Came very well packaged sounds great

Note: I use Rocksmitth 2014 for both electric guitar and bass. I'm not a musician in anyway. This was my first bass and it is awesome. I took a chance and ordered it sight unseen and the build quality and packaging were excellent. I've had it for six months and it let me get a feel for playing bass after having dabbled in electric guitar off and on for a while. The funny thing is, I started to prefer it to electric guitar. Any instrument you can fall in love with is worth 5 stars. I knew I wanted a short scale because I have small hands (5' 6"). I now have a very short scale bass (28.6") and that one is easier to play (minus the default strings), but the 30" scale Luna is better constructed with better default strings. (It's OK to have both, right? Such a slippery slope... hehe.) That being said, I over-turned the volume knob when Rocksmith 2014 was flaking out and now it is just free floating, but still works. I took the back cover off and it is beyond my ability to fix it. It seems simple enough, but I'll get someone a little more knowledge to do it right. If you're looking for an introductory bass and like the look of this one, go for it. If it's on sale at sub-$200. DO IT NOW.

Beautiful! And so far the sound is great. I love Luna ♡

Great starter bass for the price. I'm a woman so the smaller scale works really well. the design is really good looking. Components are entry level but they work just fine. the sound on the pick up is a bit uneven out of the box, but I haven't had it set up yet. I'm a professional musician, vocalist, guitar player and I'm just learning to play bass so I'm no expert, but I'm really enjoying it. (I also have a Luna concert Uke which I really love)
