PROS: -Delicious, tastes like real ginger! -Only 6 ingredients, all natural and pure. -Comes with "Post-Chew" paper wraps so that you can put the gum in a little paper after you're done chewing (only has 5 papers per mini-box) -Since it's all natural, you can spit your gum out on the grass/nature guilty-free! -A lot of gum comes in the box. -Hipster-looking, cool clean design. I really respect well designed products. CONS: -Gum shrinks and gets less chewy quickly (but it's because it's all natural = no toxic preservatives... So it's kind of a PRO) -SUPER Sticky!!! If you try to take it out of your mouth with your fingers, it won't come off your finger. Same with your lips-- I popped a bubble and it stuck all over my mouth. (Thats why I only spit on the grass or use the post-chew papers) -The gum pieces are like little pebbles that look kind of like animal food.. But it doesn't bother me. Only thing is that I have to use at least 3 pieces at a time. The only reason why i would not buy this product again was because the taste of ginger didn't really leave my mouth feeling too "fresh". The taste was super good tho, but I feel like the bulk pack was a bit too much. Next time, if I buy bulk, I'll just stick to Mint.

Happy chewing!
This is the best natural gum I have tried. I got the cinnamon flavor first, but it tasted a little too "earthy" to me and didn't leave my mouth feeling fresh, so thought I would try the mint and I'm glad I did. Very cool and refreshing. This gum isn't sweetened with chemicals so it doesn't taste as sweet as commercial gums, but it has a great minty flavor and definitely leaves your mouth feeling clean. It is soft and has a pleasant texture and the flavor lasts about a half hour for me. I find it gets a little sticky after a while but it seems to be better if you chew 2 pieces as a time. It blows some pretty nice bubbles, too! This comes in a lovely presentation of nicely designed cardboard boxes with little slips of paper to dispose of your used gum, and they wrap the boxes in tissue paper with a ribbon and include a thoughtful hand-written thank you. How nice!

Gum is just gum, right? Not necessarily so.
Being old, I don't get out much these days. Instead, I mostly pass the time by smoking large cigars. Sadly, this is frowned on in the office where I work (I know, right?? Political correctness gone mad!!), so I chew a lot of gum when I'm there, and the flavors at the local CVS get pretty tired the nth time round. So when I saw these, I thought I'd give them a chew. They are pretty different from regular gum. They look, slightly disconcertingly, like pet food pellets; and they come loose and unwrapped in the box. In place of the wrappers, you get a separate bunch of post-chew wrappers, for thoughtful disposal of the used gum. I guess it's as good a way of saving a little on the manufacturing costs as any. The flavor is much less intense than regular gum - I'm not saying if that's good or bad, but there it is. And the flavors themselves? All good. My favorite is the licorice and fennel, a nicely subtle and complex taste; followed by the ginger, which has a nice little bit of heat to it. The coffee and maple syrup flavors are both good, sweet and mild. As for the cinnamon and mint? Well, I have to say, I don't really get cinnamon, it's always reminded me too much of old folk's baking when I was a kid; but the gum tastes like it's been made with the real thing,so that's to the good if you like it. Mint? Well I like a bit of mint as much as the next guy - plucked fresh from the garden on boiled new potatoes or shoved in a glass of hot, sweet tea - but I do feel there's too much mint in my life already. (I blame the toothpaste manufacturers. Would it really hurt so much just to offer us just a couple of choices?) But again, the taste of real mint is there. However, as with any gum, the flavor only lasts a few minutes at most; and this is where Simply Gum actually pulls ahead of regular gum. Instead of being left with what feels like a lump of tasteless soft plastic in your mouth, you actually have a smooth, natural tasting gum remaining. It actually reminds me a lot of the gum we used to make for ourselves from wheat as kids, back in the day. And that's a nice little bonus.

