All woman, no cry...
Just used these gloves with a SHARP mandolin to make razor-thin shallots for a made-from-scratch green bean casserole for the holidays. I'm SO happy I bought these because they WORK exceptionally well! I set my mandolin to the thinnest setting and used these gloves to get the finest thinly cut shallots. Love, love, love this product. They fit like a glove! Hahaha.. puntended. :-) If you're culinary inclined, it's a very practical item to have in your must-have culinary cutlery collection. Oh, and I'm not a bot, not a paid person to rave, I'm a reg gal who just loves to cook. So there. ;-)

Almost essential for mandolin or deli-slicer work.
1. The product is great quality. I use these at work for some research experiments that require precise cutting of material and they hold up really well. I bought some for home use and they are essential (IMO) for mandolin and deli-slicer work. 2. Oddly enough the instructions are incredible. You'd think they's be just, "put gloves on, don't get cut" but they really give you some insight on the proper use and limits of these gloves. I was surprised how lucid and informative the instructions were. I can recommend these gloves, they work and I feel like my food-prep is better from using them. Some advice, if you are using them while working with raw meat or juicy fruit, wear some latex gloves over them. Works great for grip and keeps them clean and usable.

Happy! Happy! Happy!
I initially ordered a size medium as I have arthritis and swollen knuckles. When they arrived, I found they were too big and the fingers were too long. I posted a review to this effect and the day I sent it back to Amazon, I received an email from the seller stating they were going to send me another pair in size small, free of charge. They also told me that I don't need to return the original pair. I'm glad I did as they can sell it to someone else. The new pair arrived within a few days and it fits perfectly now. I am so happy I made this purchase. Last summer I sliced off a chunk of my thumb using the mandoline. I will never have to go to the Emergency room for doing this again! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to the sellers of this wonderful product. It is a great product and your customer service is unbeatable! I am so happy!

Great Product
Despite some of the reviews I've read, these gloves have stopped everything I have touched with them on. I use them in my woodworking shop where I have touched my belt sander with my fingers and I still have all my finger prints and nails. I am also a green horn knife smith and to this day I have not gotten a cut while wearing them. I even touched the blade on my table saw about a week ago, these gloves kept my thumb from injury except for a bruise!!!! Ruined my gloves, but not my hand, I ordered 2 more pair after that, and will always keep them on hand. DO NOT TRY THIS! I WAS VERY LUCKY!!! Thank You NO-CRY!!!!!!

They are cut "resistant" and DO a marvelous job
Update: The first pair wore out and we bought another. It's worth every penny! My wonderful wife frequently uses a mandolin in the kitchen. Sometimes, I believe she thinks she's on Top Chef or chopped. When she gets into julienning, I'm just waiting with car keys in hand to take her to the ER. So, as a proactive measure, I purchased these. They are quite comfortable. They stretch with excellent elasticity. She loves them and I feel more comfortable that she is wearing something that can protect her. She has used these gloves dozens of times. Not a single issue and she has washed them with the kitchen towels. No problem. For those who wrote that the glove got cut and you were disappointed. What if you weren't wearing the glove? It's cut "resistant". For about $10, it's a great safety tool for the kitchen.

Amazing Gloves if you are a Woodcarver or Whittler
These gloves are a perfect fit and work amazingly well, especially considering the reasonable price. I am a hobbyist woodcarver and frequent cuts are relatively common problem for woodcarvers. Since wearing these gloves, I have yet to have any cuts or injuries from my hobby and I can't imagine going back to carving without them. These gloves took maybe an hour or so to get used to; just retraining the muscle memory because they add a small amount of thickness to your fingers. I haven't had any issues with grip, even when using palm tools like chisels or gouges. These are also very comfortable and do not make my hands too hot. For transparencies sake, I payed full price for this product and am not being compensated in any way, nor do I know the manufactuere of these gloves. Just really enjoyed the product and thought I'd provide some support for a great company making something that I use on a daily basis.

NoCry Cut Resistant Gloves VS. a Sharp Knife

NoCry? No LiE!!
I've been cooking for years with but little trouble here and there. Last year I started trying to stick with fresh fruits and veggies. This was fine when I was rested and feeling inspired and chef-y. But When I was hungry or hangry or otherwise rushing - after work, in time for my intermittent fast to start, I got some of me in the mix. The last 2 injuries this year left me wrapped like my whole finger broke - those cuts on the tip are hard to keep covered and sadly cancelling my manicure for weeks. ENOUGH! There must be something to help me never cut my hand like this again. I almost bought a shield when I ran across the wonderful protection the NoCry people have developed. There's no more love hate relationship between me and my mandolin and the grater and I get so close its not even funny, with nary a scrape. I can easily use ALL the food I'm working with instead of worrying about what's going to happen to my fingers or knuckles and when. Plain old chopping is enhanced also, especially when I get in a hurry and what to hold the whole half cabbage and chop it at once and maybe slip here and there. I'm 65, and still pretty dexterous, but I'm sure these gloves can greatly extend the ability for someone less steady to continue to work with kitchen cutting tools. I have to say, I cook in fits and starts. So when I ordered these I had just finished 3 soups into cups and apple flax muffins and cornbread muffins frozen. When the gloves came, I tried them on and they seemed a tad big. See the image. NoCry inquired by email if things were OK just as I was deciding they were a bit big. I shared and they did too! They sent me another pair at no charge in the next size down which fit perfectly and is the pair I use. I am 5'10 with big hands and usually buy men's gloves so I initially got the large. Customer service is excellent and I am very pleased with these gloves and will rarely chop without them anymore.

Practical, functional gloves for almost every work related use!
I volunteer at a local animal shelter and sometimes walk the dogs and also train them w/ sausages. The doggies get super excited about these treats so I bought these to ensure my fingers don't get injured from them thinking my extremities are hot dogs. So far, so good! When I wear the gloves, I've noticed that dogs are more careful (weird!) and gentle when grabbing the treats out of my hand. The material is not too thick, not too thin which is what I love about these gloves. They are just right that I can move my fingers around freely and not worry about them interfering w/ my activities. And yes - I have tried to slice my hand w/ my Shun chef's knife while cutting fish for sashimi and I am happy to report that the gloves kept my hands safe. I've seen some comments about sizing. But if you buy a small kitchen (or dishwashing) gloves, small NoCry gloves will fit you fine.

Thumbs up!
I lopped off the end of my thumb last week while cutting sweet potatoes. After regaining consciousness I purchased a pair of these NoCry cut resistance gloves and couldn't be happier.
