Best way to learn how to ride a bike!
My son started on this bike at 15 months (11" inseam). We had to slam the seat for him to be able to swing a leg over. Now he's 21 months and riding like a pro. He puts his feet up on the foot rests and loves going to the skate park by our house to roll down ramps. This bike is awesome for toddlers learning to ride. It's super light weight so he doesn't have to maneuver a big chunky bike around. That's also great for me when I have to carry him and the bike. Also the foam tires are really durable and make for low maintenance (no pumps, don't worry about running over thorns, etc.). Skip the tricycle and the training wheels and get a balance bike! -- Don't forget a helmet. My only two complaints: * When the seat is slammed, a section of the seat post sticks out the bottom and hits the kids legs while they walk the bike (when first learning). It kept getting caught on my son's leg and causing him to trip. We ended up just sawing it off. It makes the seat post shorter but this bike comes with a larger saddle and longer seat post that we can use when he gets taller. * The headset isn't a real headset. That results in more play when he really gets going. He'll likely be graduating into his cousin's Specialized Hot Walk as soon as he gets a littler taller because it's built more like a real bike with a stiffer set up.

He loves it!

"I love it; I like that I can balance on ...
My son is 3.5 years old and had never tried to ride a bike. He loves this balance bike. Within a month he was able to balance for about 100 yards at a time. In his words: "I love it; I like that I can balance on it". Through one summer, it is holding up just fine. Tires are foam, but still look great. It is light enough that he can carry it on his own. My only complaint would be that the handle bars are shaped so that there is definitely a correct position and a backward position (if you turn it 180 deg), but it is not very obvious so that my son many times tries to ride it with the handlebars backward...still works, just slightly awkward.

Great for adventurous toddlers!
My son has been on a balance bike for 2 years, and we just bought another for my 2 year old daughter. It takes some practice, but in only a few months she is already gliding around like a pro. I love that they have so much freedom and control when on this bike, and they really learn to balance easily without the need for pedaling. I have no doubt that my 4 year old could pick up a regular bike almost immediately after his experience with this, but he’s still content with this bike for now! The bike is super sturdy, grows with the kids, and withstands the bumps and crashes of learning. I highly recommend this as a first bike for any toddler/preschooler.

Great bike for teaching balance!
We bought this for our grandson (2 years old) after seeing a child even younger riding one. Our grandson loves it and has been riding it every chance he gets. He has always had a helmet on but I would suggest buying elbow, knee pads and gloves so that when the rider crashes, they will get right back on. Excellent for balance, which is why we purchased it as we want to put him on snow skis during ski season this year. Edit: one year + later, he’s on skis and doing great!

Well thought of design. Great bike
Well made bike. The frame is sturdy, the seat is decently padded and the grips are just right for my daughter. The foot rests are not to protruding which you'd think would be nice for more of a foot rest for your little one but I noticed my daughters legs would be hitting them if any wider. Well thought out bike. At its lowest setting it works for my 2 year old to push around and get going.

Built to Last!
I am impressed with the quality from top to bottom. It's super easy to put together (about 5 minutes, including opening the box), and the only tool needed was the included Allen wrench. My son is 2 years old. Based on the seat height for him, I would agree that it could be adjusted a little lower for a younger kid. I love that the tires will never go flat! What a great idea! It's well built, for sure. I'm 170 lbs, and it doesn't sag or flex when I sit on it (I know I'm not supposed to sit on it...but I had to try). Based on all that, there was no way I was going with a cheaper, "off-brand". Not cheap, but this is definitely a get-what-you-pay-for item.

but this was a great learning tool
My 4 year old son loves this bike. He had issues leaning how to pedal with a regular bike, so this was a cheap way for him to at least get the idea that a bike goes forward and fast! Not an issue now, but this was a great learning tool. The wheels are the best part, cause they never need to be inflated. They are hard and durable polymer/rubber combo. This bike is best used on FLAT concrete or asphalt. There are NO BREAKS, so be careful on hills. I take my son to a small local skate park with plenty of flat land for him to ride on and it's very smooth.

A+++ Best first bike!.. Add to cart
This should be every child's 1st bike. This is our 2nd bike. My 3 year old son road his first bike very hard daily. That's 9 months heavy use. The wheels bearings wore out as to be expected with such heavy use. I chose to replace the bike instead of replacing just the wheels. Bike 2 was also rode very hard. Wheel bearings also lasted for about 9 months. My son got a new bike but still would rather ride his old bike with wobble wheel. A+++
