Great buy
Was worried about the delivery arriving without damage but it was well-packed and arrived within three days from placing the order - without any damage. The delivery time was impressive, as I noticed many other screens like this wouldn't promise delivery for at least a week or much longer. Was very simple to put up with two screws, but after thinking about it twice decided to put in more solid wall mounts to hold it up securely (didn't want to take the chance that it would fall down on someone's head later on!). It's not "that" heavy but don't want it falling anyway. Thus, took another 20 minutes or so to drill holes to put in very secure screws that will hold it nicely. Motor is quiet and smooth. Works as advertised. The electric cable hangs off the right-hand side of the screen and there's a control box which is a little awkwardly -placed about in the middle of the screen when it hangs, so ideally I'd make that cord longer so it's easier to hide. Nonetheless, for this price you can't be too choosy. The remote is simple to use (up, down, stop). The screen and material backing seems very high-quality, thick material. The screen itself has a few small creases in it from being rolled up I assume but these are not noticeable when viewing video (which is what really matters). The 16x9 at this size was hard to find at a low price point, but this does the trick. Not sure how this screen will do over time, but at least for now it's doing very well. Very impressed.

Very satisfied, but one small issue.
I moved the position of my projector a bit and, as such, had to change out my 100" screen for this 110". The edges of the canvas curl inward just a touch, but not so much that it meaningfully distorts the image (the curl is most prevalent on the black border- by the time it gets to the screen it has almost completely smoothed out.) I get the sense that this is an issue that might differ from screen to screen, so I wouldn't be surprised if others don't have this issue. That said, it's not severe enough to dock a point. I haven't timed it exactly but I'd say the screen goes down and up in just under 30 seconds, and seems a bit faster than the previous 100" I owned of the same brand. Not much, but it does seem maybe 2-3 seconds quicker going up and down. From what I can tell, this screen is nearly identical (or perhaps entirely identical) in terms of the quality of image you'd get compared to the brand names that are offered at two or three times the price. If you're concerned about image quality, don't be. I've seen some of the other projector screens in action and this one is at least as good as the others, and is vastly superior to projecting the image on a wall or a sheet.

My favorite purchase
I absolutely love this product. I haven't had any issues that the other customers mentioned. Even the so called smell wasn't a big deal. As one person stated, just leave it down overnight and the smell will dissipate. But, if you don't mind a new car scent, this shouldn't bother you. The remote works great. The screen was easy to install and the picture looks so clear. I use an optoma projector and with the screen, the picture looks like a HDTV screen on my wall. Compared to other brands, this screen is awesome for the price. Get this screen guys!!

Great, low cost screen. Will probably show up with a dent.
Update 10/23/15: These have worked out so well for me that I have bought my third one; this one is for work. Third time was the charm -- this one even showed up without any dents in the casing. The one in use at home continues to work great. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can't beat it for the bang for the buck price. I have bought two of these over the last 3 years. Both have worked well and the screen quality and resulting picture quality have been very good. The screen arrived well packed but it is not double walled or double boxed. Both screens I have purchased during the last 3 years have had minor bends/dents in the outside casing. The sheet metal is thin. I view this as good because it is light. The bad part of that is that it is subject to being more easily damaged during handling/shipping. In neither case did the bend/dent cause the screen not to operate. Also, the damage has not been offensively bad from a aethestics standpoint. If you buy this screen though, you should know that there is a high probability it will show up with minor physical damage to the outside case. If cost is more critical to you then a dent in the case, then buy it. It works well and it's hard to beat having a huge, motorized screen sent directly to your house for this price. I would buy it again without hesitation but with the knowledge that I'm rolling the dice a bit on shipping damage. My 5 stars is based on the $ value of what you get vs. other options. If this screen cost 2x to 3x more, then it would be 4 stars in my view.

Thrilled with it!
I have owned this screen for a while but we just got time to hang it after Christmas. It was super simple to hang (you need two people, a drill bit, two screws, and a screw bit for your drill, and in our case, a tape measure to center over a window.) We were fortunate to have a white shelf above the window, that stuck out about 6" beyond the window and we hung it on the front of the shelf edge. You could also easily hang it from the ceiling. The case blended right in. You honestly do not notice it at all when the screen is not being used. We got the electric one with the remote. The sensor hangs down on the right side,(the little red dot in the photo to the right of the screen) which was close to an outlet on the top of my fireplace. We hid the cord behind a drape but it could have been mounted on the outside of the window frame. It comes down perfectly and goes back up perfectly. In We included the photo so you can compare it to our 55" TV next to it. We have already had a group of friends over to watch a game. It was just like being there!

