastas in a box rather than bags simply because they store better in the pantry when boxed. I love Barilla pastas and will always select them when available in the shape or style of noodle I am looking for, Also, for the most part, they have kept the packaging to a full pound and I appreciate that. So many older recipes call for a pound of uncooked pasta, but few companies package them as such these days.

My favorite tortellini!

I have been buying these for years, they are very good and nice to have handy in the pantry for a quick meal. These 3 cheese tortellini taste great, another flavor that is really good is their cheese & spinach. I was able to get a really good price here when using the attached coupon and adding it to my order. The pasta looks so tiny when you first remove from the package but puff up nicely when done. Tastes wonderful with just about any flavor sauce you add. I've added chicken, tomatoes, Italian spices, a bit of cheese melted on top and served up with some garlic bread and a salad and it was so good! Most of the time I only use a bit and put the rest in a baggy then put back into the bag for another time. These have a very nice flavor and cook very quickly. Great if you don't have much time to get something on the table or even if you just want to use up some leftovers.
