I don't think I've ever been so happy with a purchase on Amazon
I don't think I've ever been so happy with a purchase on Amazon. I purchased two of these rods, one in oil rubbed bronze and one brushed nickel. Both are extremely well made and have beautiful finishes. They were extremely easy to mount with two people. I had read about the difficulty with the end cap screws, and two of them did give me trouble with the oil rubbed bronze finish, but the end result is recessed screws that are barely noticeable, so I felt it was worth the effort. We purchased these because we just retiled our two bathrooms, and had planned on installing shower doors. Because I wasn't convinced shower doors were the best option, and given the low cost of these rods in comparison to shower doors; I decided to try one of these first. Also, since these don't require hardware to mount, they would be easy to swap out with shower doors if we felt that was a better option. Well, once installed, these were just very impressive. They are very stable. I can throw my wet towel over the top without the least movement. They also make the shower feel much larger than before. I have the impression of a big walk in shower. I know shower doors would not have had the same affect, not to mention these cost a fraction of the price of doors. The only negative experience was while placing the curtain rollers on the rod, I scratched the finish of the oil rubbed bronze rod, but I was able to hide the exposed bronze with a black sharpie. I would unreservedly recommend this product to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to improve their shower.

I have purchased 4 of these rods of the last couple of years and have been satisfied each time (2 for my bathrooms
Gives you a pressure fit install without having to drill walls in your house. I have purchased 4 of these rods of the last couple of years and have been satisfied each time (2 for my bathrooms, 1 for parents, 1 for sister). You need an extra hand to install but install is not complicated, so far they haven't rusted, tarnished, or shown signs of daily wear. Love the extra elbow space in the shower, highly recommended!

Nice looking, easy installation, prevents gross shower curtain touching and great for non-conventional tub wall configurations
Install it with the help of my roommate. Worked in an offset wall placement scenario. ie. we had to place the rubber foot on the front closer to the outside edge of the bathtub wall, we placed the rear rubber foot closer to the centre of the tub because we have a window on the rear of the bathtub wall. Because the rubber feet mounts are attached to the bar on vertical axles, you can mount the feet in an offset configuration or even on front and rear walls that are not parallel. Great, flexible design that worked in our place. You may need a helper to install. I assembled it, and then mounted the shower curtain, then my roomie and i held it in place where we wanted it and leveled it, then marked the rod with a grease pencil when it was full extended then took it down, extended the rod 1 cm / 10mm / 1/3 of inch, screwed in the middle allen key screw that secures the length of the rod, then slid the rubber feet into place where we marked on the vinyl walls of the bathtub area. VIOLA! SOLID INSTALLATION COMPLETED. We will see if will hold up to the late night shower episodes lol.

Super easy to install
Super easy to install. Not sure why some reviews say it was hard. Looks great! I hope it really holds up to it's rust free claim. That is the reason I bought it. Will update in a few months

Perfect Solution But Get A Friend To Help
The assembly is easy enough for one person but when actually installing it, you should definitely enlist the help of a friend to hold the bar in place while finishing up the last steps. I had to do it myself and getting it even so that the bar is straight and the then twisting it to get the right amount of tension applied was not easy an easy feat for this short little Asian girl. It felt a little dangerous since it was like a balancing act while standing up on the edge of the tub. Once I was actually able to get the bar installed, it was perfect. It looks great and I haven't had any problems or issues with it slipping or moving. It does exactly what you would expect in creating that extra space in a narrow tub. The best part was that since I am a renter, it was a safe way to not have to drill any holes into the existing tile or wall. I'm sure my landlord appreciates this as much as I appreciated not having to grab the power tools.

Yay for new shower curtain rod!
I love my new shower curtain rod! Instalation took a bit longer than I had anticipated, but that is only because personally, I did not want to miss a step or install anything wrong. As long as you follow the instructions in the manual, installation shouldn't be too difficult. Now that I have installed one, if I were to install another, I wouldn't need the instructions as installation is pretty simple. The only advice I have is that if you are following the manual step by step, DO NOT skip the step that tells you to extend the rod by 2.5 turns before inserting the little screw. You'll know what I mean when you get there. FYI, I installed this by myself. Also, if you buy new shower curtain rings (like I did), slide these on before connecting the two halves of the rod together. This will save you the time and hassle of having to put each ring on individually.

Super easy to install
These were very easy to install - easier than any of the other ~6 types I have installed in my life. Look great - will see if they truly never rust but so far so good! Only tools needed (two allen wrenches) were in the box. Instructions were good and only steps to install. Note: these do NOT bolt into your walls. They work by pressure against the walls and have a clever way to adjust near the right length and then tighten in good. The bases that are against the wall (5-6 inch diameter) are bigger than some to distribute the pressure and hold them in place solid.

Pricey but worth it!
We bought this rod for a new construction bathroom. It is hung between textured drywall, above a fiberglass shower/tub insert. We hated to put holes in the new drywall, so we opted for the tension style. After reading several reviews, we settled on this one and are happy we did. So far, we are very pleased. It looks great in the bathroom, feels very sturdy, and makes our shower feel roomy! It was fairly easy to install; however, it does require 2 people: one person to hold one end to the wall, while the other person adjusts the tension at the other end. There are actually 2 tension settings. First you tighten a screw in the rod to set the "approximate" overall length and then you twist a small section of rod to "fine tune" the length and tension.

Don’t drill holes! Get this instead
This is a great additional to any small bathroom and gives a nice boost of space inside any shower. Easily adjusts for a wide range of widths, very easy to install, and looks great. Why drill holes through the wall or tile when you can install this yourself in less than 30 minutes without drilling? I installed it myself and it is very secure. Easily adjustable and tightening to get a snug fit once you have it measured properly. And it comes with a lifetime no rust warranty. TIP: Get the curtain hangers with the little rollers on them that Amazon offers. The extra money is extremely worth it because the rollers slide effortlessly on the shower bar and do not get caught anywhere.

Easy, quick install.
Guys. I’m a pretty handy girl but I was a little intimidated at the thought of installing own shower curtain. Saw some mixed reviews on here, but I thought I’d give it a shot. And I’m SO glad I did. Since I’ve moved into my apartment a year ago I’ve been unhappy with how small my shower is, and my arm bumping into the curtain while showering. This rod will totally fix that!! My only note- one part of the instructions tell you to “twist the rod twice” before you set the final pin. This confused me (twist what? Twist and move? Just twist?) so I gave the rod a little extra length and set the pin. That was a mistake, as then the rod was too long. Easily, easily fixed though by loosening the pin and shortening the rod. After that, I put it in place and twisted the heck out of it to get tension. I’m guessing you want the rod to be like a half inch or quarter inch smaller than how wide your opening is. I moved the curtains over to the new rod, but haven’t showered yet. I’ll update this if I experience anything less than stellar performance when I’m using it, but currently I’d say “Go for it”!
