Great Price and Relatively Easy to Install
This item works like a charm and does the trick once you figure out for sure that this is your problem with your truck not starting. See the youtube videos on the subject and how to replace the clutch switch on your Freightliner truck if found to be faulty. You can test your truck to see if your clutch switch is your starting problem just like they say on the youtube videos. By the way, this is a common starting problem for Freightliner trucks. It is an item that fails more than once in the trucks lifetime. When I looked at mine, I could clearly see that someone had already replaced it once before. See my comments about this in my disliked section below. Liked: The price is great compared to the Freightliner OEM pricing and it is relatively easy to diagnose and install yourself without a mechanics help. Disliked: What they don't tell you on the youtube channel about installing your own clutch switch on your Freightliner truck is that the OEM torx bolt heads strip easily while trying to remove them. Someone had already replaced my clutch switch once on my truck and stripped the torx head bolts. But they were too cheap to spend the 30 cents extra cost to replace the stripped torx bolts. Then they reinstalled the stripped torx head bolts to my dismay. To remedy this and not be delayed in completing your repair I would suggest buying a set of bolt extractor sockets. This will allow you to easily remove the stripped torx bolts if that happens to you and keep you moving with your repair. You can get a13 piece set of bolt extractor sockets for about $35.00 dollars on Amazon.com at the time of my writing this review. Also, you should buy about 6 extra hex head replacement bolts to replace the torx head bolts once you get them removed. As I mentioned earlier in this review, you will probably have to replace the clutch switch on your Freightliner truck more than once in the trucks lifetime.

It fit and it works.
Disconnect the cable, remove 4 bolts in the firewall for the clutch and one bolt on the sw. Replace and reverse, the intermittent start problem goes away.
