Far Exceeds Expectations

This drip irrigation system far exceeded my expectations. I ran it from my hose bib on the side of my house to a second floor balcony. I have five boston fern hanging baskets that are difficult to reach because of the balcony height. This was not a 20 minute install, as I had to run the hose in a way that I could hide it along my downspout up to the second floor. Then, I ran it along the top of the beam where my hanging baskets are hooked. I bought a kit with extra elbows, so I had enough to make all of the angle cuts. I set the system timer to go on once a day for 15 minutes. Because of the size of the baskets, I used two drip heads for each basket. When I finished installing (about two hours later - lots of up and down on a ladder), I turned the system to manual to test. No water came out! I called the number on the directions, and an actual person answered the phone and went through the trouble-shooting with me. Turns out I had a kink in the line along the downspout. The customer service rep even gave me a direct phone number to call him back. Once I fixed the kink, the system works great. The ferns are thriving, and I can travel on weekends without worrying my ferns will die in the excessive Georgia heat. I wish I knew about this option years ago. I liked it so much, I bought another kit to use on my front porch pots.

Set and forget, plants love it

I love this kit! It took me about an hour or two to completely install all my tubing into my porch, but the results speak for themselves. I run it at about 5-15 minutes, 2x a day, at 8am and 8PM during the summer. My plants LOVE it. I also use a Miracle-Grow LiquaFeed universal system inline with the drip system and manually run that once every two weeks for about 5 minutes to kick my plants into hyper growth. This will be the second summer I use the kit on and I am still using the same batteries.

Easy to install, and working nicely.

I was somewhat hesitant to order this product at the beginning. Although reviews were generally positive, I wasn't sure it would fit my scenario exactly. I have a hose bib at the side of the house and I wanted to run a line around to the front, up a pillar, down to a hanging basket, across to the second pillar, and into a second hanging basket and a container down low. Using this kit I was able to accomplish it flawlessly! I wasn't sure how long installation would take, but I was done my little project in about 30 minutes. The hose cut easily and the attachments installed without trouble. I used some two prong metal stakes to keep the hose secured to the ground (left over from my weed guard) and that worked great to feed the line to the columns. Although I wish the timer was digital with specific timings instead of the hokey reset the system at the specific time of day you want as your baseline, this is a minor complaint. Fittings are nicely done and I've had no leaks anywhere. Of course, you have to validate your purchase on results. My baskets this year are larger and healthier than they have ever been. I don't have to rely on my wife to water them when I travel (she'll forget most of the time). Just that alone was worth the cost! Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

Never worry about watering issues again!!

This product really works! I read ALOT of reviews before deciding on this product. I have 9 planter grow boxes and used 19 of the drippers (some containers had 1, 2, or 3 drippers per). Set up took longer than directions said (no big deal), but was sooooo easy! (Tip : definitely leave the tubing out in the sun to soften). Also, it's MUCH easier to assemble with fewer errors if you arrange your containers beforehand. DO NOT start randomly cutting tubing until you know your layout. The timer works great (Another tip : I read it may not hold up well in rainy weather, so I cut a ziploc baggy to fit around it and clipped it shut) and the manual watering and rain delay capabilities are awesome. I don't have any idea if my water source has a high or low psi, so I just proactively purchased the Raindrip psi regulator (all my drippers drip and drip consistently with it attached to the timer) so you may wanna consider that purchase too (it leaks a little, but the package clearly states it may or may not leak LOL) I am by no means an expert, but I read enough sh*t about drip irrigation for containers that I will definitely recommend it and if for some reason it fails, I would have no issues buying again because of good price and ease of install (all you need is scissors!!) I installed the Raindrip system before we left for our cabin for two weeks. Instead of relying on friends or family to water our hanging and potted plant on our deck I decided to try this system. It works perfectly. I set it for 30 minutes each day in the morning. When we got back from our cabin, to my relief, all the plants were thriving and beautiful. This also frees me up from watering them myself everyday. I also bought the water pressure regulator which maintains a 25psi, which was advised in a youtube video. That too was most helpful. For the record, I am an real customer and this is not an advertisement from Raindrip. Unlike so many other things in this world, this item does what it says it will. I'm very pleased. Just like having a nursery setup!!!

I LOVE this rain-drip system.....I wanted to install something to make watering my container garden pants while on vacation a success so ordered two of theses systems - one for the front container gardens and ones for the back of the house containers. They install easily and you can customize to where and how you have your containers positioned. I set my timer to come on in the early morning hours so the possibility of scorching hot water does not kill the plants when the black tubing is exposed to the all day HOT Virginia sun! The timer comes with an override "manual" mode so I can turn on if additional watering is needed. Because it has been so hot here in VA - I set mine to come on daily for 1 hour and that seems to be just right. In my larger containers I put two drip sticks. The directions explain this all as well. Did I day I LOVE this drip system!!!!

Saved my potted flowers!!

We live at altitude so the sun plays havoc with our flowers. I would get excited about having flowers and would water them in the morning soon after planting them. As the season progressed, I became less enthused and would water sporadically resulting in cooked plants. A Parks and Rec guy that I work with recommended these systems to me. I was sold when he mentioned how easy they were to install (and how inexpensive too.) I have purchased two sets: one for my front barrels and another for the back deck pots. Awesome! Set them and let them do the work. Our flowers have thrived throughout our dry summer. I tell everyone who comments on the flowers about this product. Where has this been all my life!!

A gentle turn

This kit is awesome, waters all the plants, if you just turn the hose on a 1/4 you know like less than half then you don't need to buy the pressure regulator with this, I have the hose connection on a trickle and it works slick, plants always have damp soil

Very Efficient

This is my second kit. I know these say they are for hanging gardens, but someone else said they used them for their yard and sense I don't have that many plants that I need watered in my yard, I have one that does my left yard and now one that does my right yard. It works so well. Especially because the two yards get different amounts of light and need different watering schedules. I love this watering system. It has been so dependable for me and my plants have absolutely thrived with it. Then too, living in the desert the water bill can be outrageously high if you aren't careful, but with this system my water bill is kept to a minimum.

Great Product and the flowers look great

Great product. Was a bit worried about the quality based on the price. The unit runs off of two AA batteries housed in the valve box. The setup is fairly straight forward and can be as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. If you have a lot of plants that need watering and want everything to be hidden then it is going to take more time than just running the lines out in the open. . . Only complaint is that they only give you 2-90° elbows, in my setup additional elbows would have been nice. They provide plenty of watering heads and tees but just 2 elbows. So if you are planning on getting this might want to grab some extra connection parts, or map out your layout to know what connections you need.
