Make your baked goods prettier

I received the cake decorating kit in the nick of time as I had the job of bringing a cake to a surprise birthday event over the weekend. I love to bake and while my cakes (cookies, brownies) taste good, they have never been the prettiest dish on a table. I wanted to change all of that so I invested a small amount of $$ (well worth it at a few bucks) to try my hand at making my cake both taste good AND look good. I have always loved how beautiful fondant cakes look and while I won't be hired as a cake decorator at any bakery any time soon, my first attempt turned out well and I know I will only get better with time. Something fun to try to spruce up your homebaked goods. I would recommend you look up some YouTube videos on decorations as that was very helpful and gave me a sense of what extra frostings and accessories I needed.

Great ergonomics

A friend of the family decorates birthday cakes, and she recently made one for my son’s birthday. I was intrigued by the artistry of the cake and asked if she would give me a few pointers. The first thing she suggested was to purchase some tools I could use for working with the fondant. Not knowing if I’d even like decorating, I didn’t want to invest too much, so I purchased this set. I think the thing I like most about the 3 tools is the way they feel in my hand when I’m using them - very good ergonomics. They are very comfortable, and the material is lightweight (but strong). They seem like they’ll hold up for a long time. Although I wasn’t very adept at using them, the tools did exactly as they were intended. I just wish they would have come in colors other than pink and purple. Overall, an excellent purchase... especially considering the price.

Neat Little Tool Set!

In my free time I like to browse Amazon for anything cool that I may want or need. With that said, I am so happy that I stumbled upon this neat little tool set during my browsing session! It's super cute and tiny enough to put in your pocket or purse (I took them to a friend's house for a baking lesson!). I love that each piece is a different color; it makes it easy to find them in my drawer full of random utensils. But I think the best part is how practical and useful each tool piece is, especially for those that love to bake and create artsy crafts. I will admit I am not the best when it comes to cake decorating, but using this tool set sure makes it a lot more fun! You can use each piece for a variety of reasons, I use them to decorate my cakes and my 10 year old sister uses them for random school projects. This is definitely one of those random things you need to have lying around your house. You just never know when you might need them!

Wow! So many great uses for this product!

Sure, you COULD use these tools to ruffle, stitch and cut fondant, as the other reviewers have told you. But what they have failed to mention is the many other great uses of these three ergonomic tools. The ball tool makes a great pocket-sized massager, allowing you to easily reach knots in your neck and upper back. The stitching wheels can stitch not only fondant but also Play-Doh or Silly Putty. The needle tool is a handy reusable toothpick, so (just like reusable straws), it's a great way to reduce waste. And the knife end is the perfect size for slicing small amounts of soft cheese. Finally, both the ball tool and the stitch wheel make great toys for kids who like to play dentist (children should probably steer clear of the needle and knife tool). All in all, this is a surprisingly multifaceted trio of tools.

I have been asked by National PR Team to write a review on this product which was selected and mailed to me for testing. I am not creative or artistic, unfortunately. Therefore, I chose a friend who is very much into arts, crafts, and decor creation to test this product. She was beyond thrilled with this product. In her own words: "The tools are small and cute!" "This is so easy to use, even you can use it!" and "Look, it's like having 6 in 3!" She showed me that there was an informational pamphlet of which tools to use for which cuts and designs. So, maybe I, too, will take up some crafting of my own! Definitely a great product that makes those with a creative mind happy.

Great buy for beginners!

So I bought this set because I decided, after many viewings of various baking shows, I was interested in taking up cake decorating as a new hobby. I didn't want to buy anything too expensive because I wasn't sure how much I would actually get into it, so I bought this product and was pretty amazed. The various double-edged tools were easier to use than I expected, were very sturdy, and were really easy to clean. Best of all, I actually created a few designs that were pretty similar to ones I'd seen on the shows, and I had no idea what I was doing! I just kind of experimented with the various shapes of the tools and had fun with it. This set was everything I needed to get started with my new hobby and I don't think I'll need to buy any other tools for a while since I'm still "perfecting my craft" with these!

Its worth it.

I used this for a fondant on a project and I also used it for a clay project with my kiddos. Knife was really sharp and easy to use so be careful and enjoy.

Great for scrapbooking!

I use one of these tools for inking a stitched-looking line in my scrapbooking. I love it! Got the idea off of YouTube, so fun!
