I got this for my cable modem as it tends to run a little warm, hot actually, but I got this to alleviate that and poor airflow to the xbox 360 in my kiddos room where said modem also lives. All my issues have been solved on both counts, from having to deal with both devices eventually running sluggish due to heat to perfect conditions 24/7, at the lowest setting the air off the devices is barely warm if at all and on medium it stays cool no matter the season outside or temp inside. I have ran on high just to see how loud they are and I am pleased tp say they are some of the quietest fans I have ever used, you can't tell they are even there over stock TV let alone a sound bar or more, even when muted you would have to focus and listen for them to even have a chance of hearing them running.

I have a large cabinet in my media room that serves as a wiring cabinet for my network equipment, cable TV amplifiers and LED lightig controllers. None of these components generate a whole lot of heat, but I did want to have some air flow to keep things cool in a pinch. I modified this product, and it works great. === The Good Stuff === * The configuration is ideal for using this for unplanned uses. The wires between the fans and controllers are long enough to do quite a bit with, and the use of USB hardware makes things even easier. * The fan/thermostat combintion works well. I was able to set the controller at a relatively high temperature, so the only time the fans kick on is under very high loads on the electrical equipment. When they come on, they don't move a lot of air, but it is enough to move the hot air out of the top stack of my cabinet and keep things cool. * The controller mounts nicely into a wooden panel, and the whole things looks pretty cool when it is setup. The display is always on, and it is obvious from looking at the display what is going on. * The fans are easy to mount in a variety of ways. There are holes at the four corners that go through the fan and grills, and it is easy to drive a screw into them to hold the fan. The rubber grommets make for a nice, shock/vibration proof mount === The Not-So-Good Stuff === * The way the fans are wired, I ended up having to cut and splice the supply wires to get the configuration I wanted. This was not a big deal, but in an ideal world, the wires would have been separate rather than ganged. === Summary === This was a great find, and made a nice addition to my network cabinet. The fans don't move a lot of air, but that wasn't a big issue since I don't have a lot of wattage in my cabinet. The quality of the materials made mounting and doing a little re-engineering quite easy.

Works exactly as claimed: Moves as much air as needed; can be virtually silent, or at higher speed they are still very quiet; the rubber "feet" work very well to stabilize and isolate the fans; and it cools the Roku Premier + which keeps it from locking up. You would not think that tiny Roku produces so much heat, but it does, and it is very bad at dissipating that heat. When it overheats, it locks up and requires a reset, which can only be done by plugging the power cord. Not well thought out, having no power switch or reset button, and you cannot access the reset through the remote when the Roku is locked up. The little fans solve that problem. At first, I bought one 120mm fan, but I did not figure the overall size of the unit when I ordered it, so it was a little too big, but it was effective. I was well impressed with the quality and the virtual silence, so I ordered the dual 80mm fans. I hoped the would be separable, so I could use them one at a time, but they are not. However, both fans move slightly less air than the one 120mm fan, so I use them over and under, and they work even better. It does look odd, but they are out of sight, anyway. So, if you have a Roku or other device prone to overheating, consider these fans. I am glad I did.

As a budding engineer and first time snake owner, I wanted to ensure that my Rosy Boa hatchling had the best home I could provide! With that said, I was able to get the temps right inside of the cage but the humidity level was just a tad off compared to the room it was in. So I knew I needed some sort of ventilation for my setup and when I came across these, I was a little relunctant as I wanted a nice clean symmetrical setup. When I read that the distance between the fans was roughly two feet, I knew these would work well. And to my surprise, they worked even better than I thought! I do love how they are adjustable, the fans themselves fit perfectly between the legs of my light, and the added bonus was that there's a USB female connection to possibly daisy chain more or power anything else via USB. I've already found multiple uses for the extra USB at the top of my cage such as using it for a momentary intake fan when I do a fresh water change to vent out excess humidity, I've been playing around with an old Android tablet to remotely view my pet (TIP: snakes are nocturnal, smart devices don't have night vision :/ ), but now I'm thinking of using a Raspberry Pi with IR Cam or another set of fans for intake. The fans, even on their highest settings don't seem to bother me, though I do have a fan running in the room with a dehumidifier so...I'm not the best example for it's decibel range...I will say though, the fans on their highest settings seem to settle out the humidity differences within an hour or two which is what I needed them to do. Their weight seems to be neglibile as I wanted to secure everything to the screen so that I can lift the entire screen in one piece rather than taking the fan off, the light, and then the screen to minimize the chance of a runaway snake. Granted, I'm not using this to redirect heat away from a device but I feel like they would do excellent for my PS4 or PC. I plan on purchasing at least one more set and I'll figure it's useage later.

