I LOVE this set

I love this set of food. It’s made of good quality hard plastic, painted very well and so many pieces; it’s not that soft plastic that you can “indent” by pushing or squishing it. I know the description lists what all it comes with but I was amazed with what all it came with. All in total filled up one of the foldable containers that we store the food in. I recommend this to anyone! * I hope my review was helpful in your decision.

Awesome Play Set! Good Quality Too!

I was afraid to buy this product after reading some of the negative reviews, but I am so glad I took a chance. It is awesome quality! Good, strong, sturdy play good. No sharp edges. No cardboard boxes or cheap plastic. No kidcraft “stickers”. It’s the genuine kidcraft product. The ice cream fit the cones. The hot dogs snapped in place just fine. Yeah a couple pieces had a minor paint smudge but my granddaughter probably won’t notice that. My purchase was “used” from the Amazon wear house, but none of the four packages had ever been opened and the box was in perfect shape. We packaged the food in five ziplock bags: snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner, bag of fruit and veggies she knew, and bag of fruits and veggies she didn’t know. I let her play with one bagful at a time in her kitchen. When’s she’s bored with it, we trade for a different bag. I sure wouldn’t hesitate to buy it!

Awesome set of food for the price!!

This is a HUGE set of food for your play kichen or store. What I really like about this set is the attention to detail and the quality. The plastic used is hard, so it won't get "squished". There is a great variety of foods, from vegetables and fruits, to ice cream, chocolate, and even peanut butter and jelly. The stems on the fruits painted to make them more lifelike. The boxes and cartons are made out of plastic, so they won't fall apart. Condiments like salt and pepper and ketchup and mustard are included. (Sounds silly, but my grandson loves adding mustard to everything, including ice cream, lol.) I highly recommend this set, especially for the price. I bought a cheap basket with a handle at the Dollar Store to carry the food around in, and it works great. If you need a set of food, this is the one!

Can tell that the supplier and/or designer of these pretend play food - Loved FOOD/Loved Children:)..., detail was exceptional..., most of the products came in twos (no fighting:) attention to color and details was exceptionally nice..., cubes of butter is separate so your child can put a 'pat of butter' on waffles..., the corn ..., and/or other food products..., hardly no 'cardboard' items..., extremely nice and water proof ..., washable:) Group activity and learning to share with others..., definitely a 'complete set'..., in ONE PACKAGE:) The price was very reasonable..., the labels are put on already..., this toy is READY straight from the package and YEARS of enjoyment/very durably made...!!!!

Fun food and great for kids who are vegetarians!

This is a fabulous assortment of fake food! My grandkids (ages 2-1/2 and 6) will love it. Potato chips! Celery sticks! Asparagus! Sandwich stuff! There is a huge variety in this set. Since the kids are vegetarians, we'll call the burgers "veggie burgers" and same for the hot dogs. I only had to omit two chicken legs, so we're down to 113 pieces, which is still a lot of stuff. Most food sets are heavy on desserts, it seems, but this set has a huge variety, including plenty of treats and snacks. I'm very pleased with it and can't wait to play!

Huge Hit!

Huge hit with the kids. Bought this for my granddaughter who turned 2. She loves her grocery cart I got her at Christmas (came with cheap groceries she shredded within the first couple days) and she loves playing house. She got a Kitchen from her parents and this was a perfect addition. All the kids at the birthday party were playing with them. Good quality, good size and lots of them! Best bang for you buck! was 2 times the price at the learning store.

Best play food!

We had some different play food before, which was ok, but the boxed foods were paper boxes and the plastic was so thin, most of the food got squished over time. Since we were moving, I thought it was time to get rid of it all and get some new food! For $19 and this much food, I didn't expect too much, but the reviews were good, so I ordered this. Wow! This food is amazing and my twins love the variety! So many kinds, sturdy plastic and no paper boxes! I love that there are duplicates of most of the food, so it's good for siblings or friends. There's only one hamburger and one PB&J, but they take turns. All of the food is so colorful and I know this set will last!

So. Many. Pieces ...

This thing says 115 pieces, but I'm sure these toys multiply in the box and at their play kitchen and throughout the rest of the house during the middle of the night when the rest of us are sleeping. I am forever finding play food parts everywhere! There will be no shortage of ingredients if you choose this set. I did have to purchase separate storage bins for all of the pieces, and I am glad I had the foresight to do that. This set arrives in a plastic bag only. It is tricky enough to wrangle all these pieces back to the kid's play kitchen, without a dedicated storage bin for it that would truly be a challenge.

Imperfect but perfect for pretend play

Prior to purchase, I read reviews stating how the plastic was thin and the food was tiny. I was worried about the play food not reaching expectations. I’m pleased I proceeded with the purchase! The food is not tiny. It IS meant for the small hands of children and thus is not “life sized”. I think the sizing is perfect for play. The plastic is fairly durable. Some items like the round oranges or bottles are a little thinner but I’m not expecting these toys to last forever. There were some marks and imperfections on pieces of food but I didn’t care because this is pretend food for my little kids. It’s getting played with and tossed around. Summed up, so happy with this purchase! Perfect food for play.

Happy with the product

I saw other reviews but I did not face issues like mold, bad description etc. I am really happy with this product. I bought this for my 2 and half year kid and she enjoys playing with it. This is a good learning toy for her and now she tells almost all the names of pieces. I am happy to get what I expected. It matched the description I saw. This is not made with cheap plastic which gets dent easily and the color, and make looks good quality. A lot of pieces are strong and sturdy but few pieces are not which gets dent with some what hard press. One of the issue I have is burger pieces. If they can re-design it so that kids can stack the burger items without falling it will be good.