I've been chewing gum to satisfy me during times where I felt like I wanted ...
Since I started getting in shape, I've been chewing gum to satisfy me during times where I felt like I wanted to eat but I knew it wasn't really hunger, and gum does the trick. The sugar free gums on the market usually contain sorbitol or other sugar alcohols that cause gas and other issues, so when I found Simply Gum I ordered this assorted pack. I've tried all the flavors and I like all of them! The flavors here are subdued, they're using natural ingredients so don't expect it to taste like the typical gum experience, however the gum really does taste like each flavor represented. I think my favorites are the ginger (which reminded me a lot of crystalized ginger) and the fennel. It would be nice if the flavor lasted longer, but I think the product is great as it is in it's natural form. Another thing I noted is that once the flavor is gone you can still go on chewing it and it doesn't seem to have that bad taste that I experience in normal gum that makes me want to spit it out. Every piece of the gum I tried was soft, I really wouldn't have any hesitation recommending this to anyone who wants natural gum.

Love The Variety of Flavors, Definitely A Unique Gum
This gum isn't perfect but it's close enough that I'm satisfied. Some flavors seem to have a better/normal "chewing" texture while others seem to feel a bit stickier or slipperier. The flavors are all unique. Probably my least favorite is Cinnamon. It just doesn't have that true cinnamon flavor I'm used to in other cinnamon gums. I love this variety pack because it's so much fun trying all the different flavors. This gum is a little pricey because you need at least 2 pieces each time, or you don't have enough in your mouth to chew. It states on the box that it contains 15 pieces, but the boxes have more than that inside. I just counted them in a new, previously un-opened box and there were 20 pieces inside. Each box contains tiny little papers for disposing of your gum when you're done. You really do need those or at least a tissue because the gum sticks to your fingers like crazy if you just try to remove it and toss it. It's the super glue of gum when it comes to skin contact! It's pretty much impossible to throw it away without spitting it out into a tissue, a trash can or one of the little pieces of papers that it comes with. Despite the price, I will continue to order it. It's a bit of luxury item since it is more expensive than most gums, but it's worth it since I do feel it's healthier and I like the unique flavors. Do wish they would work on the cinnamon to make it more flavorful. Hope they continue to offer additional flavors!

but I actually really like the packaging
I received the gum yesterday. It does look a lot different than "regular" gum, but I actually really like the packaging. The pieces of gum in each little box aren't all uniform. It looks like they are randomly cut from a "roll" of gum. I didn't even notice the "post chew wraps" until I just took a picture of the package! I've been chewing a few pieces (they are small) for about three hours now. At first the flavor is very strong, like all gum. Then it starts to fade, like all gum. I have to say though, that it has not become flavorless or stiff, like typical sugar-free gum. it goes through a very soft and sticky phase for about twenty minutes, then it gets less sticky and less soft, but still not stiff. And I still taste the fennel flavoring. At this point with regular gum there would be absolutely no flavor left at all and I would have thrown it out. I love that I could give this gum to my grandchildren without worrying about all the artificial colors and flavors. So yeah, a winner!

My favorite gum
I am an avid gum chewer. I chew all day long at work and when I'm out and about. After reading several articles about the shady "gum base" ingredient in most gums, I started looking for a healthier gum. Simply gum had the fewest ingredients, so I tried it. I've been chewing this gum for about a year now. It isn't available at any stores in my area, so when I forgot to reorder from Amazon a while back, I opened a pack of store bought gum I had lying around. After chewing Simply Gum for so long, the store bought gum tasted disgusting. This gum comes loose in the box, little brown nuggets. Also in the box are little thin papers you can use to wrap your used gum. I've tried cinnamon, mint, ginger, and fennel licorice. Mint seems to be a little tougher to chew at first than the others. I've ordered at least two boxes of mint in the past year and both were that way. My favorite has to be the fennel licorice. If you don't like black licorice, you won't like this flavor, but the flavor is strong and lasts a long time. Cinnamon has a strong cinnamon flavor that also seems to last a long time. The mint flavor isn't as strong as I'd like and doesn't last as long as the others. I wasn't a fan of the ginger. Nothing wrong with the flavor, just a personal preference. This is my favorite go-to gum, and after forgetting to reorder the last time, I will not forget again. Store bought gum with all the chemicals and "gum base" is disgusting to me now.

Best you can get all around.
Great gum. This will be my new gum as I am transitioning into an all natural/organic lifestyle for me and my family. This is most natural gum you are going to get. I love the natural look, and the flavor of the mint is "just enough" although I could definitely go a little stronger. (I might just be too accustomed to the store brands, that will have you breathing ice cycles) The only downside we noticed is that it is very sticky if you blow a bubble & get it on your lip, or if you take it out of your mouth by hand to throw it away. I'm assuming the store brand products have some toxic chemical in it to keep it from being that naturally sticky. The consistency is very soft & easy to chew. Flavor dissipates as you chew but my mouth still felt minty after 10 minutes. Love the gum!