Excellent screen at a great price
This screen is a bargain - huge, economical, and provides an excellent image. I use it in conjunction with my Optoma HD141X projector and the images are extremely sharp and vivid. I provided a few pictures that show how I mounted it to the ceiling and some scene captures from a movie. The one initial drawback is the smell. You have to leave it down and air it out for a while - not very fragrant, that's for sure. I hide the wired control behind a curtain which is by the electrical outlet, so you can't see it. It comes with a wireless remote control, which is extremely convenient. The screen is not a lightweight - it's very good quality and looks like it will be able to withstand years of use without a problem - as long as you don't abuse it, of course. It was extremely well packaged and arrived in excellent condition - it does come in a very long box, so be careful moving it around so that you don't wind up knocking something down. For the price, it just can't be beat. Excellent screen.

Awesome motorized screen: easy to install, quiet, and no issues so far
I've had this projector hung up on the ceiling for a few months now - waiting to finish out the rest of my new theater room - and have been using it for the last couple of months. This is an awesome screen, and I'm more than happy with it for the price. I have no idea what the "correct" way of hanging this is, but I ended up buying a couple of heavy duty drywall screws, simple fisheye hooks, as well as a couple of carabiners from Home Depot. Make sure to buy supplies appropriate for the weight - I got supplies that were more heavy duty than necessary just to make sure that this thing would stay put. There are some triangle hooks at the top of the screen that can be used for hanging; the supplies I bought provided the perfect distance from the ceiling, so installation was extremely straightforward. The motorized screen is an awesome touch. There are two ways to control the screen: a remote control and a wired controller with about 5 feet of length to it. I ended up mounting the wired remote to the wall (the necessary hardware to to this is included) and just use that. Since the screen is in a dedicated "movie room," the screen is down nearly all of the time. However, the motor is nice and quiet and hasn't caused any trouble yet. It takes 20-30 seconds to get the screen fully retracted or fully deployed. In terms of "waves" in the screen (which I saw some people complained about), they are definitely there. At least on the screen I received, they're quite noticeable in a very well-lit room without the projector on (see the included picture). However, with the projector on they're not noticeable and don't cause any trouble with the video quality. Even with the lights all the way up, they're not visible with the projector on. Some people may be bothered by this, but since it isn't noticeable when the screen is actually in use and doesn't cause any performance issues, I don't really care. The screen is nice and sturdy and stays put when deployed - even in my case where it's mounted directly below a central air vent. Overall, I'm super happy with this screen and would definitely recommend it, especially if you're planning on installing a projector set up in a place you want to be able to hide the screen. This is by far the cheapest option compared to many of the other screens - especially motorized ones - that I saw. Time will tell with respect to the durability of the motor, but thus far I haven't had any issues.

Very easy to install, no imperfections, and operates quietly and smoothly!
I was thoroughly impressed with this motorized 110" projector screen, especially at the price that I paid. It was promptly shipped via Fed Ex and arrived carefully packaged in a few days. There was absolutely no damage to the screen and no blemishes or flaws once it was opened . Very easy to install and operates quietly and smoothly. Installation instructions very basic and could be more detailed. I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great screen. Since the installation instructions were rather poor, I documented my installation procedure. I hope this helps! Homegear 110" Motorized Projector Screen Installation 1. Installed by using the keyhole slots located 3/8" from right side and 103 7/8" on center , 1" below the ceiling 2. Installed the control box so that screen bottom bar clears the left side of the box 3. Reversed the power & control electrical cords into the box for an unobstructed route to the power outlet. Excess control cord tucked away behind the screen housing. (Popped the back plate off the control box with pen knife under the sides) 4. Adjusted parking position up by 1" by turning upper (white) Allen adjustment screw (4mm Allen head key) clockwise. Upper (white) and lower (red) parking positions are controlled by Allen screws hidden on the right side (Power Side). Use a mirror to see them and feel their position to insert the Allen key.
