Love working with this yarn. Great quality and so soft for baby blankets.

This is wonderful stuff. A friend gifted me 3 skeins of Silver Steel, enough to make an afghan using a hdc, sl st repeated design, using a P/16 hook. I decided I wanted a border on it, so I ordered this hoping to pick up the medium grey of the silver steel, and added a 3 row border using sc, hdc, and dc rows, making the finished size 42"x72". As a FYI, this is NOT the medium grey used in the Silver Steel, it is a shade lighter, but there is not enough difference between those 2 greys for most people to notice. This very soft bulky chenille style yarn works up so fast, I had this done in 3 days. This is machine washable and dryable and is not to be dry cleaned.

Brand new to crochet, I bought my first 3 skeins at Michaels because this yarn was so squishy and soft without shedding fiber. When I saw the taupe color on sale at Amazon it was God’s way to tell me to make a blanket (pattern calls for 6 skeins). The sand color i bought with the taupe color is also yummy, a muted mustard gold color. I have since bought 7 more skeins to crochet a 2nd blanket. I am loving this yarn and the free patterns offered on Bernat’s web site.

I used this yarn to crochet a floor pouf for my our new living room. The color is very true to the picture, and is a beautiful black. The yarn is super soft and super easy to work with. I used both a 6.5mm and a 8mm crochet hook with the product and it was easy to work with both. The finished product is very sturdy and soft. I would highly recommend this yarn, even for the price. My only complaint is how easily this particular yarn collects dust and lint. The texture makes it especially susceptible.

This is the softest yarn that I have ever crocheted with. I use this to make blankets. Everyone who feels this yarn ends up ordering a blanket from me. Very high-quality yarn and worth every penny I pay for it. This yarn doesn’t snag like other bulky yarns can. You will most likely need larger sized Knitting needles or crochet hook to work with this yarn.

Having recently spent the last year renovating a majority of my home (think grey!) my 'pop' colors are teal, yellow, orange and green. I recently purchased several skeins of this yarn in teal, light grey, pumpkin spice and antique white to crochet a blanket for our family room. Still waiting on the remainder of the yarn to arrive so that I can get started. from the feel of it...it'll be awesome!

The Bernat Blanket yarn never fails to please! All the colors are glorious! I've even used it to "super size" amigurumi patterns for stuffed animals to make them big and snuggable. This yarn doesn't seem to pill or fuzz up at all, and so far none of the skeins (in various colors) I've gotten have had knots or other problems with them. Excellent. This yarn is so lovely and soft!

(Definitely not Purple Plum the way I imagined that color, but that's not Amazon's fault LOL) The yarn is extremely plush and soft polyester. The skein is the same size as my head! It's like a small watermelon! Quite impressive, for sure. Someday, with more friends of different colors, this skein is gonna be a throw blanket! It's kinda stiff to work with because my stitches are so tight, but I think I could start over and use a bigger needle and it would make a difference. It really is the perfect yarn for a blanket.

I bought this yarn because I ran out of what I had when making a blanket. I was using it for a chunky crochet blanket that would whip up quickly. It came together beautifully. The yarn is extremely soft and only got better after going through the washer and dryer. Washed it with cold water and ran it in the dryer on low heat. Didn't shrink - only got softer.

Love this yarn for blankets. I made one for a friend for Valentine's day using c2c crochet. The texture is really soft and crochets nicely while coming out of the center of the skein fairly easily once you get it started. I experimented with the type and number of stiches to make sure the finished project would be warm.
