For the money, this is a good catch pan. Feels very solid and doesn't flex when filled. Works great for cars or other vehicles where you have 4-6qts of oil to catch, leaving room for it to slosh without spilling while you carry it to the used oil tote. Good tool in the arsenal of a small garage or home shop. Good size to catch oil under diff housings also, but may be small for a trans pan unless you can for sure drop oil the oil off one corner of the pan or from a plug first.

Caught 6 quarts with a little room to spare, then conveniently poured it back in the empty 5 quart jug without dropping a single drop. Spout fit in the jug without a funnel and poured quickly. No muss, no fuss. A little brake cleaner to get the residual oil out and stuffed a little paper towel in the spout to absorb the residual oil so it doesn't drip out when storing. Good quality pan. I'm glad I bought it as it saves time and makes no mess in recycling the oil in another container. As another reviewer mentioned, have the spout end towards the direction you will pull the pan out from under the vehicle. If you don't, the oil will slosh to the rear as you slide it out from under the vehicle and the oil will come out through the spout, spilling on the floor.

Very well built and sturdy. I use it to change the oil in my 2004 Toyota Highlander V6. Its a breeze to complete oil changes and with the spout at the end it makes it even easier to properly discard the used oil back into 5 quart oil bottles to be recycled or disposed of.

I should have bought this years ago. Every time I would change my oil it would be an exercise in frustration to pour the used oil from the catch-pan back into a bottle for disposal. I'd always end up making a mess, seemingly getting half the oil on the ground and disposed via paper towels. Now with the Capri Tools catch pan it doesn't spill a drop and I can easily aim into a 2" opening without the use of a funnel. The lipped ring prevents sloshing spills and contains the oil to the spout when pouring. They truly put thought into this pan and it shows!

I just received the drain pan, and while I haven't had a chance to use it, it seems very well made and appears to be something that should last a very long time. The plastic is nice and thick, making the pan very rigid. It's shallow enough that it will easily fit underneath my motorcycle, and there's an inner "lip" around the perimeter of the top that should keep oil from easily sloshing out when moving or carrying the pan. All in all, happy I chose this.

My only caveat to this product is that it is a wide basin, making catchment easier, but it is easy to tip and spill, or overpour the spout and make a mess. Slow and steady wins the race. Great concept and product however, and will continue to use it.

This drain pan made changing my oil so much cleaner, no mess, no spill and most importantly when the time came to pour the oil into a container to dispose of (responsibly at a collection facility) I was able to pour it with great ease without any dripping.

This is much better then the closed containers/catch pans. this is really easy to just pour the oil into your now empty oil container after filling your car.

I wanted only one to support different height vehicles; so I gambled this would suit my needs. Neutral: Could not find accurate product dimensions (18.2 x 18.1 x 15.7 is wrong) so hope these help: - Overall size: 19 1/2” long (handle to spout) x 15 5/8” wide x 4 5/8” high - Inside size: 12 5/16” x 13 1/2” round x 3 7/8” high (based on spout opening) Pros: - Doesn’t flex or warp when filled with hot oil - Took five and half quarts of oil - Anti-splash lip and spout do make it easy to empty Cons: - Recommend stuffing spout with paper towel or rag for storage Overall: Very happy with this purchase; had very minimal splashing (a drop or two) outside container when changing oil on my SUV.

I've used a lot of oil pans through the years. Had the completely sealed ones with the little spout, rubbery pans that are simple vessels to catch dripping fluids, etc. Just used this one after purchasing it and it works great! The channels they built into it to control the oil to the spout when you are ready to dump it work great! And it's got more of a plasticky finish rather than a rubbery finish so clean up was just a few squirts of Simple Green and some paper towels followed by a quick spritz of water in the laundry tub. Great value. Great function. Highly recommended.
