This is wonderful for our backyard

This is wonderful for our backyard. I put our patio furniture cushions in it when they are not in use. It is great! It looks nice you can lock it down. My only complaint was that the manufacture accidentally left out a piece that I needed for the locking mechanism and when I contacted them I didn't get any help. Since I don't have anything valuable in there and it will shut I just let that issue go. I would have appreciated it if they would have simply mailed me the missing piece, but they did not address my issue. So the product itself is great! Customer service for smaller issues was really lacking by the company.

Great spa storage!

This has been great storage by our hot tub! Heavy duty “plastic” reinforced with steel. Direction to construct are the best I’ve ever received with a put-together product! I put this together by myself, only assisted once by a wall to support the back an top while I attached the lid. Very roomy interior and lid has “hydraulic” arms to keep lid lifted up in place while you get items out!. Lids is slightly convex to allow rain to drain off.

these are beautiful and use vertical space

Finally! I bought two of these, one for my back living room outdoor set and one for my side dining table / club chair set. I can finally have all the cushions stored as needed! these are beautiful and use vertical space. East to assemble, I think they can have the hinges pre-assembled but wasn't difficult at all! LOVE THESE!!! There was also a question if they were water and bug proof. I used white waterproofing tape all along the bottom edge to keep water and bugs out. I also used the tape all along the inside seams. Using a Bounce dryer sheet keeps the bugs away too.

good ole 1/2 inch

Don't know what the fuss is about. First of all this product is made in the USA! Let that sink in for a minute. It's not made with cheap ass materials. Nothing metric on this sucker, good ole 1/2 inch. I followed directions to a tea and maybe, just maybe some of it was vague but the parts were designed by Americans to fit into only one spot. I'm not the sharpest guy but this seemed very simple to assemble. The part numbers are actually cast into the pieces, not just taped onto the part, and the manual clearly identifies all hardware. Seems sturdy and all the parts lined up well. No offense to the other reviews but I thoroughly enjoyed assembling an American product for a change.

Great Look! Perfect Size!

I saw the smaller chest version at my friends but it would not hold all her cushions. This seemed like the perfect size and could be used as counter top also. Was a bit challenging to put together by myself but I did it! It's perfect! Looks great, holds all my cushions and keeps them dry! I believe mine was on sale at the time for $171.00!

Great product!

This box was perfect for our needs. It is just the right size to hold all of the cushions for our outdoor sectional couch. Construction was pretty easy overall and the locking mechanisms work well. So far it's doing a great job of keeping our cushions dry and protected when not in use.

Great Storage box!!!

I purchased this larger deck box to store cushions for a small sectional sofa that I recently purchased from amazon. A little time consuming to put together but well worth the effort. I have another smaller suncast storage box that has faded a little with time and I expect this to do the same since it is out in the direct sun. I'm very please with this purchase. It opens and closes perfectly.

Impressed and completely satisfied

Wow. I am so impressed with this deck box. I researched boxes for a long time before pulling the trigger on this purchase. I really couldn't be happier. Pro's: - it's huge! We have currently fit a total of 14 accent pillows sized 15"x15", 6 palm-sized mini basketballs, a small inflatable basketball hoop (still inflated) and 4 inflatable pool floats (deflated, folded) and there is approximately 15% of the space remaining. - it's quite waterproof. Of course, we experienced 3 massive monsoonal downpours with 10 days of placing it outside. All items inside remained completely dry; it felt humid inside but items were dry with no visible signs of leaks. - it matches our outdoor furniture perfectly. Cons: - The instruction manual. It contains a step that is the complete opposite of what is truly needed. The step involves snapping one of the sides into the base. All pieces have letters embedded on them as part of the plastic molding process. The instructions tell you to take a specific side (C) and it's said to be the "right" side when you should really use (D) the "left" side. After 20 minutes of all but forcing the incorrect piece without damaging the molded plastic material and re-reading the directions 20 times, my wife and I finally said it simply cannot be correct so we stepped away, looked the the pieces, used logic, took the 'other' side and it snapped right in. The rest of the assembly was a relative breeze. Note: I don't recall the actual letters on the problem pieces or the exact step number but it definitely involved the installation of the first side piece into the base. I would absolutely purchase this again.

Great design and tons of storage

This is well designed, easy to assemble, and provides a ton of storage space. Fits the cushions for my large, 7 piece patio conversation set with room to spare. I love the fact that it has a lid that lifts (with pistons to prevent from crushing your fingers), as well as lockable cabinet style doors. Brilliant

It was fairly easy to put together

This bar height deck box is big. It's big enough for cushions for a loveseat, two rocker club chairs, half a dozen throw pillows, and a couple of lanterns. There's still space for more. It was fairly easy to put together, though it's best to move it with 2 people once it's assembled. It went through a heavy summer downpour already and kept everything dry. The box and its interior does get quite hot in direct desert sunlight, so keep your citronella candles someplace else if they need to be put away; they will melt. It would be nice if the hasp took a full size lock, but that's a minor quibble.
