Great item!
Baught this to make quesadillas and it does a splendid job. The giant cookies and pizzas are a nice bonus. There is a terrific pizza crust recipe included in the recipes that came with this item.

Quicker and easier pizza .....
I was actually looking for a quesadilla maker when I came across this. I found it appealing because it could cook so many things and I don't want to store another small appliance that only makes one thing. I read the reviews and was kind of skeptical, but I ordered it anyway. It came on time and secured in a larger box. I took it out of the package and read the manual. The manual does not say to "burn off" the chemicals before using, but I did it anyway because of the suggestions by the other reviewers. I remembered the smoking and terrible smell others have encountered. I did not have any of that. I left it on and open for twenty minutes. I unplugged it and the cleaned it as is recommended in the manual. Then I let it cool and "seasoned" it - per the manual. Then next day, I actually made pizza in it. I made a Digorno pepperoni rising crust pizza first. It took 13 minutes exactly to get the crust a golden brown. My family says it was the best Digorno pizza they have ever had! I did have to use an oven mitt (not a pot holder) as the sides do get hot and some steam does escape when you open the lid. Use a spatula to check your pizza's crust while it is still in the maker. Then, when it is done, slide the spatula and a pancake turner (one on each side) - and have a large plate ready - and just slide it onto the plate. Don't worry - it sounds more complicated than it is! Then I made a cheese Totinos pizza, It cooked in 8 minutes! That pizza maybe could have went one more minute, but I didn't want it to burn. Totino's has a very thin crust. It tasted great too! All of this without heating up the oven and hand washing a pizza pan that does not really fit well into the dishwasher. The manual comes with recipes and approximate times for cooking different foods. I just happened to have cinnamon rolls in a can in the fridge. I just had to try them in the maker. They cooked in 8 minutes! If and when I make them again - I will remove them at 7 minutes. They were almost burned at 8 minutes. But they still tasted great. I can't wait to make quesadillas in this maker. I am going to try large cookies with parchment paper too. I am so happy with this purchase! Easy to clean and to store. So much easier than normal pizza night! There is not a timer on this pizza maker. You will have to check the pizza by opening the lid occasionally. I wrote down the times of everything I cooked so it will be easier next time. I set the timer on the stove and checked the food after five minutes. This method proved to be right for perfect crust.

Instead of writing a positive review for the product I'd like to give the folks at Betty Crocker a virtual hug for how simple and great this pizza maker works.Me and my family used to love making pizzas in our old home in the gas oven kinda more than a person should be having pizza. When we moved into our new remodeled home it came with a new electric oven. The new oven would not cook the bottom of the pizza at all while it burned the top of the pizza.Being it from frozen pizza or made from scratch the same results. We tried changing the temperatures, pans, settings, position of pizza in the oven and every time the pizzas would still come out burned on top and not cooked on bottom. We finally gave up on cooking pizzas in the oven so I decided to get the Betty Crocker. So far now making pizzas on it they came out perfect just how we used to like them. The bottoms finally get cooked now and not burned on top. I put pics up of the pizzas I made on the first try. One pizza is frozen DiGiorno rising crust, the other is made from scratch and the third one is Boboli crust and I just put the ingredients on myself. Each one was cooked for about 11 minutes with me lifting the lid a couple times to check on them. This is a really good product I recommend and now we can go back to eating pizzas more than a person should. Once I figure out how to make this giant cookie on it I'll report back the results and throw a pic up

Great for pizza.
Absolutely wonderful. We buy large fresh pizza at Sams, and cut them into eight pieces, We put 2 uncooked slices in zipper bags. To bake in my range at 375 degrees takes 22 minutes & I have to heat the entire oven for 2 pieces of pizza. This pizza makers takes 11 minutes. The crust comes out much better than in the oven & we can get it done faster with less electricity & less heating the house in the summertime.

Fun Product for 50+ quick food fixes!
This was a "What the hell, lets get one" purchase. and I use this thing everyday almost! I make eggs, pizza, hot sandwiches, pancakes, nacho's, cinnamon buns and much more. I try to think of what next creation I can use on this all the time. THe kids love it also. For the price, I LOVE IT! COn: Not many Cons, but the only 2: - No temp function- Some foods wont work as its one constant heat and burns bottom sometimes when it needs to cook longer..Example: Made a pizza- Used Crusant rolls as the dough- sauce and cheese. The dought was thing at start- but when it cooked, it rose thick, and the bottom was a tad burnt(I don't mind, but wife does) and by the time the middle was ready, the bottom was over cooked. - Hard to move when done cooking as its superhot- -Also- No on or off button, must always unplug. Other than that- Amazing product!

I dig it.
I really like this thing. It’s really convenient to cook with and easy to clean. It’s definitely not just for pizza. I throw frozen shredded hash browns on there and they cook up really fast. No oil needed, though I add a little butter for taste. Also make quesadillas, grilled cheese, hamburgers, etc. I’m using it much more than I thought I would. For clean up, just wipe it out with a warm washcloth or paper towel.

Spectacular pizza in about 7 mins
It's my first time reviewing something on Amazon. But I had to. When I bought this pizza maker, I was a bit suspicious and also dreading my boyfriend's mockeries. Do we really need another thing in our kitchen???!! But then I used it for the first time and he goes, and I quote :" I know I'll suffer through I told you so for the rest of my life but this pizza is pretty damn good" he said before gulping down the whole thing. It's by far the most used item in our house and he's the one using it with his friends. I'm not done saying I told you so yet.

I'm happy so far with everything
I'm happy so far with everything. This is my second one in a year........the first one broke after about 8 months. I'm hoping that this one lasts longer ! Excellent for frozen pizza and also very good for eggs, bacon, ham, grilled cheese, calamari, chicken wings, etc.

Hard to beat
I went to a pizza party, and the host was bragging about his electric pizza maker, which was about this size, but he said cost him $200. I thought that was a lot. For the $30 or so bucks this cost, I figured I'd give it a try, as I did not want to spend very much to make an occasional homemade pizza. But I must say whenever I tried, and used my conventional oven, the dough just was never cooked enough. So this arrived promptly and really does a fine job. It's simple, easy to wipe the surface clean after use, and cooks the dough nice and crispy. It's hard to go wrong at this price.
