Just What I Needed
When we moved into our house, the previous homeowner had taped off the home's doorbell since something went amiss with the electrical wiring of the one that was installed. For months, we didn't have a working doorbell, and we had to endure loud knocks on our door. I wanted to get this fixed ASAP, and had an electrician initially give me a quote to get the wiring back up to snuff, but I didn't want to spend the $140+ that he priced for the fix, so I found this SadoTech wireless doorbell on amazon, and it solved my problem at a small fraction of the cost. I was impressed that this doorbell comes in various colors, and at a little over $20 (I purchased the white one), I felt like a genius seeking out this solution to my lack of doorbell issue. I have an awning over my front door, so I can't speak to the longevity of this item if left out to fend the weather without any protection, but ever since we installed it months ago, it is still in tip-top shape, and the sound is very effective and just what we needed. I couldn't be happier with this product!

Great buy at a great price!
I read both good and bad reviews about this product. Unfortunately, I read good and bad about every single of the many wireless doorbell options available and I had to get one. This product had a better good to bad ratio on reviews, so I bought it. Very reasonable price too. My home's original doorbell is old and pathetic, and I just moved my home business into a remodeled basement where I couldn't hear the doorbell at all. I have one button on the front door with a doorbell unit upstairs and one downstairs. When the button is pushed, they both ring. I have the option of tow different sounds if I so choose. There are some silly song sounds that some may like, and although I wouldn't mind more bell/ringer choices (variety wise), there are many to choose from. There are also four volume options. I have found that the third highest is easily loud enough. My home is not very large (about 1400 square feet), and both bells are about halfway across the house from the front door, and reception does not seem to be an issue. Some people have said in reviews that they had less performance after a short time, but I have had this setup for a few months and it has been working fine.

Seconds to install - fantastic product
I bought this door bell because my door bell died and I could not for the life of me figure out where the actual chime box for the original door bell even is in this house....of course moments after I bought the new bell my husband pointed it out to me (DOH!). No matter. I'm not an electrician, nor do I want to monkey around with the chime box or buy a volt meter to diagnose it's problem. Whateve's I knew I could just click one button on Amazon and have a crazy easy solution to my broken doorbell problem (both bells are not working, hence the conclusion that the problem is in the chime box) ANYWAY, I did my one click shopping and shazam, two days later the new bell is on my doorstep. I even used the old screw that already had the anchors drilled into my brick exterior. Both screws did not line up to my former classic doorbell, but it's so tight that bell isn't going anywhere. The box came with 2 plug in chimes. I tested it on a plug closest to the front door first and it was nice and loud...though apparently I can change the chime, I'm not picky. Then I took the plug up to the second floor to plug it in there to see if the radio signal would work. In case you think that's crazy this is an extremely old house....like 150 yrs old with 10 inch brick exterior walls and very thick plaster inner walls. Even our doors are solid wood. I don't even get cell phone signals unless I'm standing next to a window, so I was a bit concerned. No matter where I put the chime it worked. So I have one plugged in near the back of the house (near the television and kitchen fan noise) and one plugged in at the 2nd floor landing. All of this took mere seconds. I'm sure it will take me longer to find the wire cutters to disconnect the old door bell.

Great for use as elderly call button.
This is my first ever product review, but I think it is important to share how well this door bell has worked as a call button for my 94 year old mom and me. We live in a rather large house and I go outside alot ( so the portable unit is very useful) . With this door bell she can let me know if she needs help. I have finally been able to get some sleep at night.!! She is very frail and speaks very softly, and she also listens to th t.v. at a super high volume, so the baby monitor did not work....I heard the t.v. all night and not her. The bell sound is very , very loud and clear. The button is a good size and to put on a string, so she wear it around her neck, and it helps it not get lost in the sofa cushions. Both the button and bell units are a good quality plastic an feel well made. I hope this helps someone that does not want a monitor sevice, but needs a call button.

