• ☀ Perfect for high humidity terrariums; lasts up to 10,000 hours
  • ☀ Use only with a porcelain socket (E26 socket). To avoid scald, please wait at least 1 hour of cool down after turn it off
  • ☀ Voltage: AC 110-120V; Power: 100w; Material: Ceramic, Metal, NiCrAl
  • ☀ This non-light emitting heater bulb offers an excellent 24 hours heat source and will thoroughly heat any reptile without the disturbance of an additional light source
  • ☀ It will also increase the ambient air temperature in the terrarium. Infrared heat penetrates the scales and skin tissue, promoting health and healing as it widens the blood vessels and increases blood circulation.

This is a great heater. I got a hedgehog, without doing the proper research first and needed a heater, stat. This arrived promptly andI have it facing sideways on top of the tank and it keeps the habitat in the upper 70's and the whole bedroom a few degrees warmer.

It’s not just warm, it’s insanely hot, so please be careful. After 5 minutes I have this element at 700-800 degrees F depending on where the laser hits. You’ll notice by the pics that I have a different intention than reptiles, but there is a 5” fan blowing on this thing and it’s still that hot. Works great, just please be careful about grabbing this thing or you’ll get more than just a light burn.

We needed something extra for an elderly cat who likes to sleep in a little kitty hammock near a window Spring through Winter. He is fine most of the year but when winter rolls around, that spot can be a bit cool and his old bones ache with the cold. We have tried small heaters and infra-red lights but the air and noise of the heaters bother him and the red light bothers us. When I saw this ceramic heat bulb, it seemed just the thing. I was especially impressed by its claim of low wattage (reduced electricity bills!) since space heaters and heat lamps are usually such energy hogs. This has definitely lived up to the claims. It heats wonderfully, and on particularly cold days our old kitty curls up directly beneath it and purrs himself to sleep. It also does wonders for our electric bill not having a high wattage space heater going all the time! This spring, we bought 30 chicks and used this as their heat source for the first 3 weeks or so, and it worked beautifully for that as well. Now it is put away for use again this winter for our kitty. If it broke now—which it shows no sign of doing, by the way—it would have been worth the price for all the use it has had so far. I’m really expecting it to last at least one or two more seasons because it is sturdily made and has no moving parts to break (unlike space heaters!) I definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a bit of extra warmth somewhere without noise or glaring lights! My only caution is to keep this away from anything flammable and to position it at least a foot (preferably 18”) from any animal you intend to use it for. It does get hot! If your cat, chick, dog, lizard, etc. is avoiding sitting beneath it on a cold day, you probably need to move it higher up or further away. You can place a meat or candy thermometer under it for a couple of hours to get an idea of the temperature if unsure.

I purchased this for my bearded dragon. After using a red basking light for about a week while waiting on his supplies, I can tell there is a HUGE difference in the cage temperature and his behavior. He spends more time on his basking rock and the hot side of his tank where the heat emitter is gets to about 95 degrees in 10 mins, which is exactly where I need it. I'm sure that the insulation in my tank could be improved and he emitter could bring it to a higher temp, but it's really great and allows me to have a hot and cold side with a 20 degree temp difference. It's also non luminous, which as a first time owner I hadn't expected that and though it was broken. All in all a great purchase and I highly suggest it for other reptile owners needing heat without light.

The chicks I just got like this just fine, and I like that it doesn't emit visible light. That way the chicks' schedules aren't all screwed up by 24 hr light. That being said, you still need to be careful with this, because, well ... it gets HOT. Which is the idea, but don't burn your coop or barn down because you don't think it gets HOT. It does. And it does eat power, 100 Watts worth. My chicks actually preferred this over the plate heater I bought for the first couple of days. Now they like the plate heater, but this is a great alternate source in case your critters don't take to the heat source you have.

I bought this for my quail brooder. I like this because it is much cooler than the normal 250 watt heat lamp bulbs that I can buy at the local feed store. I will probably use this in the barn over the winter as it is much less of a fire hazard and I won't have to worry about blown filaments during the snow when I need the heat the most. If anyone has found this review helpful in any way, please feel free to hit the button. Thank You

This was AN EXPERIENCE. Me and my bf had no idea this thing ONLY emits heat and no light, so we thought it came defective until we felt the crazy amount of heat coming out of this thing just seconds after turning the switch on!!! It's a great product BUT beware if your tank is not so huge cause it will end up overheating and probably killing your pet. I got 2 bearded dragons in a 175 gal tank, the male had some minor respiratory issues due to the cold weather here in NY and also due to the fact that i had just switched him from a 20gal to a 175gal tank, therefore i needed higher wattage on the bulbs plus other things in order to aid in the raising of the temperature and this bulb just did the trick perfectly! Im VERY happy, my dragon is getting better and that alone is a sign for me that I'm doing something right. This bulb is a great option for dramatically increasing cold temps in a big tank.

I was concerned that the red heat lamp was disturbing my chameleon's rest at night as it did mine; his tank is visible from my bedroom. And I was having to replace them often. Normally, no heat at night would be fine but we've had a cold rainy winter here in the bay area in CA, and he was hovering up close to the red heat bulb and, then when that blew yet again, the incandescent halogen bulb. His tank temperature was not getting above 65 degrees F during the day and getting down to 50 at night. He was obviously not happy never leaving the screen at the top. Researched and decided on this bulb. Now he's cruising all over his tank again, more active during the day and he's gone back to midlevel to sleep on his very secluded branch behind the foliage where he slept all Spring and Summer, a favorite spot. He's happy so I'm happy. Love my Green Bean, such a cool guy. I will stick to this bulb and will also use one when keeping our baby chicks warm after hatching.

Received on June 7th blew today (9/1) was disappointed as the reason I purchased this one was due to it claiming to last longer than zoomed heat bulbs. UPDATE: However, BYBLight saw the above review and wanted to make my experience with them right so they offered me a replacement bulb for mere pennies. It arrived incredibly fast and the customer service was OUTSTANDING. My bearded dragon is wonderfully cozy again. The bulb is going strong and I am so so happy that this company took the time to reach out to fix the issue 💙

Had to update my review, first heat emitter I bought was faulty and didn't last long. Company saw review and since they stand behind their product, they sent me a replacement. The replacement works so much better then the original one. Nothing tells me more about a company and a product when any company does that. So far the heat emitter works like a champ and I'm very happy with it.. Thanks!
