Saving money, works just like the original.

We have an very nice LG fridge at home that we got a couple of years ago. Of course they always say that you need to change the filter every 6 months to ensure maximum air freshness, but we have always been weary to replace it so quickly because it is kind of pricey to replace when we checked it out in stores. One day though, the fridge wasn't smelling as fresh, so I thought that I would research on Amazon to see if I can find it for cheaper and I came across this. I figured it seemed solid, many positive reviews, so I thought why not? This fits perfectly in the fridge and just a fraction of the price for three in comparison to the in store price! It was super easy to replace and it looks exactly like the old one we had! The fridge took it with no issues and didn't reject it when I reset the air filter! It has worked fantastically well for the past couple of weeks, the fridge air smelling quite fresh and clean. Honestly, if you have any doubts whatsoever about this, don't, because it works like a charm! It doesn't come in fancy packaging, but who care? It does the job that it needs to.

Perfect Fit!

I received 3 filters that were well packaged and wrapped individually with plastic wrap. Product was exactly as advertised. However like several other reviewers mentioned, I have no earthly idea how this little filter could filter odors in a refrigerator. I think this is a selling point for manufacturers to have filter a inside a refrigerator. I guess I'm falling for their trap by buying replacement filters, that probably have no effect on the air inside the fridge. On the other hand, these filters are very affordable!

Don't forget to replace these!

Most people don't read the owners manual for your fridge but if you do (Like me!) then it may mention that it has these additional filters to help with freshness apparently... Well, I decided to pick these up for when I do replace these on the fridge! These are easy to replace/install again refer to the owners manual of your fridge. Now, if you're going to say you don't have an owners manual for your fridge, why...? You can go to the manufacture of your fridge's website and get it from there!

Works great and eliminating odors in the fridge as long as you change regularly.

I've used these for a year and they are great!. There is kimchi (which I dislike) stored in the fridge and these filters along with the fridge prevent that smell from spreading to everything else. One time, I figured, ehhh, i don't think these filters actually do anything, I was wrong! 1 month after NOT changing the filter, the kimchi odor was showing itself and affecting the other foods.... I changed it immediately and within 1 day, the odors are gone! Glad to be proven wrong that you need to change these filters when the time comes!

Direct replacement and easy to install

I installed this filter for the first time and was surprised that it took less than 30 seconds to exchange. It actually took me longer to find the filter and figure out how to remove the cover. A simple counter clockwise twist was all it took. Suggest you change yours.

Perect Fit

Perfect replacement for our LG refrigerator. We looked around all over for these replacements and could not find them in a store. All of the filters had to be purchased online. We looked on Amazon and with our prime membership and shipping, it was the best price around. They fit perfectly and do the job they are supposed to. The shipping was fast as always and we would definitely buy these again from Amazon. You just need to plan ahead a little. We always order a few so that we have extras on hand when the time times to replace them. We were not disappointed in the order.

Just what I needed

These LG air filters are exactly what I needed.I could not find any listed for my refrigerator model but these looked just like them. They were a perfect match.Easy to install.Packaged in a sealed plastic wrapper with the model number on the outside.They were shipped in a bubble envelope.

Excellent value ! Look just like the original LG filter. Works like a charm. Can't tell the difference. Take a look at the picture for your self. To the right is the old filter I removed. To the left is the three pack new filter I received from the vendor.

Each filter is individually wrapped!!

I read the reviews and I was not going to purchase because many said that the 3 filters came unwrapped in a Ziploc bag. When I got the filters, they WERE in 1 bubble package. However, EACH FILTER was individually sealed with plastic similar to shrink wrap. So even though all 3 filters came in 1 package, they were NOT exposed to air. And just to be on the safe side, I vacuumed packed each filter in my Food Saver. I am very happy with the purchase. It fit right into my LG French door refrigerator!!

Great Value for an OEM product.

As an appliance salesman at Sears, I can confirm that this is a suitable replacement for the Kenmore filter 9690. It is made by the same manufacturer, and is a fraction of the in store cost. My wife and I can tell a huge difference in the smells and tastes in our fridge with this filter. One piece of advice: replace these based on your own preferences, not the timer on your refrigerator. Your fridge is timed to tell you when to replace it, and the reminder light has no bearing on the actual condition of the filter. So when you start to be able to smell everything in your fridge, time to put in a new one!