Sustainable Gum: Glee versus Simply Gum (both get 5/5 green stars).
I bought variety packs of both Glee and Simply Gum to stock up and figure out which is my favorite. Yes, perhaps I have too much time on my hands ;) First, here’s my overall summary of the two for quality and price: Simply Gum (5/5 gold stars): • Simply Gum took me a little while to get used to (my initial rating was 4/5). • Now that I’ve adjusted to the softer, stickier texture, it’s my favorite gum and I find it hard to go back to regular gum. • The flavors are all appealing to me – subtle but interesting – like the “real food” equivalent to regular gum. • The flavor is integrated into the gum (rather than just in a coating) so it’s not overpowering and also lasts quite a long time. • It seems more expensive, but with about 20 pieces per box (one piece at a time is sufficient) it’s actually not bad. A serving of Glee is 2 pieces, so a box of Glee gum contains 8 servings. • The packaging design is beautiful and functional. It makes me a little happy whenever I use it. Glee Gum (3/5 gold stars): • Glee Gum is tasty when you first chew it, but the flavor disappears quickly. • The texture of Glee is also a bit dense and rigid for my liking – especially after a minute when the sugar is gone. • Overall, Glee is economical and fine for people who don’t want to chew for very long. • The flavors are all quite good - my favorites are tangerine and mixed berry. I’d much rather chew either of these gums than go back to a major brand like Trident, etc. This is partly because I prefer Glee and Simply Gum and partly because they are more sustainable. Most leading brands of gum list a “gum base” on their ingredients. This gum base can include polyethylene (plastic), polyvinyl acetate (wood glue), paraffin wax, fats (hydrogenated vegetable oil) and talc. Glee and Simply Gum are both made from natural tree gum (chicle), harvested by tapping Manilkara trees that grow in the rainforests of Central America. I think that both of them are far superior to the big commercial brands of gum and both deserve 5/5 green stars for social and environmental impact. Here is some more info on these two brands: • Harvesting natural gum from trees can help protect rainforests and support a sustainable practice that has gone on for thousands of years. • Natural gum also has a lower carbon footprint than petroleum-derived ingredients that are used to make the “gum base” of commercial gum. • Natural gums (Glee and Simply gum) are also biodegradable – reducing biological hazards (and ugly pavements). • In Simply Gum, most of the ingredients (sugar, glycerin, rice flour) are organically grown. • In Glee Gum, the sugar is not organic but it is Fairtrade certified. • Both Glee and Simply Gum are packaged in recyclable cardboard boxes – no plastic. • Both companies and woman-owned and based in the US. • Glee Gum works with people with disabilities and supports Trees for the Future and scholarships at the Maya University in Mexico. My favorite gum
My favorite gum. I have ordered it twice & will again. I was looking for a natural gum without petrochemicals or artificial sweeteners once I found out what was in Juicy Fruit, which I used to chew a lot. (Juicy Fruit gum consists mostly of sugar contained in a synthetic gum base, with corn syrup and dextrose as bulk agents and natural sweeteners, natural and artificial flavorings, glycerol and lecithin as softening agents, aspartame (NutraSweet) and acesulfame K as artificial sweeteners, Yellow Lake 5 as a coloring and BHT as a preservative.) I tried TreeHugger which I have on Subscribe & Save & like, except it leaves a strange after-taste for many, many hours. This SIMPLY GUM gum is the best. I love, love, love maple. It is not made of synthetic ingredients. It is made of 6 natural ingredients; See photo. It comes sweetly & thoughtfully wrapped & tied from NYC, with a personal hand written note enclosed, which is a delight to see. I like that touch. Thank you Simply Gum <3 I have 3 suggestions: 1) I'd like it on subscribe & save 2) Although I am touched by the social responsibility of the enclosed post-chew wraps, I have never used them, so they 're wasted. I always have a tissue or napkin close by to wrap and toss. You'd save money without the enclosed wraps. 3) Please sell this at my local Whole Foods
