Tailbone pain no more! 5 Stars!

I work at home and I'm at my desk for about 10 hrs a day. Yeah I know, not good for my health. Anyway, I was experiencing some pain in my tailbone from prolonged sitting. Within 2 days of using this, the pain stopped - absolutely no more pain since. I've been using this for a year now and its maintained it shape and thickness. I would highly recommend this to anyone with tailbone pain. My son worked for a medical supply store and had gotten me anther cushion for my home computer - it doesn't even compare to this one. 5 stars all the way!

I love this product

I love this product. It allows you to sit comfortably without you spine going flat on the seat. I can ride long distances and still walk comfortably when I leave the car. I also use it when I watch TV at night. Love it!

It's very comfortable and has the right amount of give

I drive 17 hours to visit family and I don't think I could do it without this. It's very comfortable and has the right amount of give. It's one of the best prices for something that doesn't feel cheap at all. One thing to think about: It's fairly tall, and depending on your car and your height, it might have your head brushing the ceiling. I'm only 5'4", so it wasn't too big of a problem, but your mileage may vary if you're another foot taller than I am (and if your height is in your torso)

Aug. 2016 - I purchased "TravelMate Coccyx Orthopedic Gel-enhanced (Medium-Firm) Comfort Foam Seat Cushion (Gray)" last month for my back when I drive my SUV - Honda Pilot - 2013 model. I drive my car continuously for 4-8 hours straight 5-6 days a week and having the Travelmate was an eye-opener. My back pain 80% less and I do get sore when I get out of the car but within a few minutes the soreness is gone.it very comfortable.. I am also buying one for my office chair.. You won't regret it..

When I fractured my tailbone and hip last year sitting became a real problem. I purchased this seat for traveling in the car and it's been to FL On a cruise; To Hawaii; and to Mexico and the Southwest with me.I even take it in with me to wait in offices where I know the seats are hard and the wait will be extended, as it stays in my driver's seat. I have another in my chair at home and at my home desk and sewing room. This has made my quality of life so much better. Very good quality materials, stands up to heavy use, light weight and has a handy handle on the side to carry it.

Loved both right outta the box

Just received the 2 pads 1 day early. Loved both right outta the box. NO smell at all. Soft, 3" thick, carrying handle, zipper to take the material off to wash (I'll wash it on delicate & line dry), beautiful med dark grey color, No sewn on company logo (a small material tag is on the side & can be cut off), No defects in the cover (checked the inside & outside of the cover after unzipping the zipper which isn't one of those cheap crappy things) or in the pad itself. The V that sits to the front isn't intrusive (the pad cushion could be turned over if needed for some reason). The U area for the tailbone allowed me to sit straight, forward, AND leaning back. This cushion has a great price attached. I'll update my review after I've used the cushion in about a month, then 6 months, etc. ps. it's measured 17 1/2" across by 14" from the front to back, or at least ours are.

40+ hours on planes and still works!

Recently my husband and I traveled to Southern Africa and drove up to Swaziland, and then took a train from South Africa to Cape Town. I usually have pretty bad pain in my tailbone if I'm sitting longer than a couple hours, so for this trip we decided to give this cushion a shot. The cushion worked out perfectly! It fit plane seats and the blue gel material keeps it cool for a while. The only issue I had with it was the size. It's a little awkward to carry around unless you have a pack that has straps to secure it to your bag. I know people's back problems vary but it worked perfectly for me and the bulky-ness is worth being able to travel finally, tail-bone pain free!

Wish I had one for every chair in my home...

... instead of the one I place on every chair I sit on. I am surprised it has lasted so long without losing its cushiness. I have Spondylolisthesis at L5-S1 Grade 2-3. It is symptomatic, affecting my glutes and back of legs. This cushion is an absolute life-saver!!! I am not a candidate for surgery and have to adapt, be creative, and figure out how to manage my life with the condition.

I ordered three brands and tried them out - this was the winner for three people who tried it at my house!

I wasn't sure which cushion to get for my husband and a friend who wanted one, so I ended up ordering 3 different kinds. I tried all of them out, and this one won hands down when tested by my friend, by me, and by my husband. The others were just.. . not quite right, and I wasn't even willing to sit on them. My friend got to choose from between the TravelMate and another cushion I ordered, and she chose the TravelMate after trying both of them (I had ordered 2 of them). I used the TravelMate for 12 hours a day at the hospital in a hard chair to do work when my husband was in the hospital and I had to keep working at my job remotely. I would never have been able to sit for more than an hour without the cushion. My daughter used it and said it enabled her to work, too. Then a week ago, I injured by lower back, but had to drive someone to the airport. I forgot to put the TravelMate in the driver's seat--It was in the back of the car. About 2 hours into the drive, I could barely lift my leg up to brake, and was worried how I would get back home again with my back so injured and getting worse. It hurt so much from sitting to move at all!! I managed to get out of the car and get the TravelMate in the seat, and immediately felt relief in my back and legs from the new position. I was able to drive back home again, and I'm now sitting on my couch with the TravelMate BEHIND me as a back cushion. I know it's not intended for that, but it's just the right consistency to support my injured back. I cannot say enough good things about this coccyx cushion. I'm going to order another one so I have one in the car all the time. And because I ordered an additional two brands while I ordered this one (I'm not going to say which ones, but they have good reviews too), I feel that I can give a good "comparison" review. This cushion may not be for everyone, but three out of three in my group of family/friends picked the TravelMate as the best one when trying out the three brands and sitting on them.

Great for petite persons

I’ve tried at least seven of these brands / styles for my low back pain (i have five herniated discs, multiple annular tears, and a lot more injuries i won’t get into)!! I’m 5 feet 2 inches / 100 pounds and This is the first seat that worked as it should for me most of them are made for non-petite people, the smaller hole opening in this one was critical to support my body type post surgery