Absolutely love this product! Highly recommend. I use a fully enclosed dresser as a media stand. Has to leave the door open, which looked sloppy, to keep the components cools. Drilled two small holes in the back and just set these in there...big difference. Was so happy with it I did it right. Bought another pair (2 per shelf), drilled ventilation holes in the back then mounted the fans over them (see photos, disregard temporary lack of wire management). Works perfect and easy to do with just a drill, screwdriver and some longer bolts/screws. With everything closed (housing an HD DVR and router/gateway on one shelf, Xbox 1 and external hard drive on the other) temp is cooler than it was with the front door wide open. And they're extremely quiet. You can't hear them unless your ear is pressed against it. Again, highly recommend especially for the price.

I saw a suggestion for these fans on a TIVO community forum. Since the fan I had bought to replace the one that was in there crapped out, I was looking for another option besides replacing the interior fan every 3 months, and someone suggested these. I'm really glad I took the advice since they arrived today, and I removed the cover off my TIVO roameo OTA and disconnected the interior fan. I placed the TIVO back in the entertainment center and decided to leave the cover off the top and place the new fans on top of the unit without letting it touch anything crucial but still provide proper cooling. I was pleased with the fans on medium speed, but took it down a level and went with low speed. Nice! The fans are very quiet and the unit stays cool which should add longevity to the TIVO. These were packaged very well, arrived on time, priced very reasonably, and do everything I wanted them to do for my purposes. I'm confident they will provide years of service, but if I have any trouble, I will update this review, so if I haven't updated this, I am still a happy consumer!

Fans work great! They are wired together in a y formation. 2 leads coming from the fans into 1 lead with a power switch that has off, low, medium & high speeds. It then goes on to end with a USB connector at the end. With the USB plugged into the computer it will shut down the fans when the computer is powered off. It also has a female lead that can work as a USB extension to replace the USB port that the fans are running off of. The fans a super quiet on high & the rubber mounts on both sides work great. The can be turned to push or pull air depending on your preference. It comes with one adhesive backed square for a pull-tie, 1 is included. I ended up using my own ties which were larger. Was easy to mount both fas right to the back of my computer with no problems. Plugged them in & turned them on high. Had to look to see if they were running they were s quiet. Felt for the air coming out of the exhaust ports & was surprised by how much air they were moving!

Guys. Come on. This is just a great package all around. I was impressed. With a set of fans, i was impressed. The packaging was very nice. The stuff that came with the fans that was not the fans was not too much. They have been spinning for several weeks now. If you want to see them in action go to youtube and look up TRYtoHELPyou. I have a video where i 3D Print some AC Adapter hangers and mounts for these fans. There is some video footage of them if you are curious. Anyway, i hope that helps. Buy,buy buy. Bye bye! (please get that reference)

Ordered these because i was concerned with the fans on my xbox whining up all the time. It got quite loud and was worried the excess heat would drastically shorten its life. Looked on here for a usb powered fan and found this pair. Just put them in and wow, what a difference. I placed one fan next to the xbox so that it would blow air OUT towards living room. The other i placed ontop of my receiver blowing air UP since there was no room for it to stand straight. I didnt want the fans to run constantly so instead of plugging them into the xbox usb, i used the receiver front usb port. Fans now shut off when the receiver is off. And since the xbox sound is through the receiver: no fan, no sound. On high speed there is a bit of noise but the fans are virtually silent on medium speed. Placing my hand in the space above the xbox and receiver, the air is DRASTICALLY cooler. Im amazed at what these little fans do. Will definitely consider another pair if i add more electronics.

PROBLEM: The refrigerator is a 36 inch KitchenAid built-in. On the refrigerator side, except for a gimmicky drawer, all the cold air is supplied above the top shelf (left back corner.) The shelves are glass, so it pretty much stays there. [My deceased GE built-in used a vertical channel to deliver cold air to the center of every shelf.] I monitored the temperatures remotely with two Bluetooth thermometers SensorPush Wireless Thermometer / Hygrometer for iPhone / Android - Humidity & Temperature Smart Sensor with Alerts. Both were placed at the right back corner, away from the cold air supply. Averaged over 24 hours, the temperatures were: 31.2 degrees top shelf (yogurt froze, which was how the problem came to light) and 42.0 degrees bottom shelf. FIX: I used two sets of fans hooked together. Set 1 was at high speed: one fan on the top shelf, under the supply duct, pushing cold air down behind the shelf; the other fan was on the bottom shelf (same corner) pulling air in. Set 2 was at low speed, pulling air into the two middle shelves (same corner.) A single USB cable exited a bottom corner of the refrigerator, to a charger on the back wall. RESULT: Averaged over 24 hours, the temperatures were: 36.3 degrees top shelf, 38.6 degrees bottom shelf. I haven't played around with the setup, so this one is probably not the best. It might even work with just one set of fans.
