I don't know who was so smart and invent this trays. It's much easy to care about hamster. Less stuff to wash. Of course it's little bit more expensive than if you buy bag of bedding but it worth every penny.

This thing makes my weekly cleanup so much easier! Just lift up the tray, toss and replace with a new one! Currently using it with my Kaytee CritterTrail 2-Level Habitat. Barry, my Syrian hamster, loves the bedding included with this tray! I'll more than likely have to switch to this bedding as its more light and fluffy than the bag I already bought (carefresh Custom Hamster/Gerbil Pet Bedding, 30 L, Natural). If you want to be a little frugal like me, you can probably get a few usues with this tray. Just lightly wash with mild soap and water before refilling with more bedding. Barry does like to chew on the corners. Although it seems that was only during his first week with me. Seems to have stopped as I no longer see other parts of the tray being chewed on.

So, your 8 year old wants a hamster and PROMISES to take care of it? And after the initial excitement how does that go? Well, if your 8 year old is like mine, it turns into me nagging her about it. : / I love these things!!!! they make hamster care soooooo much easier. easy enough that your 8 year old might actually do it! or, if you're stuck doing it, then at least it doesn't take long: Get a trash bag, dump old liner and all into it, spray & wipe inside of bottom of cage (sometimes a little pee around the edges, but never much), put new liner in, put stuff back in, fresh water & food. DONE. 5 min max. The only downside is that I wish it were a 4 pack, because the subscribe & save monthly option doesn't quite line up with our changing schedule (weekly). So every 2-3 months I have to order an extra pack.

These things are FANTASTIC!!!!! We just got my daughter her first hamster and I haven't had one since I was young...but all I remembered was the pain it was to clean the cage. These trays make it soooooooo easy!!! My 5 year old can do it! I do feel like they could have a bit more bedding in them. So I bought an extra package of just bedding to supplement. I will continue to buy these!!!!

Excellent and Easy

It doesn't get much better than this. Very little spillover which leaves little to wash. Easy in and easy out. While I still don't get extremely excited about changing the hamster cage, it will do until I can train him to do it for himself.

These things are amazing! I was blown away when I saw them after purchasing a new cage recently. Ana on had a much better price than the store, so of course I purchased here. The product itself is great. Just remove the old one and put the new one in to clean the cage quickly and easily. Would be very easy for a child to manage. I have not needed to purchase any extra bedding for the cage as this seems to fluff up just fine after hammy cruises through it a few times.

Cannot Express how this is a game changer. If you are unsure about getting a hampster/gerbil for your child due to cleaning and smell this is it folks. 5 min change all is well. I have these auto coming every other month. Sometimes have even reused the tray 2 times...so worth it.

Soft and clean

Bedding is softer and easier for Hammie to go through. Trays are great for cleaning. I may subscribe.

Conveniently Clean Your Pet Cage.

They work great and are easy to swap out of my daughter's hamster cage. These come in different sizes so make sure you measure your cage before ordering. There is enough bedding in this so even if your hamster likes to take some and put it in a different part of the cage like ours there is still enough left over to cover the bottom. I got these cheaper than at the store with fast shipping. The biggest convenience with these is just picking them up and swapping them out VS having to scrape the bottom of the cage with every litter changing. It's very absorbent so this helps keep the odor down.
