This replaced a similar Oster fry pan that was used for many years until the surface coating started to go. The new one has a ceramic coating that so far seems excellent! The pan is very sturdy and well made - highly recommended!

Replaced one that broke and while I little smaller than my rectangular one, it works great.

Be careful not to head food at real hot temperatures that cause burning (like booking bacon too hot) or you will get the ring around the middle. I love mine and keep my husband away from it now.

Everything will turn out perfect! I have cooked eggs, meat, cheese, pancakes and lots of other stuff.... NEVER used oil. NOTHING sticks. Clean up is a breeze, just pass a kitchen towel thru it and its perfect. Considering never cooking on the stove again.

I don't understand why all the negative posts! If you understand how an electric skillet works you will know that it will always have hot spots. The heating element is just a circle of heat on the bottom of the pan. It will always be hotter where the element is than the rest of the pan. To use the pan properly, keep the heat low (I rarely set it higher than 225 degrees). You must "babysit" the food and keep it moving around the pan. If you want to set it and forget it, don't buy an electric skillet! This is my favorite brand and I just bought another one for the boat! Two years of use...no discoloration, no chipping or peeling off.

This was a replacement purchase. We thought the first Oster electric fry pan was great. This one is better. The cooking surface has been improved and clean-up is even easier. We especially like being able to fry or saute without messing up the stove. Definitely worth the cost.

This was a gift for our daughter & son-in-law for Christmas; They love it & are hoping it lasts longer than the previous 2 they had.

Nice little skillet, one thing I've learned is none are totally non stick I have had them all, but if you season your ceramic before use, it will work great. How to season, take some canola oil and lightly rub it all over surface of ceramic, turn on to your electric skillet about 225-250 and cook for 2 minutes watching that it does not smoke or burn, after the 2 minutes let cool very important it must be completely cool, then wash with a little soak and water, wipe dry. Love my skillet!!!!!

high praise for this fry pan. It truly is non stick due to the ceramic lining. The ceramic lining truly is amazing and a thousand times better than the old teflon lining. When your old fry pan starts needing to be soaked and scrubbed to get it clean, I highly recommend that you get this pan, it is wonderful and amazing. Very glad I found it on Amazon, oh btw the ceramic lining is a blue grey which matches my kitchen walls (how did they know???)

I don't rate products often, but this is a standout. Bought one to replace the old, warped hand-me-down skillet in our seasonal home. With the ceramic coating it was an instant hit! Makes great pancakes, egss, fried potatoes, sauteed vegetables, poached chicken..Ordered one at home, just wiped it clean after frying a mess of potatoes & onions until crispy brown. The old pan would require soaking & scouring. The new one, with the ceramic coating, wiped clean with a dishcloth. The clear glass lid is a bonus too - I can check progress without lifting the lid, speeding up cooking. My experience with the new coating has led me to begin replacing my 25-45 year old cookware with ceramic-coated products
