Since discovering Bernat blanket yarn I don't use anything else. It doesn't shed fibers or make you sneeze. It's very soft and machine washable and dryer safe.It works up quickly and I have even used two strands on large needles to make beautiful chunky knit blankets. Comes in many beautiful colors.

Love this yarn. It is so nice to work with. Most other yarns leave my hands feeling dry and irritated. This is so soft that it doesn't have that effect. I have given several away as gifts for housewarming or other occasion and those on the receiving end are so pleased with their gift. Creates a modern looking afghan. I use a 12mm crochet hook and it makes a beautiful......not to dense.....afghan.

As much as this yarn is advertised for baby blankets, it can do so much more. I've made many throws and toss pillows for friends (and myself) and enjoy the feel of it, especially while reading or watching TV on a chilly night. You feel like you're wrapped in a cloud. However, even using large needles, it takes several skeins, so it's best to buy as many as you can at once, because when you order additional ones, the dye lots can be quite different. And it does take a lot. For a decent sized throw, you should figure on needing at least seven or eight, at least. But they hold up well and the colors are magnificent. Every time they come up with a new one, I try to think who I might know who could use a pillow or an aphghan!

Beautiful and soft yarn!

I LOVE this yarn! I'm new to crocheting and have just finished my first project- a throw blanket, using this yarn. It took 4 skeins of it, but the patterns it created are beautiful. I've ordered two more sets of colors to do baby blankets for friends and family!

I just finished an Afghan with this and my husband loves it. The colors are great. I made it in a basketweave pattern. The pattern was free from the Bernat website. Earlier this year I knitted a garter stitch baby blanket using Bernat's pitter patter blanket yarn for my Great-granddaughter and everyone loved it. I only found one join in the 3 &1/2 skeins that I used.

So soft and squishy!!

Best yarn EVER!! So soft and squishy. I've knit and crocheted with it. And at $7 a big ball this was a steal compared to Joanns. Walmart, etc. I love when I don't have to leave my house with my small kids for things like this! In the picture is at least 100+ chains long, 15+ rows hdc, 1 and 1/2 balls used. Also this yarn washes amazingly in the washing machine and dryer. I have another blanket for my kids that is washed all the time.

I have made so many blankets with this using a marshmallow stitch and I keep getting more requests! Warm and soft, does not fall apart. The second is the Plum Fields.

My favorite brand of blanket yarn

My favorite brand of blanket yarn. I have purchased this brand in so many color and made so many project with it. Vibrant colors that do not fade, easy to work with, super soft. I love the jumbo rolls too,last much longer. I only have one complaint about this brand, and I have to be really honest that I overlook it because it is so minor, it doesn't take much to break the yarn apart with little force. If you have a tangle do not pull hard to try and straighten it out, it will break. But again, I overlook that issue and have leaned just how hard I can pull so I don't have the issue.

Came quickly!! Soooo soft, OPEN CAREFULLY!(if yarn is still in packaging, a lot of times they have cool pattern instructions and these ones do for a sweet blanket! There are crochet guides and knit guides! My only complaint is that one seemed to slip out of its original packaging and paper wrap and unravel all around and in the box about 15-20 feet, but no major tangles yet as I’m spooling it! I will probably add more to this review once I’m finished with my project!
