This is the same trunk my son's school recommended that he purchase. However, when purchasing from the school, you must buy the wheels separately, then add shipping. Even with the coupon code, we still ended up saving about $30. The trunk is heavy and seems very sturdy. It is made from plywood and the inside is not lined or painted. The wheels seem strong enough to hold the heavy trunk plus its contents, but we will not know for sure until move-in day in a few weeks! So, for now, it appears to be exactly what I expected :)

Good amount of space for college and very secure for ...

This trunk is a beast. A little heavier than others but solidly built (I stood on it and I weigh in at 300lbs). Buy a separate padlock for it because there is no lock (which I believe they mentioned), just a magnetic clasp and two buckles. Good amount of space for college and very secure for valuables if you don't feel a safe is necessary. Worth a little extra money.

Very sturdy

My son took this back and forth to boarding school and now college. It has held up very well over the past 2yrs with no issues. It’s the perfect size to fit under a standard height twin bed.
