I have nothing but great success with the Hatchbox line of PLA, and this orange spool printed perfectly, will be ordering again soon. REally nice bright orange color and excellent extrusion, with a nice glossy finish. Spend a few bucks and stick with what is known to always work, you will save yourself headaches on extrusion problems and a consistent product.

I'm still new to 3D printing, so I wanted to find consistent quality, and a good looking filament. I only used Inland filament before. UNTIL TODAY. I've printed a few things just to test out this filament. A 20mm cube (pictures below) and it's printing a Bency, which is looking great. I found printing at a lower temp (195C Bed=60C) and it it laid down smooth. It's Hatchbox from now on!

For a budget priced PLA, HB is the very best. The filament prints beautifully, but even more critically, HB is wound very precisely on the spool such that it does not tangle or impart stress on the extruder. If you are new to 3D printing and not sure what to start with, then here is your answer. Buy Hatchbox PLA and you will be able to focus on the pint design and not even give the performance of your filament a second thought.

As a relatively novice diy print enthusiast this PLA seems to work best on my printer (ender 3). Print quality is much cleaner and better looking when compared to prints using other PLA brands. I’ve used 3 spools of this stuff now and the quality is A+ for all 3. Great QC

I have purchased what is hailed as "orange" filament from other retailers and found it to be much closer to yellow side of the spectrum. This is proper "pumpkin" orange, which is precisely what I needed. The quality is excellent, the price is quite reasonable, and it's the color advertised. That's a trifecta.

I really love this filament! Printed with my Prusa mk3 and aside from slight stringing (which I fixed by lowering the temperature to 210) this filament has produced beautiful results. The color is perfect and the output is very consistent. Definitely going to buy another spool in the very near future.

First filament I ever printed with, I'm now on my third spool. This stuff prints so perfectly & is so forgiving that I ended up with unreal expectations of the whole of the 3d printing experience. After trying a dozen or so filaments of differing quality (& expense), if I could only print with one PLA filament for the rest of my life...

I am hands down a Hatchbox printer. I am impatient, and get frustrated easy and this filament has been effortless in 35 out of 36 rolls. I am pretty sure that the 1 of 36 was my fault (let it sit in open air too long). The filament is clean. I have had very few if any nozzle jams. I really only have issues with my nozzle after I have driven it into the bed. It doesn't burn as easy as others, so keeping the hot end clean is easier. I print at 205 because quality is better but I used to print at 190 and it worked well at that temp too. It flows smoothly and doesn't pop if you keep it dry. The colors are sharp and bold. They don't look washed out or transparent like other cheaper filaments do. My only complaint about Hatchbox is they apparently can not keep the colors green or purple in stock (on amazon). I would also like to see a wider range of colors. It's like the original crayons, I want a 124 color box but they only make 12 colors.

Even after sitting for a month out in the open. I flipped on the printer, and it has laid down nearly perfect layers every single time. Even on a Prusa 2 knock off. Very impressed. (I paid $21.15 for this filament, and that is what my review was based on for quality/price)

Like anyone else reading this comment, I purchased almost all hatchbox PLAs. Until orange, dark blue hatchbox pla was my favorite. I am not sure if a PLA can get better than this because my prints are flawless. Orange has absolutely no stringing and prints the smoothest surfaces so far. At 0.2mm layer height, it is so smooth, even 3000 layer stack doesn't have the visible lines. It is not mat, rather shiny which brings out the orange further. For the best looking results this is my setup: Printer: CR-10S Pro Nozzle: 205 (range is 180-210, I didn't like the bed adhesion at 200 though... I bet it can still print very good after first layer, but I am lazy to configure my slicer for the first layers every time. Start 205, continue 205.) Bed: 60 Fan: 100% Retraction: 6mm at 60mm/s Print Speed: 60mm/s This is absolutely an amazing PLA.
