Disney World Must Have!
We used this bag for our summer Disney World trip. My boyfriend and I each had one of these. In the morning we would load it with waters and snacks. To avoid having to pack ice packs I froze some bottles of water and put them in there, as they thawed we’d drink them. The front pocket is tight, but it held my poncho, keys, sunscreen, and other items. The bag never leaked during our weeklong trip. We are going back again this summer and this bag is coming with us again!

but it had ripped after about a year and wanted to try something that didnt make me look like Jimmy Neutron
It's been 8 months since I purchased this bag and I have absolutely NO complaints. This bag was purchased so that I could transport breakfast and lunch to work everyday. Originally I had the Igloo backpack cooler, but it had ripped after about a year and wanted to try something that didnt make me look like Jimmy Neutron. This Coleman bag holds ALOT cool and very well. I have a cooler pack in the large compartment with my food. In the front zipper I put my iPad 4. In the summer time if I have a light jacket, I put it through the elastic cord. I hope this never rips or breaks but if it does, I will be buying this again. I have the dark blue and yellow one. I think they also have a blue and light grey which I will be getting next.

Great Pack
I used this to take on a party boat salt water fishing boat. It keeps cold for ever it seems like and with the wet iI was in no water got inside the thermal pouch or the front pouch. I am 300 pounds and I had plenty of room left on the shoulder straps and the waist strap. It far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend. It also washes very well also, I used hand wash setting on machine and it did fine.

Working in a metropolitan park requires bringing two things everyday: Food and even more water. I researched extensively before purchasing this pack. I weighed cost, brand, reviews, and capacity. I've used it for 3 months and can attest that's worth every cent. I've stuffed it full of provisions and carted it all over park. It doesn't disappoint! While my coworkers are juggling their lunchboxes and coolers I'm organized and prepared. I can comfortably fit one Igloo 1/2 gallon Insulated Hydration Jug, Black/Red Heat, 64 oz and one Hydro Flask 21 oz Double Wall Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Leak Proof Sports Water Bottle, Standard Mouth with BPA Free Flex Cap, Raspberry I easily carry three times the amount of water of any of my coworkers. And I still have room in the front pouch for sandwiches, chips, and utensils. Plus the pack accommodates plenty of ice packs. Utilizing the webbed side pouches, I keep a travel pack of tissues and sunscreen. I even attached a: Condor MA77 (OD) to the upper carry strap to hold extra items. If they ever discontinue this pack I'll be crushed. Therefore don't pass up this excellent product! You won't be disappointed.

Excellnet beer cooler!
It is every bit as good as I hoped! I use the sealed ice packs which happen to perfectly fit on all the walls so my beers and cold the entire day. The material and stitching are of great quality. One of my better drinking purchases ever!

Great product
Review of Coleman backpack cooler This is a great product. Used it daily for 2 wks in Barbados. We loaded it to the brim w/heavy food & drink & it held up well. No issues w/ seams failing. Here’s what we packed on a daily basis: In the bottom of the pack laying down, 2-500 ml plastic frozen bottles of water. We kept our food & drink cool in this fashion, rather than using loose ice cubes. Keeping our food cool this way really didn’t take up much extra space, plus at the end of the day we could drink any of the melted water if we needed to. We then packed: 1-2L bottle of water; 3-500ml bottles of tea & juices (all liquids chilled well prior to packing); 2 sandwiches; cut up veggies; cheese; jerky; 2 pieces of fruit; pretzels; 2 helpings of chips; granola bar; cookies. We packed most of the food in 6 separate Tupperware containers, which takes up more space but preserves the food better. This took up the entire pack, w/minimal strain to close the zippers, & no strain on the zippers when closed. Packed in this fashion, the available space in the front pocket was nil - in that we simply put napkins in a Ziplock bag. Similarly, loaded in this fashion, the 2 mesh side pockets could only hold something small a/o flat. I put my watch there. I would call this a medium size backpack. I was able to take advantage of the padded hip belt – which was the reason I bought this pack – but I am short (5’) & so this pack fit me well. For a taller person, the padded hip belt would ride up much higher, prob’ly around the waist. We walked every day to various beaches, & the pack was comfortable. There is a good amt of padding everywhere that you need it. The pack does not compress well, so it will take up space in your checked luggage. For this reason, I used it as my “personal item” to carry on the plane, & filled it w/ soft things only. Anything sharp, such as a brush, comb, or possibly even an iPad, runs the risk of puncturing the loose, plastic-like insulation material lining the bag. You need to keep that fragility in mind when packing it w/food & drink as well. As with any cooler, if you keep it out of the sun, the contents will stay cooler longer. We always kept our pack in the shade & covered it up w/ a towel. The food & drink were still cool at the end of an 8-hr day out. I recommend this product for similar use.

