Our 9-year old son has a lot of Mega Nerf guns so we are constantly in search of the best bang for our buck when it comes to replacement bullets. We recently hosted a Nerf Birthday party consisting of 11 kids with many mega guns. We bought two types of bullets - generic brand mega bullets and Nerf brand mega bullets. The Nerf brand was $10.99 for 20 and the generic brand was $9.95 for 30. After 2.5 hours of aggressive, crazy, action in both optimal (indoor) and snowy, wet conditions, the Nerf brand bullets that were retrieved were in excellent condition. The generic bullets lost about half of their tips and were jammed in many guns. Aside from the Nerf brand getting quite dirty, their tougher foam and glued tips held up well and were the bullets that all the kids were running for. Let's face it - this hobby is an expensive one! I'd love to find a more inexpensive replacement bullet for the mega series, but so far I have gone through 2 different kids of generic replacement mega bullets and they just simply can't hold up in comparison to the Nerf Brand. I'm done looking elsewhere...from now on I will ONLY buy the Nerf Brand. (Picture shows both brands of bullets after the party.)

This 20 pack of large darts fits my son's Nerf sniper rifle. It was on sale for under $4 and I was allowed to buy 3 packs at that price. That means my son has 60 mega sniper darts to lose for less than $10. If we assume that the lawn mower will chew up at least 37 of these darts and the vacuum cleaner will eat another 12 as it slowly breaks down from all the other toys that it has inadvertently inhaled, then ad the few that I secretly throw into the trash because they are in the bathtub or my bed, you still have enough darts for my son to shoot at everything he's forbidden to shoot at; glassware, important photos, my butt, etc. He has a lot of fun with these darts and I can live with that since it was such a deal. At the regular retail price, my satisfaction would bring this down to four stars.

Ok, so I am 50 and work in one of those places that allows you to wear flip-flops and allows for some mischief at the end of the day to relax after grinding it on the phones. When I started, they had the little foam darts that people would toss around by hand. Too light and hard to get any distance on. I saw these and made an impulse purchase. Oh, man! These are GREAT! You can hurl these and get great distance! The best part is they emit a sound like mortars in old war movies. I had no idea but an added bonus. It's light hearted fun and a goofy toy that people at my work place get a kick out of.

I got 2 of these packs, for about 5 bucks each, which makes them cheaper than some of the other mega dart knockoffs. My rule of thumb is go for the genuine name brand darts when its within a similar price range or cheaper. Knockoff darts tends to have issues with dart tips coming off, or inconsistent foam, which affect how the darts fly. These darts are great for this discounted price. I only have 2 mega blasters and I wanted more dart for when I eventually lose darts

I needed a reason to bombard children as they return from a long day at school. Alas, I’ve got it. I found a mega nerf gun for a whopping $2 at a yard sale and only needed bullets to fill it’s 24 holes for maximum effort. I found these, amazing price for the amount you get, and the wait to receive them was the only thing saving the little naive souls, who have no idea what’s coming. Finally the day has come, I received them super fast in the mail and it was a perfect day, I loaded my weapon of choice, my pockets, and off we went to stake out for the bus to drop them off. 6 children got off the bus and off I went in a full blown attack! The bullets flew far and wide and the unsuspecting children yelled and ran. Success. I’ve won. And at a great price I’ll continue to do it again and again.

wow i bought some generic ones that were much cheaper not really thinking there would be a huge difference, however these are like day and night with the cheap ones. these are 100% better in accuracy and with careful examination I might try to salvage the cheap ones by stabilizing the shafts so they are more accurate but this all depends on how much the thin tubing is that would fit in them, if its more than $10 than it wont be worth it... buy these they are great...and amazon has a super price on these

Nerf guns are a blast, the generic brands do not compare as far as I've come to know. In my opinion, Nerf is one of the greatest toy enterprises out there....(they make footballs and basketball toys too); they're right up there with Lego, and the majority of sturdy classics that can hold the test of time. The 'Nerf mega' is a new type/category of weaponry; made w good quality and more powerful than past products. These Nerf Mega guns especially, and to add most if not all; should come with safety glasses. The larger sized darts pack more of a punch than the smaller darts that come with the original Nerf stuff.

My son was given a mega nerf gun as a hand me down and we needed darts. These arrived quickly and were exactly what we needed. In terms of compatibility, these ONLY work with the “MEGA” series.

This mega dart refill pack was exactly what we were looking for to replace some of our lost and damaged darts. They are original nerf darts, so they are of really good quality. These are the larger mega darts. I wish we could have found a larger pack, but this served our purpose. The mega dart guns are a favorite around the house.

If you own a mega gun you know these strike harder than the little blue ones. These are great for distance and for a little sting if you are playing tag or shoot outs. They have held up well with wear and dirt. You can step on them and still use them (I would not recommend doing this on purpose).
