Great tool at a great price.
Worked great for my needs. I've never hung drywall before so it was a bit ambitious to start with a ceiling project, but this made it easy. It arrived a little dirty/dusty from manufacturing, but all components fit together well and it functioned as expected. It was the same price as renting a lift for a weekend. The only disadvantage is that it is heavy and bulky and can be challenging to store after use.

Way better than expected
Bought this cheaper than i could rent a lift for the weekend. Finished the ceilings of (2)of my rentals, 1500sq ft basements with it. Was easy to use and worked like a charm. After all that use however it is starting to show a little wear and tear on the leveling arm (drywall is no longer lying flat but at a slight angle) . But still works just fine.

Astonishing
There are no words. If you need to Sheetrock a ceiling, but this! It's the best price --- I've looked. It's bulky for storage, but believe me, you and your friends helping you will thank you. The only alternative is to have 2-3 friends on ladders trying to support a sheet while you go around drilling it into place. You can get it tight against the rafters and tightly in place next to corners and other sheets of drywall. I had to redo my living room and it's great.

Steal of a Deal
This is a great tool, especially for the money. The price is almost too good to be true. No more hoisting drywall panels with my head and a T made from a 2x4. My local discount tool "warehouse" has almost the same lift for $100 more. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with any instructions at all, but it's easy to figure out when you look at the picture.

Great Tool!
12/24/16 - UPDATE. Although I don't hang a ton of drywall, this thing has proven extremely useful. It is still working well, and the number of projects I've used it on have justified the purchase. A great piece of equipment. *** I've hung a fair amount of ceiling drywall with sheets on my head, balanced precariously on a ladder, so this was a welcome piece of equipment! Although one part of the lift arrived broken (the knob to release the tripod legs), it works just fine. Assembly was easy. Note that this is a very heavy piece of equipment. Once disassembled, it is a more manageable/storable 3 pieces. Operation is simple, and positioning of ceiling sections with cutouts (for electrical boxes) is easy with this lift holding all the weight! You can also shift around the drywall and tilt up a corner or edge to get it into position on tight fits. Very nice. Im a bit worried about the long term reliability of the friction brake, but only time will tell.

It completely knocks down for easy storage. If I had to pick one thing ...
You cannot beat this lift for the price. I bought it to drywall my garage and I had it knocked out in short order working by myself. I had planned to sell it when I was finished with the project, but since it cost so little, I'm just going to hang on to it. It completely knocks down for easy storage. If I had to pick one thing that I did not like; it's the lower quality rubber pieces on the support arms of the lift. They are soft and they don't mar, but they do leave black skid marks on your drywall. No big deal if you are painting your drywall... so, only a minor gripe.

11 ft. Heavy Duty Drywall and Panel Lifter
If you are someone that enjoys doing repairs or remodeling type work or installs 4x8' panels on ceilings and walls as a professional, then this is a tool you will want to have. Redoing the ceiling in the den, study or living room to add recessed lights etc. will be a lot easier with this lifter. I was able to replace some ceiling panels in an outdoor patio area with just the helping hand of my spouse. See attache photos. The lifter is very easy to assemble and use, and is made from sturdy construction. The shipping box weighed in at 93 lbs. The tripod base allows for easy positioning and the three wheels have individual lock down brakes. The manual crank and brake are easy to operate and will hold the lifted panel in place while you secure it. I was able to save big $$$$ in labor costs by having this tool and doing the rest myself. One note: the rubber products on this product had a very strong chemical type smell when initially unpacked and assembled. Recommend assembling and storing in ventilated area.

GypTool 11 ft Heavy Duty Drywall Lifter . Fast delivery , boxes in good condition , very reasonable prices .
I placed order for Gyptool 11 ft Heavy Duty Drywall Lifter Panel on April 21-16 My order shipped on April 22 - 16 . I received my order on April 28 - 16 . The box size 53" x 22" x 9 " . The entire of the this box looking very good when UPS bring it to my door , the plastic strap is tight , all sides are smooth and fresh . I cut the strap and open the box ( double boxes that why it is very strong ) I checked every single parts , all are looking good , no sign of damaged , but it does has so bad smell of chemical (? ) I leave the box opened for three days and the smell gone . Because I need to do more reseaching before I start my drywall ceiling , so I m not hurry to do assembly for this lift , Everything still in the box and it is ready for my job in anytime I want it . I went to Harbor Freight and look at the demo Drywall Lifter , I see it is exactly with the Gyptool but the price is more expensive + Tax . There is no doubt about this product . I m very happy with my order . If some one need to buy it , please don't be hesitation , you can finished drywall jobs by yourself with just little money for the tools !

Great Product
I needed this to install a ceiling in a small garage,It was just what I needed. It worked perfect and the price was right. I don't know the brand that was in our local stores, but they were over a $100.00 higher. The lift cable needs to be guided on pulley while lifting to keep from damaging the cable was the only problem I had. This does not take away anything from the lift and I would recommend it for small jobs, I installed 1/2 " 8ft sheetrock.

The tool itself is awesome. Easy to assemble
There are some reviews on this list complaining about the packaging or having a paint chip. Let's get real, it's a tool. Tolls get banged up, scratched and dented. The tool itself is awesome. Easy to assemble, easy to use, easy to store. I used to use the 2x4 T method. What a pain. One person can handle 4x8 1/2 inch drywall all day by themselves with this. As worn ant till worth moving parts, maintenance is needed every so often. A little lube one in a while keeps it working great. For a semi-pro, about 400 tpe 500 sheets a year, it works great!
