- The MM300 multimeter measures AC/DC voltage, DC current and resistance and has a safety rating of CAT III 600V, Class 2, Double insulation
- The NCVT-1 has a bright green LED to indicate the tester is working; it changes to red and warning tones sound when voltage is detected
- NCVT-1 has a digitally-controlled ON/OFF power button and auto power-off feature to conserve and extend battery life
- Receptacle tester detects wiring configurations and indicates correct wiring, and identifies common wiring faults
- Identifies open ground, open hot, open neutral, hot/ground reversed; it does not indicate quality of ground, multiple hot wires, or a combination of defects

A must have for homeowners
This was one of the first things I bought when recently moving in my house and I'm glad it was. The three different applications all come in handy. One thing is if the NCVT reads hot, I believe it but if it's not I double check with the volt meter (never can be too safe). If you're not electricity educated like me I highly recommend watching some videos on youtube about the voltmeter. The main setting you'll you in your home is the V with the ~ above it at 200, haven't used any of the other settings.

Great quality
Great unit. Been through three (two Southwire and one Craftsman) that all broke within two weeks. Sometimes you gotta spend a little extra for quality; shouldn't have wasted my money and time on cheaper ones. 'Nuff said.

Nice kit with three items
Nice kit with three items. Good price. This replaces my 30 plus year old fluke meter that has become difficult to read and use. I am not a professional electrician, just a diy home mechanic and handyman. My two grandsons had a blast finding energized items with the "pencil", and then validating the wiring on all of the outlets around our house. Next they got a lesson on measuring voltage on batteries. Now they are creating their own "cells" wth dissimilar metal strips and different electrolytes. This has become quite a science project. When a second grader measures 1.6 volts on a battery, then observes that two batteries in series can give 3.2 volts, then predicting voltage for a long series of batteries (and then measuring), they have to deal with decimal equivalents and fractions. In this case they figured it out experimentally. When the subject is taught in school, they will already have the concept grounded in reality, not just theory.

Solid little kit in my opion. Very high quality
I like this little kit. The meter is very high quality. I was coming from a harbor freight one. The rest of the kit is pretty vital too even for light electrical. If your thinking to buy some of the stuff seperately I say go for it

Great value for must have tools for safe DIY electrical work.
I really like the value of the items bundled. Quality is durable and works as advertised. Saved us some fees of having electricians or plumbers to tell us what was easy to know with this kit. Very easy to use.

Great bundle
I’ve used all of these tools several times already. It’s perfect for a DIYer around the house.

Nice gift!
Fast, easy to use. I bought this as a gift for a non-electrical minded person, and even she understood it all. Now, she has the basic knowledge and tools to fix stuff and a basic understanding of safety to do it correctly.

Great test set for a extremely reasonable price.
I had my 20-year-old meter destroyed by heat (left it in an un-cooled garage) and the display shot craps. I looked into just replacing the display but when it came down to it, I no longer need an expensive meter, and no longer need to spend $200 for one. The fact this kit also came with tools for some household electrical detection and testing was just a bonus. In the end, everything performs well, the meter is actually as good or better than the meter I bought all those years ago, and the detector better than my older ones. The circuit tester is great, and standard, but having extras is always handy since I can keep them in strategic locations. Since I just purchased this I don't know about longevity, but everything is solid and looks to be of good manufacture. I expect they will perform well for years to come, essentially making this purchase pay for itself in about 1 to 2 years time.
