This waffle maker works just great! You don't need to spray oil on it, it is easy to clean and the waffles look and taste wonderful! I was a little bit worried, when I read some of the bad reviews (some even with photos), but I think some people just can't cook or bake.

works great. i use an unnamed store-bought mix, top-rated by consumer reports, named for someone's aunt. I sometimes add a little cinnamon and a little vanilla, but it's not necessary (just a nice accompaniment). I let the mix sit for about an hour after stirring everything together, then turn on the waffle maker. With the temp knob set to the 1:30 position of the clock, i put in 1/2 of the batter, close the lid, and hold it down for about 20 sec. A very small amount of batter runs over, but it's easy to clean up. My kitchen timer has 6 minutes in its memory (for hard-boiled eggs), and that's almost exactly the correct amount of time for the waffles. When they stop steaming, they're done. Some good (read: REAL, not sugar-water) Maple syrup adds the perfect finish.

It took an entire batch of waffling pancake mix the night before so that the funky taste disappeared, even though I did wash the plates as instructed. I guess the coating has to "cure" first... Once it does though, and I know it doesn't have those nasty Teflon additives, I was good to go. I am glad I did because the next morning, once cured, we made really great thick beautiful knock your socks off yummy Belgian waffles for breakfast. I modified the included recipes and also created my own. You can even be adventurous with it 🤣. That afternoon my son came home to waffled Panini's. Then for desert I waffled cake mix (the one with the sprinkles). I topped it with whipped cream and he looked at me like I was a genius or something...it was a big hit! Yes you CAN impress and surprise a teen after all. Since then I have made all sorts of goodies and the compliments just keep coming. Preheating is a MUST for good results. I butter my plates for extra taste. I love this thing!

MUST BUY ! This is one of the best Waffle Maker I had ever owned. And even I am using it in Singapore (yes, with a power transformer) it makes the effort worthwhile as it makes the best waffle. We have a situation in which the temperature control is imperative to our use. My spouse likes white color waffle, my mother like it medium and for me, I like it crispy. So, its a one maker for all happiness. The non-stick surface is also great, and with little oil for first use, it works well. Would recommend to anyone.

I used to have a waffle iron years ago that was coated with that awful non stick surface and I threw it away bc if the chemical smell when I made waffles and how hard it was to clean. I recently decided I wanted one again so indecided to look and I was thrilled to find this inexpensive, ceramic one. It really is non stick and no chemical smell bc no teflon coating. Wipes clean easily and makes delicious waffles. Easy to use and the settings give you soft or nice crisp waffles. I read the reviews and I'm glad I ignored the few bad reviews. This is a great waffle iron! I've used it about 5 times now.

Ignore the bad reviews. This is a fine waffle maker (if you follow the directions). Don't set a timer or anything like that. I will tell you the secret. (Shhh...) 1. Plug the thing in while you mix the waffles up. 2. Spoon waffle batter into the HOT iron 3. Let it stay there until it stops steaming (like the direction say) We get perfect waffles every time with all kinds of different waffles. (This one works great: [...]) We love this waffle maker!

Oh Yeh!! My whole family is in love with waffles. Why I waited so long to buy one I don't know. It was sooo easy to use! Yes it does take a little extra time. Don't pay any attention to the stupid "ready" lite. Just follow these simple rules: Out of box 1) clean the inside gently with slightly damp and soapy cloth or paper towel. Rinse cloth clear of soap, run the cloth over plates to get them clear of remaining soap. Dry off. 2) plug in waffle maker use a baster brush and lightly brush crisco over plates and set dial to medium for lightly browned waffles. 3) Mix waffle mix up but not too much. make sure to add recommended oil. When (and this is only time to pay attention to lite) the green lite goes on open maker and pour into center of maker about 8oz of batter and close lid. Set a separate timer for 7-8 minutes or until the maker stops steaming . Do not lift lid before this. There is no buzzer to tell U it's done so be sure to separate timer. Non stick is easy clean-up! But it has to cook long enough :-)

I bought waffle iron because it was the only one I found made from titanium. I've used it multiple times to make paleo waffles. It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and cleans up easily.

i'm so glad that i found this. i really hate using conventional non-stick appliances. the duraceramic coating has been great. i use it with butter but my wife doesn't and the waffles slide right off either way. we like the retro style and it's easy to clean and put away. the dial on top is a thermostat not a timer. with a little practice, i'm able to get great waffle from good ol' aunt jemima (whole wheat) every time! UPDATE 4/29/16: sixteen months later, the waffle maker died. i used it about twice a week. i still liked it but i am disappointed that it didn't last longer. i've decided to upgrade to a Bella 14449 Ceramic Rotating Waffle Maker with Delicious BELLA recipes included, Silver which also has ceramic coating and the flip feature. i didn't get the oster flip waffle maker because the bella looks like it is better designed for storage.

Disclaimer: If you are a compulsive multi-tasker, this model isn't for you. There's no on-off switch and no auto-off. This feature is great for the ability to continue crisping. It is not so great if you are likely to walk off and accidentally forget the thing for six hours. Fortunately, the unit cycles off and on according to the set temperature. Therefore, it probably won't overheat, but you could still end up with a waffle-shaped rock. Ultimately, as the instructions say, don't leave the unit unattended while it's turned on. All of that notwithstanding, I love this little waffle maker! I bought it for my husband after our other one fell off the top of the fridge (a bad storage location, in retrospect). This new one is compact and so easy to store. Stand it up and tuck it away. With the smaller footprint and profile, we are able to put it safely in a cabinet. It's not a wrestling match getting it out and putting it away. Now if I want a fresh waffle, I can just go for it. No groaning or indecision. Just grab, mix, pour, wait-a-few, and chow down. I also like the fact that you can leave the waffles in longer to get them crispier and browner (emphasis on the "-er"; If you like them really crispy, you'll still have to put them in the toaster oven after). Additionally, the handles make for easy maneuvering and the non-stick is truly non-stick. The serving size is perfect for me, but because the grid is sectioned, it's easy to cut a finished waffle into wedges if I want more or less. Clean-up is basically a once-over with a paper towel. And this wasn't really a deciding factor, but now that I have it, I must say that I think this unit is super attractive. It's sleek, and it doesn't "showcase" all that endless grime that the white appliances do. Not to mention that, well, ya know . . . it's shiny :)