Keeps my iPhone from overheating!!! BEST summer purchase!
I didn’t have very high expectations of this inexpensive Coleman backpack cooler. My family and I are going on vacation to the beach later this month and I purchased it in anticipation of that trip. I have 5 young children and anything with backpack straps is my friend, since they won’t carry or keep up with their own water bottles most days. I bought it thinking we could haul the baby’s bottles and their water cups to the beach more easily, but still had in my mind I wanted to try and snag a “nicer” cooler sometime in the near future. Ha. Nope, my desire for a Yeti Hopper is completely gone. I will stick with these Coleman backpack coolers as long as they make them! We live on the lake, in central Alabama where the weather this summer has been our typical high humidity and “feels like” temps of over 100. We spend almost every summer day in the full sun swimming, and I have been taking this cooler with us for the past month. It’s great at keeping our water bottles cold, and keeping snacks from melting, yes. It’s a cooler, it does it’s job. BUT, it’s most shining feature is one I discovered quite by accident. I had been leaving my phone (iPhone 7+) in the house while we were swimming because it was overheating, even if I was conscious to keep it in the shade. This Coleman backpack cooler solved that! I put a couple of ice packs in the big pocket, and then the smaller pocket holds my phone, Bluetooth speaker and/or earbuds, battery pack, etc. My phone stays cool and hasn’t overheated since! There is never any condensation inside the small pocket, but the cold transfers from the main compartment to keep electronics cool. In my photo I have my son’s iPhone 6, and a white A5 sized hardback journal for size reference. A5 is smaller than a standard school sized notebook but it is not pocket sized. There is also a purple floral Vera Bradley pen case standing up in there; it’s about 2” taller than an ink pen or #2 pencil. ALSO, your mileage may vary, and I wouldn’t test it intentionally, but having my phone in this cooler bag saved it from taking a swim in the lake, I think. I was out in the water and one of my kids knocked the cooler into the lake from the dock. It was in the water, face down (so the small pocket with my phone was in the lake) for at least 30 seconds while I swam over to grab it. I was certain my phone and everything else in there was toast, but nope. Bone dry! Not a drop of water got into the pocket with my phone or other electronics. I wouldn’t take it scuba diving, but it’s nice to know my stuff is safe if the kids are dripping on the bag or splashing around it, or if we get caught out in a heavy rain. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this cooler. The straps are very comfortable even when it’s packed heavy, and that’s without ever using the lumbar support that buckles around the waist.

This is an excellent cooler pack for a low price
A Medium size backpack with lots of cold food storage and the secondary comportment is large enough to fit a tablet and much more. The backpack feels fairly light to me when empty. The zippers are not too large yet sturdy and work smoothly. The shoulder straps curve inward so they don't have the tendency to slip off even when carrying the pack on one shoulder and they are padded which makes them very comfortable. There is a waist strap as well but I found it unnecessary because the shoulder straps work so well, it might be useful for extreme hiking or rock climbing or snowboarding etc. I put a couple cold bottles of water with a small freezer pack in it and it kept my water cold for more than 8 hours at work in the factory on a warm day. The low price of this pack is the icing on the cake.

everything you need in a cooler backpack
I have many backpacks, but this is my first cooler backpack. I love it. Pros: Easy washable material. I got it soaked in river water and Nice zippers, open and close without issue. • Front bungee cord seems usefull and cinches up pretty tightly. • Straps are thick and comfy and fit well on me (5’11” 200lbs) • Mostly waterproof. I had this fasted to my kayak with rolled in a river. Later upon getting back to shore I noticed only a little bit of water had entered the bag. I didn’t believe it was waterproof, but it’s pretty darn close to it. • It kept my stuff cold. I didn’t not check temps, I did not evaluate scientifically – I just used the backpack every day for a week. See note below. • 2 pockets are just fine for what I need. (1 main and 1 front small pocket) • 2 side water bottle pockets held a large bottle of sunscreen and a med bottle of bug spray just fine. I never put water bottle in them. • The silver lined insulation is pretty thick – thicker than any of the lunch bags, boxes, etc. that I have for my kids. • Note: For 5 straight days of beach use at 86F+ temps, I usually put 3 bottles of water, 4 cans of soda, a packable beach blanket (think parachute material), 1 2.5lb Arctic Ice Chillin Brew Series Reusable Cooler Pack and a few other items in the large pocket and my phone, charger, wallet in the smaller pocket. Both pockets had room to spare. Whenever I first checked email (was on vacation) for the day, I took out my glasses and phone and both were so cold condensation appeared! Drinks were always cold. The ice replacement partially melted. Every night around 6PM I would empty my backpack at the house and drinks and ice and all contents were still cold. Love this backpack. This is just normal use, no tests, no thermometers. BTW I saw this bags review from someone who used it a Disney World I can totally see myself taking this to themeparks, cruises, etc. awesome. Cons: • The handle is a bit thin, I wish it was thicker or covered with plastic/foam of some sort. • I don’t like the waist belt and I don’t use it. Wish there was a way to remove it and reattach when I needed it. • Zippers aren’t waterproof, but they are close. The 4 minute river submersion only yielded a little bit of water (less than an ounce for sure.)
