We bought an outdoor hanging lamp for our front porch and didn’t realize that it uses a special connector for the bulb...or I should say a special bulb with a GU24 connector. I have never seen this connector before and I originally wanted to use LED bulbs which we have a bunch of. I went hunting here to see about the bulbs with this GU24 connection and I found this! It works great and it comes in a 2 pack so you have a back up if needed. Just be careful when screwing the bulb into the connector as you will need to do it slowly so it fits properly. It’s cheaper then getting a GU24 bulb which are more expensive than s regular LED bulb.

After company sent replacements, they work great

After I posted my initial review (below), the company contacted me and asked if they could send me replacements, which they did. The replacements fit perfectly with my LED bulbs, and I am very happy with them. I have absolutely no complaints with the replacements. I will also note that it took over a month for the replacements to arrive. In the mean time, despite the long neck on the originals, I ordered another set of 10. I'm happy to say that the set of 10 fit just fine with my LED bulbs, too; no need for modifications. Original review: I bought these to replace the expensive CFLs (that burn out frequently) with LEDs. I had two different types (manufacturers) of LEDs, and neither one would screw into the adapter far enough to make contact. That is because of the excessively long and totally unnecessary plastic lip that extends beyond the metal fitting by probably 3/4 of an inch. My husband used a hack saw and literally sawed off about 1/2 inch from the end of the adapter. Then the lightbulbs fit nicely, and worked great. To the credit of these adapters, they are made of strong enough materials that using a hack saw to cut the end off didn't bend them at all. But why on earth would they add the extra totally useless plastic that prevents an LED bulb from fitting into the adapter?

these adapters will work great for you

Ordered these to attempt to retrofit screw base bulbs into a GU24 base bathroom vent fan. It was hard to find exact measurements for how much these adapters added to a bulb, so I took a chance and figured I'd get some accurate measurements while I was at it. As you can see The bare bulb I used for measurement was 4-5/32" from crown to contact point. Adding the adapter adds 11/32" (almost 3/8") to the bulb to the flat bottom of the adapter And it adds 19/32" (almost 5/8") to the bottom of the pins. So if your fixture can handle an added 5/8" to the length of the bulb, these adapters will work great for you.

MUCH cheaper than buying just ONE GU24 light bulb!

I was looking to replace the GU24 light bulb that had burned out in the house I bought. The bulbs are $15 each and the reviews on them were terrible! On one site it mentioned these adapters in the ratings section. So I went to Amazon, my place to start for all things, and found them here for $6 for 2 adapters. Since I have 3 of these fixtures in my home I bought one set to see how well it would work. Worked beautifully, but it does lengthen the light bulb somewhat so I can't get the globe to cover it. Not to worry, I'm planning on replacing these fixtures with ones that use LED bulbs in the future anyway. These were a great bargain for me until I do so.

These adapters are a light(life) saver so you dont have to live on the dark!!

These adapters are the absolute best! When my apartment kitchen lights went out and I was going to change them and found out they used a bulb I've never seen before or could never find at any hardware store or grocery store. I was living in the dark until I not only found these same lightbulbs (which arent cheap by any means or easy to find) I looked on Amazon and found these adapters too. And not only are they cheap, but they are a light changer lol. I am so happy to have found them and you can use any regular bulb in them or the more easily to find spiral light bulbs. My apartment uses the 2 pronged design and the 4 plug with the plastic divider as well. I only hope to find an adapter for those as well. These are the best honestly. Many of the older lamp housings were made nicer than more modern materials

The adapter allowed me to use newer technologies bulbs mindful of the watt consumption recommended by that lap and enjoying it. I have the old glass dome, new LED bulbs, saving energy, and using a brand of lamp that ushered in the era of we should be smarter and brighter about all this. The two adapters are quality and exceed new manufactured lamp requirements. CFL to LED swap

I wanted to replace the GU24 base CFLs with led bulbs in the bathroom light-vent. I could not find a GU24 base led that would fit. I did find a GE led bulb that is small but it has a standard screw base. The JACKYLED GU24 to E26/E27 allowed me to easily install led bulbs in the vent. The adapters twisted in easily and the leds screwed in with room to spare.

Works fine for its purpose.

When visiting family, I perform household repairs as needed. Happen to find an odd GU24 fixture at one family member, so I ordered these so a fixture could accept 120v led bulbs in place of the garbage CF that was in the fixture. Installation was easy, of course, given that GU24 has a simple bayonet mount. Screw in a rated LED, standar base bulb, replace the cover, and voila. Bulb will now last several versions of CFs, with no mercury worries. Claims heat resistant to 200C, but no way an LED will get that hot, especially given the LEDs low wattage, so no way to test it (and would prefer not to find out). Recommended for its niche.

So far so good, so I love these.

I had some hesitation obviously reading some of the poor reviews. I don't know if they have rectified the issue in manufacturing or not? But I received two of these adapters and 1st one? Worked perfectly immediately. I did have to screw the lightbulb in once or twice to make sure the contacts were touching. I would suggest those having issues please do that before leaving a negative review. But after a week using these? So far so good. I'll update if something changes within 6 months.

These are a great solution for the silly light fixtures that takes those crazy 2-prong bulbs. I guess they didn't become nearly as popular as manufacturers hoped they would and now a person must wonder if these rare bulbs will even be available in a few years. This adapter solves the issue completely. I now know that, at least for my lifetime, bulbs will be available and easy to find.
