My 8 year old loved receiving this for his birthday along with another Hot Wheels set. He put the two together and made his own track. I’m impressed that it actually works! It’s all about those battery powered boosters. If your child loves hot wheels, they’ll have an amazing time putting there cars through this!

I read lots of negative reviews about this set complaining about the booster not working or working incorrectly. I have not had any problem at all with the one I received. The set is a very good combination of stunt elements and they all work well - as long as you're using the car it comes with. After a lot of experimentation, we've come to the conclusion that the only cars that will make it through the loops and complete the full setup is a short-wheelbase sport car with the new generation larger wheels, and it needs to be a bit on the heavy side. Too long, too light, or wide and cars won't do the loops. Still lots of fun when you get it right.

This is a great How Wheels set. I love this set because my son never gets tired of it because every time we break it out, we set it up differently. The fact it can be setup in so many different ways helps spur my kids creativity. Although a bit pricey, it's well worth the money.

Bought this as a Christmas gift. We constructed it as pictured, but the vehicle wasn't making it through the 2nd loop so we moved the 2nd loop to shortly after the booster. This way the cars make it through both loops. Now it works great!

It is great if you can find one under $25. It not worth more than that. It is made of cheap plastic and the motor is ridiculously loud and very power hungry. Gift of early 4 year old. Loves his round and round hot wheels racer and compares it with his IPAD hot wheels app.

Wow - This track set offers plenty of track and features for the money. Different configurations are possible and it's relatively straight-forward to set-up although the instructions to set it up could be better and it could also offer clearer instructions for different set-ups. But that's a minor complaint given the sheer fun of this track. It requires 4 'C' batteries (we use rechargeable ones) and the booster is just about powerful enough to push the cars along the loops. The cars don't come off half way round the loop - but this depends on the cars being used. There are many Hot Wheels cars that can't be used with this due to their weight as they're too heavy but most of the light to medium weight cars will work. I also like the easy to pull apart track joiner pieces which have a 'button' in the middle for easy release so that you, or your child, can take it apart quickly. We set it up in about 5 minutes and we played for an hour as soon as we received it. What more can you ask of a toy these days! Good bang for your buck.

This is a great stand alone set made even better when combined with some of the other building sets. My son likes this set the best as the motor really blasts some of his heavier cars super fast. The motor will shoot some of the lighter plastic cars right out of the track. Battery utilization is not crazy so you can actually play for a good 6-10 multiple hour sessions before they need to be replaced if you use name brand batteries. The hard molded corners do slow the cars down bases off the sharp angle at which they turn but it's not enough to stop the cars from covering great distances after the corner.

I purchased this for my grandson for the holidays. He has collected Hot Wheels for 5 years and has been begging for a race track. I had gotten an off-brand track for my other grandson a couple years ago, but the connectors for the track split after the 2nd time he used it. I trust Hot Wheels brand to stand the test of time and give him many years of enjoyment.

My son loves this and has played with it all day. Huge improvement from when we had hot wheels in the 70s! No stacking books and using stairs to get height and speed to get thru the loops. It's been great!
