Fantastic playhouse

Fantastic playhouse. I built this for our 3 and 5 year old granddaughters and they love it. It has provided a wonderful source of imaginative play. Each of the special parts beyond the mere structure are very well-designed and immediately captured our girls’ imagination. Thoroughly recommended. All the components were there including some extra screws and fixings. Instructions are purely graphic - no written instructions. Allow a half day to assemble

Six hours to put together and an Immediate hit with daughters - time will test durability?

I would consider myself an “average joe” handy person. It took my twelve year old son and I six hour to put together. It was an immediate hit with the girls (ages 3 and 1) right after it started to take shape. Might have been able to get done a little quicker if I didn’t have to work around them while they were trying to play in it. In no way is it a storm proof shelter. However, I do not believe that what it was intended to be? I definitely can foresee having to fortify the roof and definitely painting with exterior paint for purposes of ensuring it lasts longer. Update: it’s been through 4 seasons now and with it being painted, has held up really well. No warping of the roof (that was not reinforced, only painted) everything still in excellent shape except for the where our dogs chewed on the table bench. Still very pleased with it

I would like to say that this was so easy to put ...

I have a daycare in Minnesota. I bought the playhouse for inside, due to our long winters. I would like to say that this was so easy to put together and I did it all by myself! The instructions were amazing, thank you to whom ever wrote or worked on the instructions. Great job! It was one little baby step at a time. All the pieces had a number, there for I knew just what piece that I needed for each baby step. Love the layout and children love it too! I would like to say that who ever designed and figured out or worked on this playhouse did such a great job! I truly mean this! It has every thing that I was looking for and more! The only two thing that I needed to add or change to this playhouse, was a handle on the inside of the door and lower the mail box due to my daycare children are 2 and 3 years. Just a little to high. If you are looking for a playhouse this has it all!

Easy to put up! Darling!

The playhouse went up today. It took one person four hours. He said the instructions were really easy to follow (this was his first playhouse). I put a coat of polyurethane. It is adorable and my three year old has already spent hours playing in it!

Nice size, sturdy house

Good size, great value. Box was damaged as many others stated...am missing 3 hinges (out of 6) that keep roof on, the parts bag had busted open. I can order any missing or damaged parts easily thru KidKraft within 90 days. I like their easy parts order feature! Took my husband about 4 hours to complete assembly, he also made a wooden platform for it then covered it in artificial turf...our 8 yr old loves it! Will put water seal on it soon.

It's perfect.

We ended up putting this in our children's playroom. I could go outside, but living in Florida we would have to also treat/seal it. It's perfect.

beautiful playhouse

MY 6 yr old loves it. It took me 4.5 hours to put it together myself. The instructions were very clear and the parts were clearly labeled. You just have to make sure you go slow and don't rush b/c it would be easy to accidentally install a part backwards. I did add shingles to the roof (based on other recommendations) which was a simple process and have also waterproofed it. All things considered - I couldn't expect a better product given the low cost of this house. I expect a lot of fun to be had in the house for the next couple years.

Good Purchase

LOTS of parts so follow the directions! But, so cute and sturdy for the kiddos. Good purchase.

Great kit. Sturdy, easy to assemble, and perfect for our toddler.

We decided to get this item instead of a plastic playset and we are happy with the results. It was easy to assemble and took about 5 hours total to build it. The best part about this is the materials are wood so it can be customized to add your personal touch. We painted ous to match our house and added shingles to help it last longer. It's been a hit with our 2-year old.