Perfect doorbell. Great price. Buy it!
Perfect for our needs. For a few dollars more I got the model with dual doorbell receivers and one doorbell button. Arrived in two days (Prime). The chime receivers are smaller than anticipated but are plenty loud. They plug in so I do not need to worry about replacing batteries, but does limit where you can put them. Our house is two stories and my home office is upstairs in the far bedroom. I was going to put one in my office but found the unit I put in the livingroom, near the front door was easily heard in my office. Plus it can be heard by the person ringing the doorbell - I hate it when I ring a doorbell and do not hear it... then stand there wondering did it ring, is it broken, should I ring it again? I put the second receiver in our family room/media room. We watch a lot of movies on our big screen with volume fairly loud. With the second ringer in that room, we can now hear if someone is at the front door. I had everything hooked up within 5 minutes of opening the box. The front door button comes with a battery, just pull the tab and it activates. You can use the double sided sticky tape included or drill holes and use the screws and anchors included. I used the sticky tape and placed the doorbell on a rough wood frame just to the right of my front door. It stuck very firmly. I have a covered entry, so am not concerned with it getting wet. Setting the ring tone took the longest. My wife and I cycled through all 50 tones before settling for ring #2. A standard doorbell sound. If you unplug the receiver, it defaults back to the first ring tone - a standard ring. Same happens if you have a power failure. So if you picked ring #37, you would have to cycle through all the rings to get to #37. Inconvenient but not devastating. Going with ring #2 keeps it simple. The range seems very good. The signal reaches our family room which is in the back of our house and has to travel through a couple walls. The doorbell button is attractive - high-tech looking, unlike many others I looked at. I don't know why these wireless doorbell designers don't put more thought into the button. After all, it is part of the decoration of your home, just like a porch light or door knob. This is one of the better-looking buttons out there. The receivers are also nice looking. Like I said, much smaller than I thought. I was able to plug into the top receptacle and still use the bottom receptacle to plug in something else - although, it is a tight fit, so depends on the size of the plug you are using. Pros: Very easy to set-up and get it working. Nice looking. Loud (has 3 settings). Lot of ring tunes to choose from. Small. Excellent price. Cons: Have to cycle through 50 tunes. Does not have memory to remember your tune selection in the event of unplug or power failure. Battery in the doorbell button is not AAA and will have to be purchased on Amazon or local store when the time comes. NO - I DID NOT RECEIVE THIS AT A DISCOUNT OR FOR FREE TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. I PAID FULL PRICE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. I AM DISAPPOINTED IN AMAZON REVIEWS LATELY BECAUSE MOST REVIEWS ON THE FIRST PAGE ARE FROM PEOPLE THAT WERE GIVEN THE ITEM FOR FREE OR AT DISCOUNT IN RETURN FOR A REVIEW. AMAZON SHOULD HAVE A DEDICATED SECTION FOR THESE PAID REVIEWS.

Delightful !!!
We're so impressed with this product and purchased the same for my daughter as a birthday gift and set it up to play Happy Birthday when she plugged it in. It was a big hit, especially with she and my 7 year old granddaughter. Prior to purchasing one for our home we'd searched and searched for a multi-tune doorbell and none of the 'super-stores' had a bell that even came close to this one. The prices were off the wall for junk with only a choice of 1 to 3 tones that were the old run of the mill that great grandma had. This product is delightful !! Their design, operation and ease of installation is head and shoulders over the junk that's on the market. Thank you so much for a great product line. We plan on purchasing the Ace-Point 2-in-1 Wireless Doorbell Motion Sensor Night Light Series, Plug-in Wireless Door bell w/ LED Night Light Function, Long Operating Range on Amazon at a later date for the rear and side doors...absolutely a Brilliant Concept !! Thank you Sado Tech!!

doorbell heaven adjacent
I've been in doorbell hell for a year and have, at last, found heaven, or something fairly close. I've been to hardware stores and online, and asked neighbors, yet have not been able to find a decent selection of bells with the configuration I need that gets good reviews. Very frustrating. I've bought three kits and two weren't worth the packaging they came in. One worked for about a week and one had to have a new battery EVERY SINGLE DAY! So it was with skepticism I ordered this but I liked that it was modular/expandable and had good reviews, and I'm so glad I did. It feels great to have a reliable bell system again. There are fifty ring tones but you have to cycle through all of them which can be a pain but there's volume settings on each receiver, which is great, and fairly unique. I wish I'd known this was only weather-resistant. What sense does that make? If I do anything I'll probably get the weatherproof transmitter. Otherwise very happy, confident I'll know when there's someone at the door. You get double-sided tape as well as a bracket and screws, in case you decide to commit.

Amazing customer service
The original installation was a piece of cake and the unit worked great. In terms of operation, the chimes are nice and loud, but you can adjust the volume lower if you like. It offers 50 different tones, some of which are kind of fun but most are just annoying. I stuck with the basic DING dong. Unfortunately, I then had an issue with the battery-operated receiver. It stopped working and wouldn't pair with the transmitter (button). I figured I was out of luck, but contacted the manufacturer at their website. Holy cow! The customer service was amazing. They asked me to verify that I had done the pairing process correctly. I had. So they asked me to mail them my unit so they could check it out and see if there's some technical improvement they could make. Of course, it worked fine when they got it. Isn't that the way things always go? But they said the would send me a brand new one anyway! That's impressive.

What's Not to Like?
We needed an expandable doorbell system to replace an old hard-wired doorbell, and it had to cover two floors so the doorbell could be heard throughout our home. Ease of installation was important to us. We found exactly what we were looking for in the Sado Tech system. The hardest part of the installation was figuring out that the GFI circuit I was using to pair the receivers had tripped somehow, and it had to be reset so the outlet had power. Pairing (once there was electricity) was very simple. Finding the chime we wanted was simple (though it would be nice if you didn't have to scroll all the way through to get back to the beginning), and once all four receivers were paired (we bought two extra receivers), we simply plugged them into outlets in the desired locations throughout our home, and voila! C'est fini! It does exactly what we wanted, was painless to set up and install, and was reasonably priced. I am still waiting for the catch, but none so far. Why aren't more products like this? This is far superior to some doorbell systems we have purchased in the past from the local hardware store. Buy without fear.
