Great shoe at a great price.

I bought these shoes for my son. He attends a catholic school and they are very strict about the dress code. I was able to find these shoes at a good price. The uniform store was charging almost $50. I wasn't paying that much because my son usually goes through at least 2 pair of sneakers every school year. NB does hold up better than other brands but I think my son drags his shoes through the hall way or something. Lol but at this price I don't mind having to buy another pair. Excellent purchase.

Great shoes for those who need xtra wide

My child requires xw shoes. Not a lot of brands that make them. I bought these and two other in different brands. These were the ones that fit most comfortably and look to be sufficiently cushioned. I needed a 11xw and these allow the feet to slide in comfortably. I feel that compared to ssame size in the other two brands i bought these will last a little longer in terms of little more wiggle room before he outgrows it.

We don't have to worry about him tripping over laces so they're perfect!

My sons second pair. He is very rough on shoes and these lasted him half the school year. Came back and purchased another pair for the second half. We don't have to worry about him tripping over laces so they're perfect!

over all good shoe

I was quite pleased that I was able to get my son's orthotics to squeeze into the shoe. It's just wide enough to accommodate my son's special orthotics. And with some work, I, or rather my son's physical therapist was able to loop the velcro straps so the shoe will stay on his foot when he is wearing the orthotics, but it is a tight fit and my son says they are uncomfortable. We have worn several sizes of this shoe pre-orthotics and I love how it holds up, and looks good. And if your child doesn't tie his shoes, the velcro straps are quite handy. the shoe itself provides stability and has a high arch, too.

Great fit and comfort

These shoes were purchased for my daughter with special needs for a work placement. They are easy to get on and off for her with the velcro fasteners. The all black design makes it them look a little more "dressy" for her at work as opposed to the bright colors most running shoes are these days, but still are comfortable as she works in a storeroom and needs supportive and sturdy shoes, as opposed to dress shoes. Fits great and comfortable so super happy with these.

Perfect for kid's school

My kid has fat feet, but these still close on this shoe, not all the way on the top Velcro, but he loves them. He uses them for school every day and seem to be very comfortable. He has wore them for 5 monthd now and I have to say, they are kids proof haha. I can’t believe they have lasted this long.

Excellent shoes for kids.

We have two kids wearing these shoes and they both like them very much. They have similar shoes by other companies they can compare to but they always come back to these as the New Balance KV624 are the most comfortable they say and therefore their favorite. The Velcro closure makes it easy to put on these shoes and materials are high quality throughout. Also, the attention to detail is visible and the materials including the leather uppers are very nice and supple. Finally, I like the fact that New Balance offers wide sizing...even for kids in this case.

Great uniform shoes!

My nearly 9 yr old son needed all black uniform Velcro shoes for school so purchased these. At first I ordered his size 2(M) as in medium fit but after 3 months I noticed his foot was kind of leaning in the shoe. He’s not fat or chubby but he doesn’t have a narrow foot either. That’s when I realized he would be better off with a “Wide” fit shoe. Luckily these also came in Wide so I ordered a 2 1/2(w) this time to give him a little growing room. They fit nearly perfect with just enough room and no more slanting shoes! I’m glad I ordered a size up because the 2(w) would have been too snug for his growing foot but I believe he had a growth spurt. I conclude these shoes are definitely true to size and a great option for uniform shoes.

GREAT shoe for wide feet, uniform/school shoes

As expensive as these shoes are, my son has wide feet and needs to wear certain colors and styles for school. We are now ordering our 4th - 4th! pair of these. He basically won't wear anything else. I have tried ordering him other shoes, but he loves how comfortable and easy to get on and off these shoes are (currently a 1st grader). The leather is good quality, the tread NEVER wears out. My son eventually grows out of these and wears them until a seam pops, then here we are ordering another pair!

Just What I Have Been Looking For

I have a 10 year old granddaughter with special needs, and she cannot tie shoes. I have been getting Sketchers with the velcro flap because the teachers at school doesn't take the time to tie shoes for the children. I went on the Amazon site and saw these New Balance shoes and ordered them because they looked so much better than the Sketchers. When I got them they were just what I have been looking for, a good looking shoe with the velcro flap, comfortable, and durable.
