Surprisingly effective
I was dining in a local restaurant and saw the staff using this sweeper to clean around/under tables. Sometimes you see the manual type units but not a battery powered “home” unit. I was intrigued. I have 3 cats who are messy eaters and manage to get cat litter outside their box, too. Dragging out the “big” vacuum is a chore for spot work and the little Shop Vac unit I got for this type of sweeping is less convenient than the big vac to use. Enter the Bissell. Picks up the dry food crunchy bits and litter very well. The dirt cup is easy to empty and wash out plus NO BENDING OVER to use (very big deal for me). Does it replace a full size vacuum? No, nor is it intended too. But keeping up with the mess between full cleaning is now easy. Works well on tile, hardwood and carpet. Run time on the battery is 8-12 hrs before a charge is needed for me. I usually charge it once every week to 10 days while at work. Plug in when I leave, ready when I get home. It’s been a real time/back saver for me.

Very helpful with three dogs and a toddler
With my toddler constantly spilling food and my dogs ripping up toys, it has become difficult to clean up and my vacuum was not happy with me. After getting this , it helped to clean up the bigger items that my vacuum doesn't like to pick up. Even my toddler loves using it.

Best thing for picking up beads (anything from a Czech Firepolish to a 15/0 seed) that I've found
I'm a beader who stitches jewelry with very Very small beads (15/0 seed beads to be exact). About the size of a pin's head. I'm also very klutzy. The reason I bought a sweeper was to clean up after bead drops and spills. The reason I bought this particular sweeper was the clear dirt container. I've got two cats, so there is Always cat hair on the floor. The clear container makes it possible for me to visually scan the contents to look for beads. It's not perfect. The perfect sweeper would somehow separate the beads from the cat hair. It's still a chore, but it's better than just sweeping. Sweeping always sends some of the beads rolling and skittering away. I'll find a bead only to sweep/launch it into orbit (or under the stove or refrigerator). This sweeper doesn't give the little suckers the chance to escape. A vacuum with a clear dirt cup is too powerful. And sorting through that big deep cup is really not fun. And there's the buttons and locks to mess with to hold the vacuum's dirt cup in place. Getting the beads out of the sweeper's dirt container is not perfect. If I spot beads in the container, I have to dump all of the contents onto a tray and pick them out. I can't just reach in, and pick them out. I was hoping that the top would give me access to the dirt contents, the way my mother's did 50 years ago. On the bright side, the sweeper's dirt container just lifts out, one easy tug. No buttons to push or unlock. To empty the container, you've got to tilt and tap it. The cat hair and beads spill out easily. Then you just drop the container back into place, and away you go. Getting the dirt container in and out of the sweeper couldn't be easier. And the battery Does hold a charge. I avoid anything with a rechargeable battery because they never seem ready to go. So far the sweeper's battery has been good. I don't need to charge it before every use. And it's really quiet, despite the motor. Which doesn't cause the cats to go racing out of the room further complicating catching those escaping beads. The cats look at the sweeper with disdain, and go back to sleep. It's not perfect for my dropped bead needs. Perfect, I suppose, would be never dropping beads. Or asking the maid to find my beads, but alas, I've no maid. Or to train the cats to clean them up, right? But it's the best thing I've come across for dropped beads -- so far. . .

Worth every penny!
Great rechargeable carpet sweeper. Heads turn nicely on any depth carpet. Does not suck like a vacuum. Instead spinning brush sweeps the surface of the floor. Works on hardwood and carpet. We use for everying in between maid visits every couple weeks. Also picks up kitty litter very well.

Looks like a toy, but actually works
When I got it, it looked like a toy. But it was easy to put together, and actually felt pretty solid. There's no power cord, it's just recharged from a wall-wart, which I just let charge overnight. I then started it up and it was oddly quiet. I used it to clean an area rug and bare wood floor and it I was surprised that it did a good job. It's light and easy to handle; just it move slowly back and forth, and it actually works. It picked up dust, dirt, and even pumpkin seeds. The dirt is gathered neatly into a little plastic compartment that just pops out w/o exploding into a dust cloud. Nice design. Nice to be able to do quickie clean ups w/o having to haul out the canister vacuum. Definitely worth $40. Addendum: After 8 months it just died. I saw another review saying this had happened, but I figured it was an aberration. Looks like it's a bigger risk than I thought.

The best thing I’ve ever purchased as a mom.
If you’re on the fence about this - let me help you. Today I swept up wet macaroni and cheese, runny scrambled eggs, chewed up mandarin oranges, half a bag of flour and at least three gallons of sand from our sandbox. I’m a mom to six kids under seven and I can confidently say that this is the best purchase I’ve made since becoming a mom. I have heard the batteries die easily, so I purchased the extra warranty from amazon and I feel secure that this bad boy has already paid for itself in the two weeks I’ve owned it. 15/10 recommend!

Great so far! Picked up dog hair and dirt easily!
Just got it in today to try out for my mom. Visiting her with 2 dogs will definitely be leaving hair for her to clean up when I go. Was undecided between this and one of the Shark cordless vacuums. After I ordered this I read how it didn't have any sort of suction, some folks complained about it, and it was too late to cancel the order since it was processing. Took about 2 min to assemble and the battery surprisingly had enough charge to try it on the living room and kitchen. I charged it for about 20min to show her and we moved some stuff in the living room to see if it's working well enough for her needs or if we needed to return it. We are posting photo of what it picked up!

Excellent sweeper - has replaced my broom!
I love this electric sweeper. I purchased with the idea of using it to keep our front porch clean. I have rugs and furniture out there and wanted a way to keep dirt and leaves off the front porch. I have to admit I keep it in my kitchen and use it to suck up all of the dry dog food kibbles the dogs leave all over the kitchen floor. It's so easy to grab it and suck up the dry dog food (my dogs are incredibly messy eaters). I use it daily and try to remember to charge it once a month. It's easy to dump out and clean.

Must have for this Momma!
This little electric sweeper is a MUST HAVE in our home. We have lament floors and low pile rugs throughout the house. The kids drag in grass, leaves, drop cheerios, crumbs, sand... I LOVE having this little guy in the corner. It weighs NOTHING, push pedal on/off and its relatively quiet ( I can use it when the baby naps). And it's quiet and light enough I can use it without scary the baby OR with holding a baby on my hip. The battery has a great lifespan. It's so nice to be able to clean up a mess before it gets carried around the house on little feet. Also, it's easy to empty and clean.

Love this!
This little baby has changed my life! The 1st floor of my house is all hardwood with several area rugs. I use this on both types of surface. This is awesome for quick cleaning so I don't have to drag out my vacuum or broom. Don't let the quiet little motor fool you. This thing has some power! I ran it for about 10 minutes and the dust container was full! It is so simple to use and the dust container is easy-peasy to remove and empty. I have a feeling that my vacuum is going to get less use just because this is so handy and does such a good job.
